A quote is a quote

I had gotten a quote from confused.com that I thought was a fair price. I decided to purchase the insurance and followed all prompts to purchase. At the last prompt I filled in the information ,however,I kept getting an error message at the point of identifying myself.I was given a number and told to call to complete my transaction. So,I called the number and was told I will have to pay a fee for completing my purchase via telephone rather than the app. And from that point other charges were added to the price of the policy. Although the policy is a bit cheaper than my previous policy. I'd rather a quote to be honoured at the point of purchase. No to have other hidden fees added afterwards. I think all the additional fees should be reflected in the quote and that it there is a problem with your website accepting information to complete a purchase I shouldn't have to pay for it.
When the purchase was finalised the agent just hung up on me. She didn't verify anything. I hadn't to call back and wait for a return call. If I didn't need the insurance I would have no continued the purchase and I won't be referring it to any of my family, friends or large network of clients 😐

First time I used them and definitely…

First time I used them and definitely the last, I can’t stress enough not to use!had so many issues with them and the customer service was awful, never had a problem with any other insurers before but these were a nightmare throughout. Tried to take extra money off me aswell along with terrible customer seevice

2nd year with goskippy and my last

2nd year with goskippy and my last , changed a vehicle and was over charged for the pleasure , £172 extra for 6 months , if I was to insure the car it would be only £400 for a year.
Direct line never charged silly amounts for a change ...time to go back to them , thought I was saving money but I was wrong .

Worst experience ever from a car insurance company.

They made an error on THEIR side and are saying I owed them £66. This has been going on nearly a year, they haven't listened, they're useless.

Because I am looking to apply for a mortgage shortly I have just paid them the £66 because they are destroying my credit score. AVOID. This company needs closing down. Shame on you.

Amending policy

Able to amend my car insurance policy to add my partner on at a really reasonable price. I got a call back later on in the day as there was an issue during the first call, they had solved the issue and all was sorted in the end. Thank you!

Go Skippy or Premium Credit?

I have had a really concerning experience with Go Skippy. I bought car insurance with payments through Premium Credit. I got a letter from Go Skippy saying I had not paid and my insurance would be cancelled. My bank account shows that payments were made by me every month as agreed.
I contacted Go Skippy's credit department who looked into it as emailed back that all was fine, payments had gone through. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Then I get a letter, dated 2 weeks earlier, saying my account was unpaid and my car is now uninsured!
I can't work out who is at fault - Go Skippy or Premium Credit so I'd recommend avoiding both.
Now I urgently need new car insurance :(

Very cold

Very cold, cruel and nasty company. Ruthlessly chased me and threatened me over cancellation charges even though they new i was in a financial crisis. They could have shown abit of kindness and compassion and waved the charges

Terrible company

Terrible company. After an accident, they refused to offer any kind of assistance or support, stating they’d write off my car when the repairs were minor. In addition to this they stated that my voluntary excess was high and that I’d owe them more cash; my voluntary excess was £200 which was more than affordable at the time. Recently, I reached out to switch vehicles and they quoted £355 per month for a Ford Fiesta. Since I chose to cancel my premium due to it being too expensive, they charged an extortionate price that I cannot afford at this time for the cancellation. I will never use this company again

I do not recommend anyone to purchase insurance from GoSkippy

I purchased an insurance policy from Go Skippy. A week later my car is broke down and sold it. I cancelled my policy 20 days after the purchase. The first instalment was £190 which I paid when I purchase. After the cancellation they send me an invoice and asked additional £154. The cancellation fee on their website clearly states that £50 plus the days I used the policy which I used only for 20 days and I paid for the whole month. I called the customer support and they admit that the documents that I signed and the policy on their website is different but they refused to do anything about it. I am going report this company to trading standards and also financial conduct authority. I do not recommend anyone to buy insurance from this company.
