We’re so happy to hear that, despite the little hiccups, you’re loving your Instant Gels™ and all those gorgeous colours. We completely understand wanting to collect them all! Choosing a favourite is honestly one of the hardest parts 😍

We’re really sorry, though, that you’ve been having a little trouble with durability. Your job actually gives us a really good clue as to what may be happening. Having to open products and repeatedly reach into boxes, pull things from shelves and put pressure on your fingertips throughout a shift can place quite a bit of force on the free edge of the Instant Gels™. Even when the bond between the natural nail and Instant Gel is strong, repeated pressure or leverage on the tip can eventually cause one to lift or pop off, particularly with the amount of hands-on work you’re doing every night 😅

About the length, our Almonds are designed to be a shorter style, but we completely understand that “short” can feel very different depending on your natural nail length, hand size and, of course, what you use your hands for every day. If you’re putting a lot of pressure on the tips at work, we can absolutely see why you might prefer something even shorter.

That’s genuinely helpful feedback for us, and we’ll be sure to pass it along to the team as we continue developing the range. We’re always looking at how we can make Instant Gels™ work beautifully for as many different lifestyles as possible.

We also love your suggestion about including another glue and wipe! We’re always listening when customers tell us what would make their experience easier, this is genuinely super helpful.

At the same time, we're really sorry to hear that you had to deal with sensitivities. Unfortunately, they can be super tricky. The human body is wonderfully individual and what feels completely fine for one person can unfortunately not work the same way for someone else. We know how disappointing it can be when something you’ve enjoyed becomes something you can't comfortably use.

And honestly, this is exactly why we worked so hard on Instant Gels™.
We wanted to create another way for people to enjoy beautiful, salon-perfect nails without exposure to products they may be sensitive to. Hearing that you’ve been able to make the switch and continue enjoying GLAMRDiP in a way that works better for you genuinely means so much to us. That was one of the biggest reasons behind developing Instant Gels™, and knowing they’ve opened that door for you makes all the years of work that went into them feel very worthwhile!

I'm also so sorry to hear about the trouble you had with the adhesive tabs initially. It does sound like you discovered one of the great things about them, because they’re removable and reusable, you can simply pop on a fresh tab if one decides to make a run for it. One thing that can make a difference is the fit of the tips. You want to choose a size that sits flush against your natural nail from sidewall to sidewall. This helps maximise the contact between the adhesive tab and your natural nail. We'd really love to help and support you through the troubleshooting rather than leave you to figure it out yourself x

As for the length, we completely understand that the coffin/ballerina shape isn’t everyone’s cup of tea when it comes to length. It’s one of those funny things about nails where even a few millimetres can make a huge difference to how they feel day-to-day.

Hi Carol,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with the Instant Gels™ We’re really glad to hear that once you found the method that worked for you, they stayed beautifully secure, although we’re sorry it gave you a tricky start.

There are a couple of factors can make a huge difference with the durability. The first is finding that perfect fit for each individual nail. Every natural nail is a little different, and even the tiniest difference in width or shape can affect how much contact the adhesive has with the nail underneath. Ideally, the Instant Gel should sit snugly from sidewall to sidewall without overlapping onto the skin. If it’s slightly too large, too small, or not sitting quite flush, it can create little gaps or movement that make it much harder for the adhesive to get a really secure hold.

The fact that the Base worked so well for you actually makes perfect sense, too! Like our nail adhesive, Base creates an adhesive bond between the Instant Gel and your natural nail, so it can provide that firmer, more secure hold you were looking for. The tabs are intentionally designed for a more flexible, temporary application, while the adhesive options are better suited to longer wear.

And please don’t give up on those remaining sizes just yet. Each Instant Gels™ set contains 32 gels across 16 different sizes, so there are quite a few combinations to work with. It’s very common to have some sizes left over after a set, and depending on your individual nail measurements, there may still be a way to use more of them than you think.

We’re absolutely thrilled you loved them and that they held up so incredibly well through a house move, unpacking, building furniture and everything else you threw at them 💜

At the same time, we’re genuinely sorry for the experience you had surrounding your order. We know there were several points where we could have communicated better, and we completely understand how disappointing that must have been, particularly as a longtime GLAMRDiP customer.

The good news is that the special production of the Birthday colours for customers who missed out is now complete, and instructions for accessing those shades will be going out within the next couple of days :)

We’re also genuinely sorry it took a while for your order to reach you. To be completely transparent, we’ve been super hard at work on our warehouse processes, packing checks, stock planning, shipping partnerships and, importantly, the way we communicate with customers when something doesn’t go according to plan. While we’re already seeing improvements, we know that what matters most is that you actually feel that difference when you place an order with us.

One of the things we’re most proud of about GLAMRDiP is that we’re a real team of people who genuinely care about every parcel that leaves our hands. We know how frustrating it can be when press-ons simply don’t come small enough, so hearing that the smaller sizes were perfect for you is something we’re absolutely delighted about 💜

We're a little disappointed to hear that the lengths have been a little tricky for you. When we developed the range, we actually had customers with shorter natural nails very much in mind. The Instant Gels™ are designed to sit over the natural nail rather than requiring you to grow your nails out first, we wanted to make sure there was enough coverage and length across the range for customers who prefer a little more extension. That said, we completely appreciate that what feels like the perfect length for one person can feel far too long for another.

About being able to see the edge of your natural nail underneath, depending on the length and shape of your natural nail, leaving a little of the natural nail underneath can sometimes mean it’s visible from certain angles. We certainly wouldn’t want you to feel like you have to cut your natural nails all the way back just to enjoy Instant Gels™, though!

We’ll absolutely take your feedback about having more flexibility with the length on board. The ability to customise the length while maintaining that beautiful pre-finished shape is something we know would give customers even more freedom, and feedback like yours is incredibly helpful as we continue developing the range.

Most importantly, we’re so pleased to hear that you found them easy to apply, that they’re staying beautifully secure, and that the sizing is working so well for your nail beds. Those are exactly the things we hoped Instant Gels™ would make easier!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. First and foremost, we’re incredibly sorry for everything you’ve experienced. Reading your review was genuinely heartbreaking because what should have been an exciting first order turned into one frustration after another, and that’s simply not the experience we ever want anyone to have with our small business 😓

We completely understand why you’re disappointed. Each issue on its own would have been frustrating, but having them happen one after another understandably left you feeling like you had to chase us just to get things sorted.

Regarding the £45 free gift, we completely understand why you expected to find £45 worth of products inside your parcel. While we have offered physical gifts with previous promotions, this particular gift was intentionally split between physical items in your parcel and a £25 gift code sent by email after delivery.

We send the code separately as a little surprise, giving you the opportunity to choose something you genuinely want rather than us selecting another product for you. You might already have a particular shade, need more of your favourite liquids, or want to try something completely new. We thought giving you that choice would make the gift more worthwhile.

We’re sorry that it didn’t come across that way and, without knowing there was still a gift waiting in your inbox, made you feel as though you hadn’t received what was promised.

Regarding the missing colour, I’m genuinely sorry. That was a packing mistake on our end and should have been caught before your order left us. You shouldn’t have had to identify it yourself.

I’m also particularly sorry about the return experience. There has been a genuine technical issue affecting our return-label generation system, including the QR-code option, but that’s our problem to solve, not yours. You shouldn’t have had to chase us for a label or wonder whether you’d need to organise and pay for the return yourself.

Looking back, your order was unfortunately affected by a combination of unexpected system issues and human mistakes.

Our latest sale was an incredibly busy period for our small team. Everyone was working incredibly hard to get orders out and look after our customers, but things that should have been caught simply weren’t, and unfortunately your order was one that slipped through the cracks.

That’s not an excuse, but we wanted to acknowledge it honestly.
