Updated: I was contacted regarding my issue. Associate seems kind and offered to print another book complete with the personal note. I am currently waiting for it to be shipped.
Was so excited about this purchase. I waited patiently and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived and I pulled it out of the package. The cover and title was perfect. The book was great quality as well. I opened the book to look through it and realized that the personalized note that I paid extra for, was nowhere to be found. I decided that it was not that big of a deal as I could just have the grandkids write their own note inside of the book. I continue to scope out the book with more scrutiny because now I found a mistake. As I’m reading one of the chapters, I realized that this book was for pop pop… but they kept referring to him as her and she. Again, I brushed it off thinking OK it’s not that big of a deal so I go further into the chapters and realize that they did not ask questions when I was buying it about the grandkids names or anything like that. They literally got all of the information wrong except for my mother’s name and my name in the book. Everything else was completely impersonalized. Finding multiple things wrong. I contacted the company very nicely asking them if there was a way that I could change out some of the pages to correct this issue because I know that mistakes happen as of right now I still have not received an email back. This is supposed to be for Father’s Day and I need this in a timely matter so that I can go through it and check it again. Customer service has not reached out to me at all and I find this very unprofessional. I’m gonna wait a little longer and then I think I am going to reach out and get my money back if they don’t respond this really is a shame because like I said, it was a great presentation and upon being corrected I think this will be a really nice gift for someone unfortunately, the lack of concern for customer satisfaction is alarming. At this point, I would not recommend.

The quality of the book was excellent and it almost looks exactly like my daughter and grandson. I have ordered 2 books so far and I plan on ordering more.

I just want to say I couldn’t be happier with my experience with MyGiftBook!!!
It was extremely simple to do, just answer some survey questions to provide specific information to build the characters in your story. One thing I’d suggest when you get started is to be more specific about the gender and ages of the people you want in your book. I just provided names and relationships but should have included ages and gender.
But I have had more fun with this!! The quality of the book is top notch!!! I told my wife and she didn’t believe me… it’s truly amazing how much the book reflects the fun I like to have in my life!!!
I’ve enjoyed this experience so much that I’ve already created a new one and I’ll most likely do it a few more times… just for the fun of it!!!
I promise you won’t be disappointed!!!

REVIEW UPDATE:
Customer service did reach out to me following up on my emails to them. Although it did take a while - they worked with me to fix the issue of some chapters not having an ending. Once customer support reached out there were a few emails that went back and forth and response time was 24 hours or less - Impressive!

We ended up getting a different book and the one we got was outstanding!

Some things to keep in mind: AI is good and not perfect-

Add as much detail as you can

Age, gender and relationships of names that you give “matter” and do make a difference-including any pets.

Your book will be more rich with content if you are able to add an event or a short memory or two to as many of the “prompt answers” as possible.

The prompt that asks where they live if the person has moved put that information in there-

GIFTMYBOOK: I wanted to try this site as an alternative to book tailor - I had just ordered 4 books from booktailor and loved every one of them! It was encouraging to see the option of getting a digital form for a small additional price. I received the digital copy and noticed that the chapters did not finish - I emailed the support email - It has been a good 5 days and no response. I received the paper book in the mail and in deed - many chapters, the stories not finished. I reached out again regarding this and it has been a couple days - no response. The book layout is slightly different than book tailor. It is more of a progressive story however without the end to the chapter it is like you are waiting to exhale and never get to.

The companies look like they originate from the same place - they use the same shipper - My best guess is the AI prompts used with giftmybooks is different than booktailor. The customer support must be different ....

Summary of comparison of giftmybook vs. booktailor:

AI Generated Covers: very similar - great quality

Cost:
giftmybook: paperback with digital copy $69.00
booktailor: paperback with 2nd copy $59.00

Shipping: Same delivery and seems like the same company

Customer Support:
giftmybook: no response after 5 days and 2 emails - an apology and kind responses after about 10 days - and prompt responses following - issue resolved
booktailor: response within 24 hours - issue resolved

Well, were do I start? Had a little trouble at the beginning. Found out that they had a problem with the printing the book. Called them and Giftmybook got right on it. Gave me a refund, let me know when the book would be ready, and delivered it. (in fact printed two copies for me) My wife loved the book. Laughed out loud and was thrilled with it. A+ for Giftmybook.

This last-minute Christmas gift was the perfect gift for my wife. She has already started reading the novel, and her friends who were included in this book cannot wait to read it. I wish I had bought more copies. I immediately requested digital copies to share. Thank you, Gift My Book.

Great customer service and helped me when needed. The front and back covers were done with care and put a smile on my face. The book was done beautifully and much longer than expected. The story was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Nice cover and pretty fast delivery. However, so many mistakes are in the book I got for my mom. Unfinished sentences and one minute, my mom is talking about moving to a warmer climate and the next, me and my husband are talking about making Christmas ornaments and the rest of the chapter is about that! Never again.

The book was nice and delivered quickly. However, it’s inconsistent in the story and the information it had me provide wasn’t used correctly. The story is not that great either. Hopefully the person I got it for as a gift will not be offended and will enjoy it as a joke if nothing else.

The book had a cute front cover that you choose, I encourage you to leave as much info about your person as possible, I made that mistake, that was my fault, but still, very cute story, super fast shipping, will definitely remember this company in the future!

I have bought a book and can not track the order as it doesn't appear. i have tried to contact the company but the link on the website is dud and the social media pages are unresponsive.

I would recommend when you list characters (friends, family, pets) you say "dad Chris" or "his dog Bark" so that theres no weird connections to the characters (people, pets) in the book. I think the best thing was having the pre-views of the chapters before buying it, i was able to go back and edit my answers. The cover is amazing and having different generated options was ideal. Definitely better than i expected and so overwhelmingly happy with this book

Delivery was quick and I couldn't be more pleased! This book is perfect. I bought as a Christmas gift for my Mom and the stories fit her so well and are funny! She's going to LOVE IT!!

I received my book in a reasonable time frame although there was very little tracking info. However, there was a glitch, and the book was not giftable. I contacted Giftmybook and they refunded my money immediately and have sent a corrected copy. That's what I call excellent customer service! They are working on making their website more information inclusive. In the meantime I suggest the following info when requesting a book. Full name of character, families names and relationship, best friend, occupation, hobbies, any interesting anedotes. The more info you give, the more that can go into the book.

I have to admit I doubted this in the beginning, never thought AI would really make anyone laugh or appreciate it as a gift, but my wife loved the book I made for her. It took a little more than I expected to perfect the cover and fit what i wanted it to look, but it turned out great with an illustration based on her photo. Arrived fairly quickly, a day before the estimated delivery. Would highly recommend

I had a small question after ordering and the support team replied quickly and kindly, which gave me confidence they really care about their customers. Overall, it made a wonderful and memorable gift. Highly recommended.

The company was great to work with and responded right away to any questions. The book came and was so professional looking. The cover was perfect you could see who it was right away even in the cartoon illustration. I can’t wait to give it to my grandson for Christmas. I am definitely ordering more for the other grandkids as well.

I ordered a book from GiftMyBook for my friend’s birthday, and it turned out really nice. The story felt personal and thoughtful, and the design looked professional. The ordering process was clear, and shipping was faster than I expected.
There were a few small things I would tweak in the story, but overall it was such a creative and meaningful gift. My friend loved it, and I’ll probably order another one for a family member soon

Love the book much better than expected. I would highly recommend this to anybody.
