Monthly Payment
I'm on my third month with GM Financial. Paid my April car payment and they took it out twice, which now put bank account in the negative for over $400!!! Called to speak with customer service, and they would do anything about it.
I paid off my vehicle a year ago and…
I paid off my vehicle a year ago and still have not received the title. GM financial states I owe additional fees but cannot provide an itemized statements of the fees. I will be filing a complaint with the Attorney General.
I spoke to someone about a totalled car…
I spoke to someone about a totalled car and tried to set up arrangements to pay the balance they have 0 comparison for someone who is only trying to pay a debt I highly recommend finding another loan company.
GM Financial must hate their customers
GM Financial could not care any less about their customers. I was going through financial hardship and requested they remove the late payment from my credit report (after I paid it). They wouldn't even consider my request. They truly do not care about their customers and it's disgusting. I will never get another one of their vehicles.
I am attempting to purchase a vehicle…
I am attempting to purchase a vehicle through GM financial. My bank is automatically sent them a check out and they have cashed the checks. They changed their address and through the bank and their representatives I spoke with them about my attempts to pay, I was treated multiple times like I was fabricating the story, and now they are ruining my credit rating all because they will not cash checks they're being sent to them after cashing checks no problem before. This is really upsetting as I'm getting absolutely nowhere with customer service. They're calling multiple times a day and yet they will not cash the checks that are being sent to them almost like they are attempting to intentionally repossess the car.
No title received.
I had paid off my vehicle in July but cannot track ever receiving my title from GM Financial. Three calls and several visits to their website yielded no satisfaction. Customer servicers must hate their job, they were disinterested and were difficult to understand/hear. I now have to file a lien release and get a duplicate title, so much for a professional process.
This is the worst company I have ever…
This is the worst company I have ever dealt with ..We are paying 17.50 a day in interest wtf they suck DONT deal with these people
They will loose your title and have 0 remorse.
The most terrible, unorganized process ever. They lost my title. When I try to call, they give me the run-around and say that "the department that handles titles does not take customer phone calls." My car is currently impounded, and I can't get it out until I get my title. They told me they would fax it, and it took five days. Then, on the fifth day, they said they can't fax it and will have to mail it, and it will take 5-7 business days. A total unprofessional mess. Good luck getting decent customer service. Zero stars. The supervisor's name is Stephen and he is terrible as well. Context: I've been requesting my title for a year now.
Non Existant Customer Service.
I'm a military service member who has to move overseas, but GM won't assist me in a timely manner to provide documentation for me to take my vehicle with me. When I receive orders I have to move, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect customer support to facilitate this process. I have gone back and forth with the military department and it blows my mind how a simple document stating lienholder information cannot be produced. Once I leave I can't complete the process to ship this vehicle, but I still have to pay on it. This is unacceptable and should be illegal. This needs immediate response.
GM is the worst customer service I have…
GM is the worst customer service I have ever spoken to or attempted to work with. I will never buy GM products ever again because of this.
Paid for a warranty
Paid for a warranty, used the GM roadside assistance, but they couldn't deliver fuel to me, so I paid out of pocket. They told me I could get reimbursed if I sent in the receipt and explained what happened. I did everything I was supposed to, and they had the audacity to say that the receipt wasn't good enough? It had everything they needed, and they still denied me. Don't go through them. They will rip you off.
GM Financial Services is the worst…
GM Financial Services is the worst credit provider I've ever had. Their customer service agents are rude, aggressive, and disrespectful. The company lacks compassion and only cares about money. I recently lost my car in a fire accident and reached out to them to report it and let them know that I had filed an insurance claim and needed a break from payments to deal with the insurance and gap claims and the loss. However, the customer service agent was rude and inconsiderate, insisting that he didn't care about my loss and that I needed to continue making payments. They continued to report adversely to the credit bureaus. When my insurance company paid my claim, they did not credit my account nor notify me until I called three weeks later. The customer agent was rude, disregarded my concerns, and focused only on how I should make monthly payments, or they would continue reporting to the credit bureau and continue collection activities. I told them that I had a gap insurance claim pending and needed it resolved and the remaining balance paid, but they continue to report it adversely to the credit bureaus. Gap finally sent a check in my name on October 25, but as of December 3, they neither credited my account nor acknowledged receipt of the check until I called. They told me they did not receive the check. When my insurance company made a lump payment, it did not reduce my interest charges.

Mandeep rai is the best broker that i can say he is actually working for you he did everything in his power to help us bay a house in.i would suggest everybody to use gm finance ALL THANX TO MANDEEP
If i could give zero stars i would
If i could give zero stars i would. They offer no resolutions for people who run into financial issues. I have had my truck over a year paying on time and sometimes paying more than required. With the government shutdown i called because i am receiving no paycheck and they offered me no resolution and when they do allow an extension they charge 400 which is half the cost of the truck. I will never finance with them again i would rather deal with capital one.
I wouldn't recommend this company to do…use somebody else not GM financial
I wouldn't recommend this company to do business I paid my car off in 2021 and now I'm going through hell just to get a clear title
Zero stars !
Zero stars !
Worst experience I’ve ever had with GM financial in my life, now that I have thought about it. I would’ve bought a Mercedes-Benz.!
Horrible customer service extremely rude representative. How can somebody tell you your residual would change when you only have 7500 miles on a car you bought in December 2023. I only have 13 payments left.
This is what you get when you’re dealing with somebody that doesn’t care about you !
Totally unhelpful, completely dissatisfied !
No tickets, no accidents,
Trying to tell me the residual would change from the original amount that I had when I signed the paperwork. How is that possible?
Beyond dissatisfied !
They told me I owed $0 when I turned in…
They told me I owed $0 when I turned in my lease and I never missed a payment, I even has unused miles. Then they said I owed $500. I disagreed and they would not have a conversation with me about it or come to a compromise. They did not even offer to credit my unused miles toward that mysterious $500 end of lease fee. Then they reported to the credit bureaus that I had missed a lease payment because of this $500 fee which is fraudulent because it was not a lease payment. they called it a lease termination fee which is not part of my monthly payments. That is a violation of my rights under the CFRA and immediately makers their action illegal, erroneous and fraudulent. This happened like end of january early february
Worst loan company I’ve ever dealt…
Worst loan company I’ve ever dealt with.
I purchased a car on April 24 in Arizona and brought it into California on April 28. When I went to the DMV on May 13 to register it, I found out that GM Financial had not even initiated the title transfer. Apparently, they don’t automatically start this process when a loan is opened — you have to call and request it yourself. This is completely ridiculous, and unless you’re a dealership, you’d have no reason to know that.
After finally getting them to initiate it, they told me it would take 5–8 weeks just to mail the title, which is somehow “part of their process.” According to the tracking number, the title was finally delivered to the DMV on June 10 — nearly 7 weeks after I brought the car into California.
Despite me explicitly providing the correct address for my local DMV office, GM Financial ignored my instructions and sent the title to DMV headquarters, which does not process public transactions and does not forward documents to local offices. I later found out this happened because the address I initially gave was a PO Box (which FedEx can’t deliver to), and instead of calling to clarify or request a different address, they just made an assumption and sent it to the wrong place — which is what got us into this mess.
At my DMV appointment on June 17, I was told DMV headquarters was still opening mail from June 1, meaning my title is stuck in a backlog. Once they get to it, they’ll send it back to GM Financial, and per GM's customer service, that restarts the entire process — potentially another 5–8 week delay with no guarantee they’ll send it to the right location this time either.
Since then, I’ve called multiple times (5/13, 6/17, 6/19, 7/2, 7/23, and 7/29) and submitted relocation request forms twice — the second of which they claim never went through. I’ve received zero proactive communication — every piece of information I’ve gotten has been through my own hour-long calls. When I finally asked to speak to a supervisor on 7/29, I had to push just to get escalated. Only then was I told, for the first time, that they could request a duplicate title from Arizona, which apparently could take another 6–8 weeks just to receive — and an additional 6–8 weeks for GM to process on their end.
My vehicle legally needed to be registered by July 27, 2025 (90 days from April 28), and because of GM Financial’s continued negligence, I am now past that deadline and at risk of registration penalties, fines, and being unable to legally drive the car I’m actively making payments on. Any fees incurred as a result of this will be their responsibility.
Avoid GM Financial at all costs. Their customer service is careless, their process is broken, and they take zero accountability for the messes they create. Worst experience I've ever had with a loan company.
I have already sent a formal letter of intent to pursue legal action against GM Financial, and I will hold them fully liable for the financial and legal consequences of their repeated failures.
And to GM Financial: Don’t bother commenting asking me to reach out to your social media team — I’ve already done that, and nothing came of it. There is still no resolution. If you respond here with a generic comment asking me to contact you, it will be clear you didn’t even read this review and are just copying and pasting a standard reply — which perfectly sums up your customer service experience.
Just got off the phone for the third…
Just got off the phone for the third week in a row. Trying to refinance my car through my credit Union, been approved all I need is a copy of my title. Pablo told me the bank had to ask for it. So I went to my bank on speaker phone with my loan officer, Jole said he would fax it over in 48 hrs. A week later I call again Sharma tells me it was faxed over on July 21 even though my bank has not received it. She Iinformed me it would be another 2-3 days before the bank can get a fax for a copy of title that was supposedly already sent. Now I wait again for a few days. I don't recommend this company for anyone unless you are desperate. Run around Run around is what you will get. Next course of action is the Better Business Bureau
Lack of response
Lack of accountability for mistakes made on their behalf. Lack of response in a timely manor. Continuous drop calls. System seems to be built around Commodore 64 programming. And will ask the same questions 3-4 times on the same subject after explanations have been given. Customers are always wrong, not the company. WILL NEVER HAVE THEM AS A FINANCIAL INSTITUTION AGAIN.
