Love the sauna at St Ninian’s - a magical experience enjoying the cosy warmth and the contrast with the bracing cold of the Shetland sea. Highly recommended for groups and there are also community sessions where you can book a single slot.

First beach sauna experience!
This was my first experience of a beach sauna. I’ve always loved outdoor swimming, so it was amazing for me to be able to go for a quick dip knowing there was a sauna waiting for me. The spectacular scenery also made it feel like a dream. I went at 5pm and the evening sunlight was just stunning.
I wish there was one of these closer to where I live! I’d definitely do this again.

A simply beautiful experience
A simply beautiful experience in both sunshine and rain! Going from relaxing in the sauna to taking a dip in the brisk sea is absolutely invigorating. This is a unique experience here in Shetland which is a must for both tourists and locals - what better way to spend a day than on such a gorgeous location giving your body a bit of pampering? Staff here are also really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a visit!

Absolute dream
I absolutely love going to the sauna. Last night was my first experience at a aufguss ritual. It was a lovely experience very calming and such a beautiful view on st Ninians. I will be going back for another aufguss in the future. Lovely staff lovely set up just brilliant 😊

Love, love, love Haar Sauna. I’ve been a few times now and it never disappoints - whether the weather is beautiful and the sea is calm, or whether it’s cold and autumnal, the experience is always amazing!
The supervisors always give you a warm welcome, with helpful tips.

Love Haar sauna
Love Haar sauna, have been a few times for private sessions and yoga/sauna sessions. Tonight we went for an aufguss ritual which was such an amazing experience! Love the variety of different sessions put on as well as the option for private sessions, such a great location for it too 🌟

What a brilliant experience! Came across this sauna on a remote beach in Shetland. Booked online and had a wonderful hour with lovely welcoming local people. Such a great idea. We ran into the chilly sea to get the full effect. It was exhilarating. Thank you.
