* $1,200 Incubator Failed—Company Refused to Stand Behind It
Purchased a Hatching Time CT180 for $1,200 and it arrived damaged. I reported the damage immediately and was told it was “cosmetic.” The incubator is supposed to use about one gallon of water per month, but mine leaks water daily through the front door seal, damaging my furniture and floor.
Customer support insists it’s “condensation,” even after I provided videos showing the mechanical failure. The unit was set to 40% humidity, had already reached 45%, yet it continued adding water unnecessarily. Instead of replacing or repairing the unit, they wanted me to disassemble electrical components myself.
For a $1,200 incubator, I expected quality and customer support. I received neither. My experience has been poor from start to finish, and I cannot recommend Hatching Time based on the product quality or how they handled a legitimate warranty issue. Buyers should be aware before spending this kind of money.
