Hamlet Laundry damaged my belongings and refused to repair them unless I paid more. They also charged me for two items when I only gave them one. This was a breach of UK consumer laws. After taking them to court, I was awarded a judgment in my favour.

I recently used Hamlet Laundry and overall, it was a good experience. Their service is professional and convenient, with an easy booking system and timely pick-ups. There was a slight delay in delivery, but they communicated the reason well. Despite minor hiccups, my items came back clean and fresh. Would recommend giving them a try!

If there was a zero star, that’s what I would allocate to this company. I sent a pair of expensive custom made curtains for the French doors (so they were tall and wide) to be dry-cleaned. The booking and pickup service was prompt. However, they first delayed the delivery and I had to chase it a few times. Secondly and in utter horror, once it came and when we hung the curtains they were COMPLETELY ruined. It was evident that they washed instead of dry-cleaned so the lining was longer than the front of the curtain and they were all crushed and torn on one side. I contacted them and they offered £70 of the £90 that I had paid for the service. No acceptance that they ruined the curtains even through I sent multiple photos. They agreed to come and take it back to ‘fix’ it and that was another hopeless exercise as it probably made it worse. I asked for compensation to replace the curtains (after given quotes of £1,500 from the curtain shop) and was told if I didn’t accept their £70, I could go to citizens advice. I did and sent 3 recorded letters guided by Citizens Advice and they replied to none!! I was advised to take them to the small courts but honestly, I don’t have the energy for this as shortly after this incident, my sister had a fall in Canada and we nearly lost her so I’ve been helping with her care and somehow this scumbag of a company doesn’t seem to matter now. I’m not one for writing negative reviews and as you can see, this incident happened in Sep 2023 (trustpilot wouldn’t allow me to post more than 12 months) but I’ve not been done this lightly. But if I can help you avoid not experiencing what I’ve gone through, don’t use their dry cleaning services for delicate or custom made things, they don’t know the difference between washing and dry cleaning and take NO responsibility for their mistakes!! As a pensioner, I set myself up with some nice things while I was working to enjoy them my later years and they have no regard for this or the impact of their very cold customer service. To have ignored all of the letters was a total disregard of the law in this country and an example of being above the law! If there was a place here to upload photos, I would gladly share their shoddy work.

I am using the first (and last time) this service.
My machine has broke down so I had to use alternate solutions for the time being but I am absolutely disappointed based on the service.

You can book time sloth for collection and delivery, however it doesn’t mean anything.
Today supposed to deliver back my goods between 1-3pm and as of 5pm still nowhere. Saying busier than usual so delayed. Thinking I have whole day to sit home. Why can I book a slot if it’s being ignored? I had to stay home from work and wait for you to come, with this loosing a day worth of Wages!!! Who is gonna pay for my work today that I missed!???????
Absolutely ridiculous, never ever again. If you value your time, do not waste your money and time on them. Unacceptable.

If there was a possibility to give zero stars, then Hamlet Laundry would receive this rating. I used them twice in April and March 2024; the first time, they brought my 3 shirts back with stains which I could only guess was caused by a dirty iron. The second time, they destroyed the buttons on my pure cashmere jumper. The service was terrible and to top it off, I found their customer service to be unprofessional and unresponsive - totally disappointing. The one positive thing to come out of this is that after I used them, I found another firm who are the complete opposite of Hamlet.

I recently used Hamlet Laundry's dry cleaning service for the first time, and I am thoroughly impressed with the results. The service was perfect, and my office suits came back looking immaculate. Based on this positive experience, I am now confident that I will always use Hamlet Laundry for my office suit dry cleaning needs. Highly recommended!

Be warned, major shrinkage.

I recently tried Hamlet Laundry for the first time based on some positive reviews. However, I faced significant issues when I noticed that my white socks still had brown stains and, more critically, my expensive boxers and shorts had shrunk considerably. This not only caused discomfort but also resulted in a substantial financial loss, as I now need to replace these essential items.

Upon reaching out to their customer service, I received a prompt and courteous response. They acknowledged the issues and offered a 15% discount on my next order or a 20% weekend discount code. While I appreciate their quick acknowledgment and efforts to resolve the situation, the discounts offered do not compensate for the hundreds of pounds I am out due to the damage to my clothes. A truly caring response would involve meeting me halfway in covering these financial losses.

While Hamlet Laundry demonstrates good customer service responsiveness, potential customers should be cautious of possible significant financial losses. I hope the company will implement further improvements to their service quality to prevent such incidents in the future and consider more fair compensation methods when errors occur.

I'm fully satisfied with their services .they're very kind and polite and the service was well & top-notch. they collect and deliver order in time most of the time, although sometimes it's been delay just because of traffic but they try to fulfill their order in time as much as possible. and I took their dry wash and separate wash and iron service last week, it was like that I want.
