We had a mining risk assessment arranged at really short notice, our estate agent called them and they came out the next day. Craig was extremely polite, prompt and despite it being a Friday, and he had another visit after ours, he managed to get the report written and sent to us by the end of the day. We are ever so grateful for the extremely quick turnaround. I would highly recommend.

Groundsure were so efficient from start to finish. They responded quickly to my order for a mining risk assessment, attending the property the next day and providing the report the next working day. The standard report from Groundsure via my solicitor was very good, though all readily available online for free, planning, radon, etc., all it does is piece everything together nicely, so it's in one place and legible.

I paid extra for the extended planning report and that was a waste of money. If you need to find your nearest nightclub or cinema...Google it and save £48! All the planning info is just as you find it in the standard report. I'm writing this because I'm miffed I just wasted £48 purchasing that. I feel like I've double paid.

I didn't realise that I needed mining report to be able to complete buying my house. My Solicitor recommended groundsure. I called to enquire and was surprised when Carey said they could send Rowan out the same day! A few hours later and the survey was done, I had the report the next working day. Both Carey and Rowan were.a.oleasure to deal with. Highly reccomend. 5***** Service.

Extremely fast response and excellent communication throughout the process.

We have had a potential purchaser of our flat pull out due to a Groundsure report showing 'Action required' for contaminated land liability. Apparently there was a garage on site in 1983. These reports show zero local knowledge and clearly nobody actually visits the site. I know the area well which has loads of nice flats by the river. The flats in question have been up for well over 35 years. There has been zero problems with contaminated land and many many other properties bought and sold. The groundsure report has introduced doubt without any balance of practical local knowledge.

Used this company for a survey and found their service exceptional. Also answered my questions in a friendly professional manner.

Absolutely clueless. This outfit did an “Avista” report on a property that I own. They rated the flood risk as high despite their own analysis showing that the property is located in an area marked as “very low risk” and where there has been no flooding recorded for over 50 years.

It’s just desktop/ AI generated rubbish with no actual insight and isn’t worth the paper it is written on. Any conveyancing solicitor who uses this outfit is either stupid or on the take. It is literally worthless.

We have just received our report for a property we wish to purchase that is claimed to be high flood risk. The government website claims it is very low risk. I know the area. I grew up there and have not known it to flood ever.
We do not know how to proceed.

How can two reports be so different?

This company have just rated my mother house as high risk of flooding when the environment gov.uk rate it as medium. Both neighbours either side have sold in the last 2 years no problem. Going to loose the sale which is needed to pay for my mothers care. There's been no flood problem in the last 25 years.

Just to thank Carey at Groundsure and Geologist Rowan Hopkins and the team for doing an excellent job. They were exceptionally neat and tidy on site and left our premises as they found them. Thank you!

Mining Survey

After the trauma of being informed in order to sell our house a mining survey was required as no lender would process with a mortgage - we looked around for quotes. That's Cornwall!!
From the initial email very quickly Carey phoned and was informative and very helpful and a quick assessment of the property was carried out that day. The date was set and payment sent, After the buyer pulled out - we cancelled and the refund was processed promptly, then the next day we had another offer pending survey - so phoned Carey again who was so helpful and our original dates for the drilling were upheld. Which was more that we expected.
Having bought the house a year ago - with no issues raised. It was gutting to then be told that we had to pay for this survey - however Carey and the team were amazing. We were kept informed, Mess was kept to a minimum and drilling holes patched up. I cannot praise Groundsure enough for their good staff - communication, information and understanding.

On Tuesday we contacted Groundsure to organise a Mining Risk Assessment. Carey phoned back straightway and organised the visit for the afternoon of the following day. During the visit Giles and Rowan were friendly and professional explaining to us what they were looking for. We received the report the following morning which was less than 48 hours after our first contact. When I called Carey with a question she was most helpful and explained the answer clearly. I would definitely use this company again, very prompt and professional service - thank you.

Received report from our conveyancer for a property in Cornwall and Groundsure have noted it as a high flood risk and we are about to loose our mortgage offer.
When going on to the actual government environmental website and looking at our postcode we are in a low risk zone.
Even the mortgage lender said this is strange and they have seen the government status but with the official conveyancing repost saying high they cannot lend.

Awful service as they are not properly checking - avoid and advise conveyancers to avoid!!!!!!!
