We’re so sorry to hear this. We completely understand how disappointing it must feel to spend so much time applying and removing your mani, especially when you were hoping for an easier at-home alternative 😓

While every nail journey is different, we know the process can feel time-consuming when you’re still getting familiar with a new system. Some customers can find their first few applications take a bit longer than expected, but with a little practice, it often becomes a much quicker and more enjoyable part of their routine.

Regarding removal, you should never feel like you have to force, scrape, or struggle to remove your manicure. Our Remove Solution is designed to work alongside gentle filing of the top layer and our Remove Bowl to help break down the product, with most removals taking around 15 minutes when the correct steps are followed.

We’d truly love the opportunity to understand what happened during your application and removal so we can provide some personalised guidance. Our mani specialists are always happy to walk you through the process, troubleshoot any challenges, and share tips that can make a big difference.

There can be a learning curve with the first couple of sets, but once the technique clicks, it becomes a skill you keep for life. Each set also works out to just a few dollars, helping save both time and money in the long run compared to frequent salon visits.

What you’ve described is actually something we do see from time to time with first applications. It can feel awkward at first, and a little messy. Because the system is designed to work in very thin layers, even a small amount of extra product can cause flooding around the cuticle and the lumpy texture you described. The reassuring part is that this is very fixable, and with a few tips and tricks, the whole process becomes much smoother and easier and super enjoyable!

Apologies as well for any confusion regarding the free gift; to keep things exciting and a surprise for everyone, details are sent separately to the email address used at checkout. Unfortunately, some inboxes automatically sort these emails into Promotions/Updates (or filter them entirely), so it can be really easy to miss even when it has been sent through. If you have a moment, a quick search of your inbox for “GLAMRDiP” should help it pop up.

We truly believe in what this system can offer, not just in terms of nails, but in the little moments it creates. We are genuinely sorry about the experience you had with our Birthday shades. I can completely understand why it may have felt disappointing, especially when you were looking at a whole page of beautiful colours you would have happily purchased, only to find that they weren't available to you just yet.

To give a bit of context, our Birthday Sale is a little different from our usual launches. Each year, we create a Facebook Event and give our community the opportunity to join ahead of the sale, where we share new products or shades, updates and early-access details. We also share invitations through our newsletter, Instagram, Facebook Pages and the All Things GLAMRDiP Facebook Group.

The early-access code is sent to customers who join the Event or are signed up to our newsletter, and the Birthday shades are held back for a short period before they become available for general access. But I completely appreciate that none of that is particularly helpful if you didn't know the Event existed in the first place.

Additionally, the Birthday shades sold out lightning fast. We seriously underestimated how much love they were going to receive. But here's the good news, our team immediately started working on a special batch of the Birthday shades. They should be available again for a limited time very soon!

We’re really pleased to hear that you’re enjoying how quick and convenient the system is, and that it’s lasting longer for you than regular nail polish, but we’re so sorry that the chipping and cracking have been getting in the way of you fully loving your sets 😓

What you mentioned about your nail and fingertip shape is really interesting, and we can absolutely understand how this might affect your wear. If your natural nails curve or point upward rather than following the more typical downward curve, they can sometimes experience a little more pressure at the free edge during everyday use. Depending on the thickness and structure of the set, that additional pressure or flex can potentially make the tips more prone to cracking or chipping.

That said, we definitely wouldn't expect your nails to be cracking after only a day or two. Over the years, our customers with all sorts of nail shapes, lengths, and lifestyles tell us they're consistently getting 3–4 weeks of wear, with many enjoying up to 5 weeks without issue. So while your natural nail shape may mean there are some specific techniques that work better for you, we really believe there may be a way to improve the durability of your sets.

Sometimes it can come down to creating a little more structure in the right areas, adjusting the number or placement of layers around the apex and free edge, or making sure the nail is fully reinforced without becoming unnecessarily thick. Occasionally, it can also be something small in the application process, or even a liquid issue, such as contamination, contributing to premature cracking.

We are genuinely sorry to see our experience has landed here 😓

I also want to sincerely apologise for the experience you've had trying to arrange your return. We have been dealing with a genuine and unexpected technical issue affecting our return-label generation system, including the QR code option you requested. While this has been an incredibly frustrating issue for us to work through internally, I completely appreciate that none of that makes the experience any less frustrating. You should never have been left feeling as though you had to chase us for a return or, worse, worry that you would have to fight for your refund. That simply isn't the experience we want anyone to have with us.

I've personally chased this up and flagged your case with our team, and I'm very happy to confirm that your full refund has now been successfully processed.

If this was your first time applying your set, there can unfortunately be a bit of a learning curve. One of the most common things we see is that the powder layers haven't been completely activated before filing/buffing, or that the Seal hasn't been applied quite generously enough. Your mani should feel completely hard before you move on to filing and Glow. A gentle tap should sound fairly hollow; if the nail still feels soft or sounds dull, it generally needs more Seal and a little more time to activate.

We have a wonderful Facebook community of more than 81,000 GLAMRDiP members, and thousands of customers regularly share their own salon-perfect sets, tips, troubleshooting advice and progress with their kits. If you ever do feel like giving GLAMRDiP another chance, our group can be a really lovely resource, especially for seeing how other beginners apply their sets and learning little tricks along the way.

We also recently introduced our Instant Gels™, which are a much simpler option if you're looking for something quick and straightforward. They can be applied in around 15 minutes or less, require no UV lamp, and last 2-3 weeks. They're designed to take a lot of the learning curve out of doing your own nails.
