This company owned by Stephen Bean are absolutely not to be trusted. Gave him money for materials that never arrived patio doors at a cost of £4300.00 being one item in particular added £1000 to that for a faster delivery time. Took £700 for building regs that he never organised.. Lied about material costs and refused to account to me when I questioned him about it.never ordered materials on time leaving builders with nothing to do. Went 4 weeks with no builders on site because they hadn’t been paid and had no materials. Builders van owned by him broke down and he wouldn’t pay for its repairs. So I advanced them £3000.00 for its repair and to give them some wages, which wasn’t my responsibility.
The van needless to say has disappeared without trace. I questioned him on it and he refused again to account for it. The quote he gave me was very competitive but as I’ve since found out, totally unachievable, it has cost me double to get things finished. In total he took 21k from me and after 16 weeks he left me with a wooden shell, no doors, no building regs. Not enough cladding or roofing, no flooring, no plasterboard no fixtures or fittings.
Quoted me 4-6 week completion date. Started in Feb, by June when terminated him for breach of contract the project was miles from being finished. He uses unreliable foreign labour who don’t speak any English and whose workmanship is pretty substandard, made no site visits at all. A thoroughly disgusting experience with a nasty little man. Be very very cautious
