The company and the board are excellent. The company is\was very helpful. I just bought the deck\board and had to buy my own wheels, trucks and bearings. Even though I have to do this because on my own fault of order just the deck, the board rides excellent. The locking mechanism sometimes will not lock all the way and folds up when I put my foot on the back of the board but that's no problem since the board hasn't\will not fold up on me while I'm riding it. I love that it does folds up is the main reason I bought the board. It makes storing it very easy and it's not in the way in my classes at college and in my room. Light weight as well. Overall I love the board and recommend it to anyone. I've got a few, "I like your board" just under a 24 hour period.

My 12 year old son received his BoardUp longboard as a Christmas gift.
It quickly became his favorite item. He loves riding it and showing off its functionality. When an issue required company assistance, Bin at BoardUp was very helpful and promptly resolved it.

Fantastic board and amazing customer service.

Scouring the internet for a last-mile transport vehicle one night, I discovered this board and was immediately smitten. A long board that’s easy to carry and you can still do tricks on? Was I dreaming? I just had to try this... Would this actually work in real life as easily as the videos on the site showed? Reluctantly I pressed the buy button on their website, but all that worry was completely unfounded. Just received the board tonight and am completely floored. Everything works just as advertised, the board handling is superb, trucks and bearings are top-notch, and the customer service experience was fantastic.
Highly recommend this board to anyone who’s curious about long boarding and/or is looking for a fun and reliable last-mile mode of transportation.

I've been using this board for about 6 months at this point, primarily as transportation around university. I really love what BoardUp is trying to do, and for the most part, they've done a fantastic job.

For starters, the hinge. The first board I got cracked in about 2 months, due to a manufacturing defect. I contacted BoardUp and they shipped me a new board quickly and without extra charge, which was exceptional. In regards to customer service, I am greatly satisfied.

The board itself feels similar to any other board when riding. It flexes nicely, turns easily and the stock parts generally do a great job. However, I've learned to keep my feet closer to the wheels, since the hinge is bulky and tends to scrape the ground when going over bumps. Other than that, no real issues.

Folded, the board has a fantastic design. Everything is designed very intentionally in this form, and you can tell the more you use it. No complaints here.

The board's grip tape has started to peel slightly, and some of the wood has begun to expand slightly. This may be due to riding in the rain on occasion, which I understand is my own fault. Regardless, something to be aware of.

Ordered from the UK and received my board in about 4 days, outstanding! So far my experience with the board is excellent; carves nicely, rolls smoothly and the folding mechanism is great. Highly recommended to anyone who wants the ride of a longboard with the storage convenience of a penny board.

Excellent board. Rides smooth. Folds securely. Easy to fold and unfold the board.

For short distances you can comfortably hold the board by the handle in the middle when the board is folded in half, and keep your hands clean.

For longer distances I hook a shoulder strap around the handle, and tie a plastic bag around the board to separate the grip tape from my clothes. I wish the board was lighter.

The BoardUp has been nothing but an amazingly brilliant longboard. Plus the customer service is easily 5 stars in my eyes. Great longboard for a beginner like me. You can tell how much keen attention to detail was put into engineering this board together. Runs satisfyingly smooth when I'm cruising around on it.

This was a fantastic service. The board arrived very quickly. DHL the carriers were efficient with regards to both customs and delivery. My 13 year old grandson loves the board. I would recommend this item and the service I received. I had previously ordered from a different supplier who turned out to be most unhelpful when the item did not arrive.

When it arrived I had an issue with it not locking at first. I emailed the company and was floored at how quickly they had an answer with a video attached on how to adjust the knob to help it lock and it works perfectly! Thank you so much. My son loves the board and was so excited that we didn't have to wait or send it somewhere to fix.

This is my first longboard, and i honestly love it! It's my primary transport to and from work and college, when it's not raining, and i always enjoy every minute I'm on the board, and it stores away so easily so i can take it to class or into a shop without worrying about the size. It's pretty loose, so it's a bit hard to get used to for the first time riding, but it works extremely well for bumpy roads and i don't feel much. I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a first board or just one to have fun with.

I saw board up first in a video and my longboard had recently broken so I was looking for a new one. This one seemed really cool because I generally like pretty long longboards so they get in the way a lot. This solved that perfectly. Rides great, only takes a few tries to get the kick up down, and then it’s living easy from there on out. All around pretty great.

I've been using this board around Brooklyn for weeks, really putting it through its paces and this thing is holding up incredibly! Easier to carry around than my Penny and gives me way more confidence when riding. Beautiful design, all around well done!

Since mid-september, I'm using my BoardUp V3.1 as much as I can. I have particular busy weeks but all my week-ends are dedicated to long rides with my BoardUp around my hometown (Toulouse). Depending on weather conditions (I wish to avoid rain to maintain good conditions for the bearings), I can go almost everywhere downtown: sidewalks, open roads, specific dedicated tracks, parking lots. I have completely changed the bearings (classic redz) and also replaced the wheels with 69mm 82A (LED Bangerz). This way my Boardup has Californian deck and trucks, Swiss bearings and German Led Wheels (all white LED with Light Blue Wheels like the original ones...). I wish I could buy spare wheels like the one provided OOTB with the BoardUp (for long springtime and summertime days). LED Bangerz are perfect for Autumn and Wintertime.. I would like to propose an enhancement for the BoardUp V3.2 (or may be the BoardUp V4.0). Could it be possible to have the deck a bit stiffer? Even if I'm not so heavy w.r.t. to my height (1m79/70.47in) and weight (79kgs/174lbs) the current flex can be sometimes tricky to manage when it comes to certain sidewalk layouts. Also, a stiffer deck would allow more stability (as current BoardUp V3.1 is not a drop thru mount and this is perfect like that, especially for tricky sidewalks where you do not wish to leave the deck on the sidewalk...)... I would also like to add that outside of the flex of the deck, the Board is simply perfect. I'm now able to use the folding mechanism without any miss (it took me multiple times to get used but now I got it for granted). I have already totalled more than 200kms (around 130miles) - captured with my Polar V800 smartwatch; coupled with a solid Polar H10 HR Monitor, some rides are considered Extreme effort when pushing high and I can clearly see a positive benefit/outcome for practicing longboard with this deck's size (compared to classic/regular models including other categories with similar length i.e. cruisers...)... Since I am in this longboard experience with the BoardUp, I have stopped alternative sports (running, ...) and I am feeling very good at the end of each longboard run without any pain anywhere... that's a great feeling because it's like doing intense effort without paying back the price for fixing your body. In this case no need to fix anything... just pure enjoyment, leisure, freedom, fun without any negatives... I wish to receive a positive answer for the Ambassador Program because I love the board and I talk a lot to people around me about the awesome (not to say supreme) experience to be the owner of the BoardUp. This complete deck never leaves me and goes with me wherever I go... Again Kudos to the Design Team. Bin, this is an awesome achievement ! The board is not just a BoardUp; it's an "All-in-one longboard having it all"! I have dreamt about such a board but never really visualised how beautiful my dream board would be in reality... Thanks for letting me live this concrete experience in my own "physical world"; I simply hope this will last 4ever! ;)

Product support from Bin was immediate and very helpful.
I bought the V3 Lite for my son, he is just turning 11 years old and is new to skate boarding and never used a long board before.
He loves the board! He has had it for 5 days and every day he loves the board more than the previous day!
Using the board is easy for him, folding and unfolding the board is simple and never was complicated for him to learn.
This board shipped from China as the California warehouse did not have stock, processing and shipping took 10 days which was a lifetime for my son who again is just turning 11.
Overall I was very pleased with the service and support from Bin. UPS routing, customs and brokerage was sub-par at best.
As for the board itself. Awesome!
I am truly happy that this is the board my son chose. Buying online can bring on some doubts. We had them.
That was until my son started unpacking the board, he must have stopped three times to thank me before he had it completely unpacked. Every time he returns home from riding it he has a genuine appreciation for having this board.
