We moved into Castle Gardens at the end of June 2026 and overall, we’ve been really impressed with both the quality of the house and the customer service.

Natalie was fantastic from reservation right through to moving in, keeping us informed and providing regular updates, which made the whole process much less stressful.

As you’d expect with any new build, we did have a number of snags to deal with, but over three quarters have already been resolved, largely thanks to Marcin who has been proactive addressing issues. We are confident the remaining few will be sorted soon.

Having lived in a couple of new-build homes, we have something to compare with, and genuinely feel that the overall quality and finish of our Harron home is better than some of the other builders we’ve experienced.

What has really stood out, though, is the customer service. Communication was excellent throughout and issues are listened to, followed up and actually dealt with. We’re very happy with our new home so far and would definitely recommend Harron Homes based on our experience. A particular thank you to Natalie and Marcin for making the process and aftercare such a positive experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Excellent experience with Harron Homes – Victoria Heights, Fixby

We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Harron Homes at Victoria Heights, Fixby. From the very beginning, the whole process has been far better than we expected, and the quality of the finished home has genuinely impressed us.

A special mention has to go to Jackie, the Sales Manager, who has been absolutely fantastic throughout. She has gone above and beyond on numerous occasions, always being approachable, helpful and willing to sort things out. Nothing ever seemed like too much trouble, and she consistently exceeded our expectations. It’s very clear that she genuinely cares about the customer experience rather than simply getting the sale completed.

We also have to give a huge amount of credit to James, the Site Manager. He has been brilliant from start to finish and has taken real pride in the quality of the homes being delivered. He has been extremely helpful, responsive and professional, and again went well beyond what we expected from a site manager. Any questions or issues we raised were dealt with properly and promptly.

The snagging process has also been excellent. Rather than feeling like we were left to discover problems ourselves after moving in, the team were proactive in identifying and addressing things, and James made sure that the snags were followed up and completed properly. That level of attention to detail really makes a difference when you're buying a new-build home.

Most importantly, we are genuinely impressed with the quality of the Harron Homes build. The house feels solid, well finished and thoughtfully designed, and the standard of workmanship has been much better than some of the negative stereotypes you often hear about new-build homes. There are always going to be a few minor things with any new property, but what matters is how they are dealt with — and Harron have been excellent in that respect.

The development itself at Victoria Heights is also a great place to live, and the overall experience has been extremely positive.

Buying a new home is a huge investment and can understandably be a stressful experience, but Jackie and James made the process considerably easier and more enjoyable for us. Their attitude, professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile really stood out.

A massive thank you to Jackie, James and the wider Harron Homes team at Victoria Heights. They genuinely went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Harron Homes based on our experience.

Really happy with our experience buying our first home through Harron Homes. Out of everywhere we viewed in the area, Harron offered the biggest and most spacious new-build properties, and by far the best value.

Nat, our saleswoman, was fantastic throughout. She made it really clear what was required from us at every stage, which was invaluable as first-time buyers, and kept in great communication the whole way through – it genuinely put us at ease. Rowan, the site manager, went above and beyond, and all the workers on site were friendly, helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

The exchange and moving process was easy and completely hassle-free. On moving day, the team made a huge effort with gifts and little touches to make it a special moment for us as a couple buying our first home together.

We have just bought our new house from Harron Homes , from start to finish everything thing has been great , Me and my wife would like to say a massive thank you to Mark stones from the sales team who has looked after us from the start until we finally got over the line , he was fantastic in keeping us updated and sorting out any issues we had over our moving experience, he made us feel more at ease with the whole process and was always on the other end of the phone whenever we needed him .

Absolutely appalling after-sales service from Harron Homes (The Brambles).

I contacted them with a straightforward and reasonable request for some temporary tarmac to bridge the significant height difference between my driveway and the raised kerb. Accessing my own property has become increasingly difficult, and the underside of one of our cars has occasionally scraped as a result.

Despite clearly explaining the risk of damage to our vehicles, I have spent more than six weeks repeatedly chasing Harron Homes. I received a succession of vague responses saying the matter had been forwarded, the site team was looking into it, they were waiting for the groundworkers, no tarmac was available, materials needed to be ordered and approval was required. Nobody provided a meaningful timescale or proactively updated me.

Most tellingly, as soon as I said I was considering sharing my experience on social media and Trustpilot, I was told that the Contract Manager had arranged a temporary solution and that the groundworkers would attend later that same day.

Nobody attended, the promised work was not completed and the problem remains entirely unresolved.

It is disgraceful that a customer should have to threaten public criticism simply to get a response, only for Harron Homes then to make a promise that they fail to keep. Meanwhile, we must continue risking damage to our vehicles every time we enter or leave our own property.

This experience has left me with absolutely no confidence in Harron Homes’ customer service or aftercare. Once they have sold you the property, getting them to take ownership of even a basic but potentially damaging issue appears to require endless chasing—and even then, their assurances cannot be relied upon.

Our experience with Harron Homes has been extremely disappointing from start to finish.

* Our kitchen work surface is delaminating around the front edge, yet we have been told this is the final decision on the matter and nothing further will be done.
* We were told by the site manager (and have the email to prove it) that the drains on our development would be cleaned once the site was completed. Harron Homes have now gone back on that commitment and are refusing to carry out the work.
* The tarmac on the private road where we live has been breaking up since we had been in the property for less than a year. Despite reporting it early, we are now being told it is simply “wear and tear” after two years and they will not take any responsibility.

To make matters worse, communication has been consistently poor. Almost every email informs us that our previous contact has left and our case has been passed to someone new, forcing us to repeatedly explain the same issues and causing unnecessary delays. Genuine concerns are dismissed, promises are not honoured, and once contracts are exchanged and they have your money, customer service appears to become an afterthought.

Based on our experience, I would not recommend Harron Homes. If you’re investing hundreds of thousands of pounds in a new home, you should expect far better build quality, aftercare, and customer service than we have received.

Buying with Harron Homes has been an amazing experience from start to finish!
We first visited the Low Riddings development in January just to have a look around. At the time, both my partner and I still had homes to sell, but we instantly fell in love with the area and one particular house style.
Sylvia Weijers has been an absolute superstar throughout the entire process. She has been incredibly helpful, professional, and supportive from day one. Her customer service is second to none. She kept in regular contact while my property was being part exchanged and my partner’s home was being sold, always keeping us updated and going above and beyond—even on moving day.
We couldn’t be happier with our forever home, and the service we’ve received from Sylvia, the site managers, and everyone at Harron Homes has been outstanding.

I have been living on the Hawthornes estate for a couple of years now. While it's still very much an active building site, I have to say the roads have improved significantly over the last 12 months, and overall the house is great.

My biggest issue, however, is the excessive noise from the builders and scaffolders. They regularly play music at such a high volume that it's impossible to concentrate, and I often have to move rooms just to be able to hear myself think. If you're planning to work from home, this is something to seriously consider, as the noise can make it very difficult.

I raised the issue with Harron Homes, but unfortunately nothing was done to address it. I appreciate that construction work is part of living on a new-build estate, but there is no need for music to be played at a volume that disturbs residents throughout the day.

From our initial appointment to look at the show homes back in May we knew we were in good hands with Charlotte at Shipley lakeside, her knowledge of the development and the house styles was impressive and her customer service was even better.

From the moment we stepped into the show homes for the first time, we could see ourselves living there. We had seen a few plots available online in the Settle house type and was very interested in reserving as we had always wanted to live in the area. Charlotte took the time to walk us around the development and show us existing Settle plots as well as putting us in touch with the closest development with that house type as their show home so we could go and see our potential future home in real life. We went to view the Settle show home later the same day and immediately fell in love.

A week later, after getting our decision in principle through their recommended mortgage advisors which was so easy and quick, we reserved our plot. We had opted to part exchange our current house, as the option to stay in our old house until our new house was ready to move in to was a major benefit for us. Fast forward to this weekend and we have now exchanged contracts and finalised our colour choices and options ahead of our expected completion date of the end of November.

The whole process so far has been seamless and we are beyond excited to move in to our new house, the weekly updates we receive from Charlotte are a lovely personalised touch that we really appreciate. We have been impressed with the selection of colour choices and options available. We were initially dubious about using their recommended solicitors (which was a requirement of the part exchange) as we had negative reviews from others in similar situations but Fidler and pepper have been so easy to work with and being able to view and sign the majority of the forms via their app has made it so much easier for us. We cannot thank Charlotte enough for taking the stress out of the situation and making the experience so far so enjoyable.

From the moment I heard her voice on the telephone to now beginning to choose our extras for our new home, I knew we would purchase our forever home with Ann.
Ann has provided exceptional customer service throughout. Working hard to get us the perfect home, in the perfect plot, within our timelines, working quickly and going out of her way for us.

We have used the part exchange scheme with Harron which is going very smoothly and quickly so far and Ann’s recommended mortgage advisor and solicitors have also been excellent.

We have already visited the plot and met the site builder Dan, we get weekly updates, photos, support and advice. Looking forward to continuing on this journey with Harron, Ann and Dan creating our dream home.

We initially gave Harron Homes the benefit of the doubt because we were genuinely happy when we first moved into our home. The location at Shipley Lakeside is beautiful, and we were excited to start this new chapter.
Unfortunately, five months on, it's become clear that the standard of workmanship is extremely poor.
The biggest issue is our private road. It started crumbling within just 10 weeks of being laid and, four months later, it has deteriorated even further. The surface is breaking up, becoming loose and stony, which is completely unacceptable for a brand-new development. Harron Homes have advised residents that this is simply "wear and tear" and that, because the road is private, it will be down to the residents to pay for repairs. If this is the standard they build roads to, it raises serious concerns about what we can expect from the houses themselves in the years to come.
We're also still waiting for snags to be resolved five months after moving in, despite repeatedly chasing them. Our LVP flooring has already required several repairs and is now lifting again, suggesting the underlying issue has never been properly addressed.
It's incredibly disappointing. We loved the location and had high hopes when we moved in, but the ongoing quality issues and lack of accountability have completely changed our opinion. Based on our experience, the build quality and aftercare have fallen well below the standard we expected from a new-build home.
