My first purchase from gold bank started very poorly with a lengthy "membership" joining process that really is intrusive.
This was followed by my two purchases being left in my cart and my purchases not been acknowledged on the website but a full pending payment logged to my bank account
My phone call the following morning to gold bank was unhelpful with me being told to " stop the payment " with my bank.
The following morning I made another call to gold bank to say the "payment for my items had gone through" and " what is happening" ? I was left on hold until I was asked to leave a message ten minutes later , which I did and wasn't phoned back .
On the evening I had emails confirming my purchase and royal mail tracking .
My 2 items arrived the following day in perfect condition , perfectly packaged.
I think this is an honest 2 star review , I would purchase again from gold back in the future as it would appear from their reviews i was just a bit unlucky

Best rate .. quick and easy trade

When trying to set a account up it would not let me because i am over 60 years old (they should change that so any age can make a account). Had to ring up for them to send me a e-mail alowing me to make a account. After doing the verification it would still not let me log in. Tried to ring customer service they did not understand my problem kept telling me to do the process when ive Just finished and rang them to tell them it wasnt letting me log in, I think the person on the phone was trying to take the easy way instead of understanding the situation. After everything and trying every possible way of logging in I finaly got to order what I wanted. Fast delivery lovely product. But the customer serivce and the system made it difficult.

I phoned in the first time as it says on their website “we don’t take card payments, call us or send an email if you’d like to place an order”. The colleague confirmed that they take orders over the phone. However, at this time I was just enquiring and not making an order yet. After a couple of days, when I was ready to make an order, I phoned in again. This time I was met with a rude and lazy colleague, who was not bothered to assist and told me that they don’t take orders over the phone and to send in an email if I wanted to place an order. I then sent an email about the unprofessional, rude behaviour I received and requested to make an order. Over a month has passed and no one has responded. This means that you cannot order via the website, via phone or even via email. I am not sure why the website and company still exist in that case. I would not recommend and definitely would not bother investing my money and doing business with such a company.

Bit confused. The company blurb on the website says it has been in business for over thirty years but Companies House states the company under whose name it trades i.e. GBL International Limited, was incorporated on 15th August 2023.
Is there another Goldbank perhaps or did it trade under another name?
