Have a look at the TLW solicitor site. They have been gathering interest to take forward mis-selling since January. I live near Noth. It has been known for a long time that the project was failing, locally. It's a shame for investors.

If you were affected there is an article in the Daily Telegraph, online and in print. This was published 23rd April 2026 and written by Lora Jones. She’s asking for people to get in touch.

I lost significant amount of my capital investment since may 2020, since then only undelivered promises to recover ,but nothing happen and the company about to collapse due to hugedept and law cases.

Le dirigeant a fini par confirmer par écrit en février 2026 son incapacité totale à honorer ses dettes. Je suis également en train de porter l'affaire au Royaume-Uni auprès d'Action Fraud et de la FCA concernant la maison-mère britannique et ses comptes bancaires. Ne vous laissez pas séduire par leur marketing, la réalité est celle d'une insolvabilité organisée."

REVIEW UPDATE - Still no payments, 2 years overdue on final payment and yearly rentals overdue as per everyone else.

Please let your local MP know as I am coordinating this locally so it's brought up at Gov't level and onto the relevant criminal/civil authorities.

Please also ensure you register your complaint with the City of London police (fraud unit, see earlier post)

I concur with all other comments - a sophisticated scam and they need to be stopped.

Invested in a partial ownership, promised quarterly payments of which I am now owed a couple of years' worth, and I don't see when they will finalize their financing/ownership/sale struggles. Very disappointed, for years now they claim the same issues preventing them to move forward.

Everything was going well with my trades and I was close to reaching my goals when suddenly all my positions were closed without warning. I'd made good progress and tried to withdraw my earnings but the request was denied. I have contacted their support many times but there has been no response. I am happy with my progress on CENTURY and 100 they stay true to their words and process withdrawal promptly.

This is a scam! The site has been completely abandoned for years, without electricity or water. The French courts liquidated the hotel and restaurant for non-payment of taxes and wages and are conducting an international investigation into Halcyon to stop them, as they owe millions in taxes to investors. They're using lie after lie to try and buy time. The reality on the ground is that it's a ghost site. I've been there and I have very telling photos… not to mention the employees they abandoned penniless, with months of unpaid wages! Many investors are banding together against them; the positive reviews are all fake, you can be sure of that.

Do not invest with these scammers! Many people have already been scammed & they are still trying to lure others in! You can Google Château La Cazine to see articles showing that the French Court has ceased trading due to debts/bankruptcy! There are many false reviews (all dated around the same date) to try to up the credit rating! Hopefully, a class action will be brought against these crooks so they receive the karma they deserve!

I have been very patient during the years and have read the 'updates' with interest, hoping that things would be better, but now realize this must be a scam. Heather King used to send me updates, but now she 'signed off work - long term' according to a Jonathan Banks. I personnally don't even believe those names are real. Although my investment was relatively small, I feel scammed and will seek contact with other investors to join forces.

Like Nicola, I was contacted by one of the directors more than 1 month ago about my reviews on this site in order to remove my posts, however without compensation offered.

I "acquired" shares in a property under construction about 1,5 year ago, plus another share in February, after repeated sollicitations and promises of attractive returns (9%). After an initial "cashback" installment, the payments stopped. I was never paid on my second investment and haven't received any further payments on the first one. My emails were ignored.

I got assurance that the situation should improve soon because they were very close to conclude an agreement with a new finance company. Since then, no news anymore.

The unilateral decision of Halcyon not to distribute the sums promised by contract until the completion of the resort is inadmissible. We all signed this contract because returns were assured as from the beginning.

Do not invest in this company, it is an absolute scam, I have had lie after lie for over 13 years, and that's if they bother to respond. I have all email communication with them from Day 1, nothing but false promises. Six years ago they told me it would be ready that Autumn, still not built. You cannot sell it back to them until it has been built for 10 years, so even if they built it this year, it would be another 10 years before I could get my money back. Absolute scammers. Invest your money elsewhere. Do not waste your hard earned money on this scam.

We are now going to the Press including the Guardian, Times, Mirror, Citywire and International Adviser on this. We have had a number journalists meetings who are going to run articles. The FCA when they heard this are now finally also asking for further evidence. Also interested in joining a class action on this.

It’s a scam! No rental payments! Be aware!

Please be advised that this is fraudulent scheme. I invested in the Halcyon Retreat in 2020, specifically in one of their so-called "Tree Houses", and have not received any payments for over two years.
To those sharing reports of “great returns” and a “fantastic experience” — I too encountered no issues during the initial two quarters. However, communication ceased thereafter. Following a negative review I posted online in 2023, payments briefly resumed, only to stop again the following quarter.
I am open to being contacted should further details about my experience be helpful. However, I strongly caution any prospective investors or partners to avoid any involvement with this company.

I strongly advise anyone considering investing to be extremely cautious.
The company has repeatedly promised to make the outstanding payment by specific deadlines — yet not once have they met these commitments. Every time, I receive the same excuses about delays and “finalising financial arrangements,” but no actual results.

My previous review I have removed after they contacted me with assurances that I would receive my payment by 15 October. Unsurprisingly, that date has now passed, and I have not received a single cent. On top of that, Alan has completely stopped responding to my messages.

I have now engaged a lawyer to recover my full investment, as I have lost all trust in their promises. This experience has been extremely frustrating, and I hope this review will help others avoid the same situation. People can contact me - together we are stronger.
