I really appreciate the individualized specific instruction I was given during a group training session. Rocky pointed out specific things I could do to my stance and grip in order to improve my shooting accuracy. It was very helpful and effective!

I hadn’t met Rocky before my CCW qualification class, but he, along with Bill and Joe, did an amazing job teaching! We covered a lot of material in just one day. Rocky knows his stuff, and his teaching style made me feel at ease, so I wasn’t afraid to ask questions. He’s was always on the lookout while I was shooting and was always ready to give me helpful advice on my stance, grip, and sight picture. There was so much more to his class than I thought I’d get, and when I’m ready for more advanced training, I’ll definitely reach out to Rocky.

I recently completed my California CCW course. This was one of the clearest, most practical classes I’ve taken. The instructors broke the legal and practical material into simple, repeatable pieces that actually stick—safety rules, when you can and cannot use force, drawing from concealment, and what to do after an incident.
The “what if” section was the most useful part. They walked through realistic scenarios (parking lot, vehicle, home, public place) and gave a simple decision framework: avoid if you can, de-escalate if you can, only use deadly force when there is an immediate threat of death or great bodily injury, then what to do next (call 911, give limited information, ask for an attorney, do not make a statement on scene). They also covered prohibited places, transporting, and how to interact with law enforcement if you’re stopped while carrying.
Range time was well run, not rushed, and focused on safe handling plus the qualification. I left with a certificate and, more importantly, a mental checklist I can actually remember under stress. Highly recommend if you want more than a box-check class.

Took my CCW class with H2K Defense. The instructor Rocky gave great individual instruction for each student’s specific needs, he showed attention to safety which I appreciated, and he shared some real talk about CCW/self defense that was really valuable for a new CCW holder like me. The class was amazing. They provided the obvious value of instruction per the curriculum but what really stands out is their willingness to help each person, individually with their specific questions. They really took time to make sure I was safe, comfortable and improving my skills.

I highly recommend this CCW training course. The class was informative, practical, and engaging. The instructor clearly explained the logical steps to take if I ever have to use my firearm in a lawful self defense situation, which gave me greater confidence and a better understanding of the responsibility that comes with carrying. One of the biggest lessons I took away was that earning a CCW permit is only the beginning. Consistent training and regular practice are essential for building and maintaining the skills needed to respond safely and effectively.

Really happy with the defensive handgun course I took with Rocky and H2K. As a retired Navy SEAL, it can often be tough to “learn” much from most public classes, though you keep your ears and eyes open for new tidbits, generally the most we can hope for.

But Rocky and his cadre did an incredible job teaching to the student where they were at, not holding everyone back to train new folks, and not ignoring the new folks to apply advanced training to the more experienced. Great job balancing the training out to support both ends.

I personally have seen a degradation of my perishable pistol skills, and will be using his tips and techniques to dial back in to my top form, which was considerable. Need more range time, under good instruction, and that is what I’ve found with H2K. Two thumbs up.
