Mixed experience - install was ok-ish, aftercare rubbish. The positives - Initial communication was good, they showed up when agreed, electricians very professional. The plumbers themselves were very friendly and were very willing to plan pipes etc according to my preferences. The negatives - They left a lot of mess to clean up including a drive full of nails and broke quite a few floor boards without replacing. Heat pump works fine but the new pipe work makes a huge racket (tapping noises) and some of the pipes were not insulated as per MCS guidance. Have raised these things with Paul numerous times but he has stopped responding, bizarrely suggesting the problem may be the floor boards that I had to fit at my own expense because they broke them. Neither him nor the plumbers have bothered to come and look/listen at the problem or come to replace some parts of radiators that have come loose. Am two hours away or so from their base, and the plumbers continually complained how far and inconvenient it was. Why take on jobs in my area if you can't be bothered to provide aftercare afterwards?

Efficient and good communication

We had a full range of energy efficiency upgrades installed in our 1930's uninsulated home, including room-in-roof insulation, cavity wall insulation, heat pump, water cylinder, and solar panels—and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience.

From start to finish, Paul and the rest of his team demonstrated high standards of professionalism, clear communication, and excellent attention to detail. The installation process was smooth and well-organised, with the team arriving on time, working efficiently, and keeping everything clean and tidy throughout.

What really stood out was how seamlessly everything came together. Each element of the system was installed without any issues, and it’s clear that the engineers knew exactly what they were doing. Since completion, everything has been working perfectly. The heat pump is super efficient, the insulation has made an enormous difference to our comfort and the solar panels are already helping to reduce energy costs.

It’s rare to have such a hassle-free experience with home improvements of this scale, but this company delivered exactly that. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone considering similar upgrades.

We had a complex job for Hamilton Developments.
4 converted flats in a stone built 19th century warehouse needed to be brought up from EPC E to at least a C and were eligible for ECO4 funding.
Without the help of Hamilton Developments I do not think this could have been achieved to such a high standard.
The flats now have an EPC rating of A.
The disruption to the tenants was minimal and the internal insulation was done within a week for each flat. The time delay for our tenants was waiting for plaster to dry before repainting and this was not Hamilton developments fault!
We did come across problems as this job was not straightforward but all our concerns were dealt with.
The insulation has been in place for a long wet winter now. There is no sign of mould, they do know what they are doing...which, considering the bad workmanship that is getting into the news...was a serious concern of mine.
The solar panel system is running fantastically.
The ventilation is doing its job.
The heating is keeping our tenants warm.
The "paperwork" and guarantees are comprehensive.

We used Hamilton Developments (Wales) Ltd to administer the installation of solar panels, air source pump and insulation under an ECO4 grant application.

We were recommended Hamilton Developments by a neighbour who had used them for thier ECO4 grant and they gave them a glowing review.

All the contractors contracted by Hamiltons to install our set up were , professional, efficient, clean workers, helpful and friendly. The installation was completed relatively quickly considering the scope of the works required.

Paul and Steve from Hamilton kept us informed, of the progress of the application prior to work commencing, of the details of time frames and installation during works and their after care is certainly second to none.

The installation itself is of a high specification and very professional done.
