Gretel uses multiple data points to match users with records, helping us make our matches highly accurate. That said, our coverage is still growing as more providers join and share data with us, so not everyone will necessarily see a match straight away.

Life Changing
I can’t remember how I first came across Gretel, but I’m so glad I did!
My Dad passed away in May 2024 and, after hearing about Gretel, I signed up and added him as a third party. Gretel found a match with a pension provider that we had no idea existed. Long story short, we received a payout yesterday of over £58,000, meaning my siblings and I each received over £19,000.
Without Gretel, we would never have known about this pension pot, so I genuinely can’t recommend them highly enough.
Tom from Gretel Support was absolutely fantastic throughout the whole process; endlessly patient, kind, helpful, and always there to answer my questions and keep me updated - even when I thought the match amount was an April Fools joke!
I would urge anyone to sign up to Gretel and see whether they can find anything you might otherwise never know about - for yourself or for a departed loved one. It honestly sounds too good to be true, but it really isn’t. It costs nothing to sign up, and you never know what you might find — it could genuinely be life-changing.

So, not seeing your current workplace pension doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong—it may simply not be within the data currently available to Gretel.
We'll continue searching automatically in the background as our coverage grows and we'll let you know if any new matches are found in the future.

Some financial institutions choose to share their entire customer database with Gretel to help identify customers whose contact details may be out of date. While this helps reunite many people with forgotten or disconnected accounts, it can also result in a match where the policy is already known and up to date.

The system was very straight foward.
I have moved around quite a lot so papers miss placed and you always forget to inform a company. Plus with company take overs and name changes it is easy to get lost. This company helped me find a plan that had lost details of.

Easy to use service
After I entered the required information, I had a positive response within 24 hours. I was not bombarded by calls or emails unlike other pension finding companies.
The email I received contained contact details and other information that has resulted in finding a lost pension with a substantial amount which i would have never have known had I not used this service. Thank you

Good to be kept informed
Initially my results came back as negative. However some months later I was informed of a match. The policy information was correct and the insurance company said my letters had been returned. So at least I can sort this out and find out why my mail has been going astray. It's good to be kept informed.

Tracked Old Pension
I have been trying to trace an old serps pension for a long time without success and was referred to this site and within 10 minutes I received a positive result and my pension was found, I am over the moon as it’s worth a possible £10-15k, thank you so much 😊

I registered about a month ago just to see if anything would come up. I was pretty confident it wouldn't as I'd already used other services to find lost pensions.
Then I got an email telling me they'd found something.
