I had an accident in North Myrtle Beach at Run to the Sun. A car ran into me and fled. When I reported the accident to Hagerty they paid for the damage within 5 Days and told me if we needed more money sent to finish repairs to let them know. Now that is great service.

I was hit by another driver in my '63 Chevy pickup. I haven't been in an accident in over 40 years. Some impatient driver hit me trying to pass me in the line to get gas. Hagerty was very efficient, filing and helping me with my claim. The associates I worked with were friendly and knowledgeable. I had switched to Hagerty from AAA. AAA just kept raising the prices and reducing my coverage. No way to reward a classic car driver with them over 40 years and no accidents. So I switched, and glad I did. I wasn't expecting to get in an accident but I'm glad I had Hagerty on my side.

I just spoke with Hazen, and it was honestly one of the most pleasant insurance calls I’ve ever had. He was genuine, professional, and incredibly easy to talk to. What really stood out to me was how naturally he connected on a car-lover, enthusiast level—not just as an agent doing his job.
This is actually the third agent I’ve spoken to at Hagerty, and every experience has been consistently impressive. The level of passion and understanding they bring to car enthusiasts truly sets them apart from any other insurance company I’ve dealt with in my life. This goes far beyond typical customer service.
At one point, I asked Hazen what his dream car was, and he said a 1971 Plymouth Barracuda—which honestly says everything about the kind of people they have on their team. You can tell he genuinely loves cars, and that makes a huge difference in how he connects with customers.
Hazen is a great asset to the company, and experiences like this are exactly why Hagerty stands out. Highly recommend.
After many phone calls, writing reviews, much anxiety and stress, I have regained confidence in Hagerty. I have a suggestion; Keep your clients informed about what's going on. This eases alot of tension. Thanks

I have 4 vehicles insured with Hagerty. I sold one and called to have it removed. There were 5 months remaining on this vehicle and they told me there would be no credit of refund. I pushed tp talk to a manger and got the same response. They say it was because of the multi car policy. Long story short I told her this is a black eye for Hagerty and I would not be renewing my policy. She seemed to not care. Farewell to Hagerty.
Wish I could give them a negative star I would I literally called roadside at 1 pm cst only to still be waiting on a tow truck at 10pm not only did they play for 9 hrs a truck was finally dispatched which if u inquire they tell you your classic will be towed with soft straps and a flatbed they sent a wrecker tow truck mind you this is a classic vehicle so my advice is to call a normal tow company and send the bill to Hagerty until they offer better roadside service
They notified me that I had a vehicle that was underinsured. I didn' realize it so I increased the value.
Last night my 1970 Dodge Challenger started misfiring for reasons still unknown so I was unable to get it home. I called the 800 number on my Insurance ID card, the agent verified me and transferred me to Roadside Assistance. That Agent set me up with a tow but could not find my Member number but set me up with a tow anyhow which I had to pay for, she just said I would have to contact Customer Service in the morning. I just got off the phone with Customer Service who stated my Membership was not renewed a few years ago, it appears I had changed my debit card because of fraudulent activity but I never received a notice it had cancelled. Anyway I ended up paying double what the cost would have been it I called for service myself. If I would have been told I was not a Member I would have never agreed to use their service and pay double. They could have made it right because of their lack of communication. I know it's not a large amount of money, it's just the point of it. I will be looking for a new Carrier.
Hagerty reached out recommending I upp coverage on my vehicle agreed value based on market trends. Definitely appreciated.
