Appalling service initially, now resolved

My tenant has been attempting to get a Go Internet installation since August. She is unable to get an engineer to visit even though she calls 3 times a week to chase them. She is always given excuses why they don't turn up for example the engineer is sick. Twice she has taken the whole day off work to be there for their appointment and they don't turn up. It seems that they do not want the business. Perhaps Trevor would like to explain what the problem is and how they are going to solve it.

STILL WAITING FOR THIS TO BE RESOLVED

This issue has finally been resolved and we now have an acceptable speed.
There were complications due to the interrupted line of sight to the transmitter. Trevor came up with a solution that worked for my property and should help surrounding properties.
I hope this experience will improve the company's communication with customers.

Reasonable internet service provider

Reasonable internet service provider. Seems to be a bit patchy when streaming live TV, which takes away the excitement of a live sports event and adds a layer of frustration.

Service is reasonably priced in my…

Service is reasonably priced in my area. However, internet connection drops occasionally, which is very frustrating when I’m trying to work from home in the evenings.

Appalling service

Appalling service, switched off my connection due to an admin error, didn't inform me and now claim they can not restore it. Left my property without wifi claming they are unable to deal with it due to an issue with OpenReach, whilst this issue is genuine I am shocked and how hopeless they have been at escalating it and finding a solution. Comms present as approachable and friendly but in reality hopeless and unreliable.

We’re really sorry for the inconvenience caused by this situation — we completely understand how frustrating it must be to be without a connection.

It’s important to mention that due to the admin error, your account hadn’t been billed for the service for the past 11 months. While this was of course unintentional, it does mean you’ve been receiving broadband free of charge during that time.

Our team has already placed an order for a brand-new service, but as this requires Openreach to complete new fibre installation work, there can unfortunately be delays outside of our direct control. We’re continuing to chase this with them to get you back online as soon as possible.

Consistently poor speeds and now zero customer service

Rather than resolve my complaint, you chose to call me a liar and even claimed my review was “AI generated.” That is unprofessional and unacceptable.

English is not my first language and I use tools like Grammarly to support my daily communication — for you to mock that publicly is disgraceful.

The facts are clear: I never once received the advertised speeds on my “Full Fibre 900” package, I lost service during your outage with no reply to my emails, and your own email told me it is my responsibility to have backup broadband.

Original Review:

I’ve been with GoInternet since Nov 2024 on their “Full Fibre 900” package and not once have I achieved the advertised speeds. Download speeds consistently fall well below what I am paying for, despite repeated tests across different times and setups.

Most recently, my service went down completely early in the morning and I raised the issue immediately. I did not even receive a reply. I was forced to travel into London to work from my office because I couldn’t rely on the internet I’m paying for at home. Three days later and still waiting for a reply.

The lack of response is appalling. Not only has the service never lived up to the advertised speeds, but customer support appears non-existent. At this point, I am questioning why they are allowed to advertise premium speeds they cannot deliver, and why customers are left without any resolution or acknowledgement.

If you value reliability, transparency, or customer support, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere.

This is such an unfair review.

We have not had a single support ticket (email or phone) from you since you joined regarding the alleged slow speeds. The team would be very happy to test this service with you and if indeed the headline speed is not being met - this would be raised with our suppliers.

It should be noted that all your Speed Tests have been conducted over Wi-Fi. It is unreasonable to expect 900Mb/s over a Wi-Fi connection. I am certain, if you cabled into the device with a well resourced computer, with an ethernet cable you would receive the headline speed.

During the time you state you had no service, we were suffering from a network fault - which our engineers resolved as quickly as possible. Our service status page was updated during the course of the network event.

As I am sure you might imagine a lot of people wanted to talk to us during the network outage - which is why our helpdesk was very busy. For you to suggest that our customers support is non-existent is very disingenuous.

I note your Trustpilot account is new. It's very noble of you to take the time to sign up to Trustpilot just to trash our brand.

I will now respond to your AI Generated complaint email.

Great service

I had my GoInternet service installed recently and the whole process went without a hitch. The speeds have been consistently reliable, which makes a big difference day to day. Their customer service has also been excellent — whenever I’ve needed to get in touch, I’ve hardly had to queue and always felt well looked after. Really pleased with the service and would happily recommend them.

Delivery as promised and good support service

Very helpful and friendly also easy to get through. Equipment arrived in good time made more complicated because of house move. Relatively easy to set up help available if needed. So far fast speeds and good coverage over a 3 level house with multi streaming taking place.
