waiting for weeks for my order to be shipped.

ive been waiting for my order to be shipped for almost 3 weeks now. they claim to have been having warehouse issues, all the issues i purchased were in stock.

christian who has been replying to my emails is extremely condisending.
i want my order, and to support the magazine but they are only interested in taking your money.

A lot of negative reviews here, seems to be of the "old" Heavy Metal. The magazine went through a major relaunch early 2025 after being effectively defunkt. Having purchased the first two copies of the "new" magazine (vol. 1 and 2) Im very impressed. Shipping here to Denmark was not a problem at all, and the magazine quickly answered an Email I sent, about the shipping. As for content. I've read the magazine on and off since the late 80's up to about 2020.. The new launch have gone back to its roots. Well over 200 pages of wild, adult SciFi/Fantasy and horror stories. Artwork, articles etc. I really, really love this return to form from Heavy Metal. Highly recommend.

Order fullfilled in half

Quite simply, I just got half of my order. Of course I payed the full order in advance. I've sent a few emails wondering about the missing items and never got an answer.

Fantastic product

Fantastic product , was told about this by a friend who gave me a couple to try, I was amazed how well I slept no achy joints waking me up every hour, ordered my own from the very helpful reliable & friendly company wish I had know about this product years ago

Difficult to get customer service but new CEO seems to be fixing things

Second order with this company, ordering from Luxembourg so not especially happy with the 6 week delivery time but willing to accept it. What I'm not willing to accept is the complete lack of ability to contact the company, and the fact that 6 issues that I've ordered and paid for were not actually included in the order. I have no means of redress as they just flat out don't answer emails, there's no phone number on their website, can't figure out where the office is based, stumped. Additionally, these are not new magazines. I ordered a total of 66 back issues, of which only two were in original wrapping and all the rest were in various states of wear.

EDIT: I've received a response upon contacting the CEO directly (his email is posted on the company's socials) and he's now assisting me with the issue with my order.

Still waiting for my magazine months after ordering

I ordered four magazines on the 18th of May. I receive 3 magazines on the 16th of June, but I am still waiting to receive the magazine I actually wanted to have (Heavy Metal Magazine Issue 314B, not available in Europe). I have sent three emails, but no reply. The order is labelled as "Preparing for shipping. We are currently preparing these items for shipping". I spent a lot of money for shipping, I don't understand why the magazines weren't sent together. I hope this gets resolved.

Unfulfilled order

During the covid time I ordered over $200 of back issue including new issues. Got my backorder issues from Dallas but the new issues from California never arrived 4 issues 300, 301, 302 and 304 got an email the printer was down. Then got an email with a tracking number waited shipment never sent. Sent numerous emails no response. Unfortunately I ordered During this time to help during this bad period. Never again.

Paid a 1-year subsciption about 2 year…

Paid a 1-year subsciption about 2 year ago, but never recieved any of the prepaid 6 issues (it was 6 a year at that time). Most frustrating is that there is no communication possible with their customer service, many mail remains unanswered. In 2 years I just got 1 false promise as a reaction on many many mail. Even a written letter to the PO Box had no response. Last mail sent to them was from december 2022; no answer.

Don't buy from this company

Don't buy from this company. I placed an order well over two months ago. When I received my order ALL of the magazines were damaged. Also, I didn't receieve my full order. I've sent multiple emails and I haven't had any response. I've tried all of the contact numbers and none of them work. What kind of customer support is this? Unbelievable!

They will just take your money

Ordered and paid for a comic book months ago but never received it, even after sending them multiple emails. Do not order anything from this business. There is no customer support.

Paid $180 for renewal over a year ago…

Paid $180 for renewal for 3 years over a year ago. I only received the magazines left on on my old subscription. Then nothing! No one acknowledges email any more...
I asked for my money back, but no answer. How can a company get away with this??

Don't let them waste your time like they did mine

I got a subscription of suneater 2 years ago and have emailed and used their chat to no response. I have never seen a company so blatantly neglect it's customers. It's truly disgusting that I even have to continue to reach out to them trying to get my refund because out of 9 issues I got 2 and one was damaged. They said they would replace it and that was a year and a half ago. They have since ghosted me. I am currently try to build a case against them to take to court. Hey but they have NFTs now... Not to mention they have been blocking people on social media instead of trying to fix the problems they have created. This company is a joke. Save yourselves the stress of dealing with them. This company died years ago.

Renewed a 3 year subscription which…

Renewed a 3 year subscription which cost 360.00$ , delivery was months behind , I recieved issues 305, 306, and 307 at the same time. Then nothing. It’s now at issue 314 , sent multiple e mails with no response. Now they are selling NFTs which is appropriate since thier products are a fantasy now. Save your money it’s a rip off .

Unreliable is an understatement

Unreliable is an understatement. Customer service is nonexistent. The new management is either milking everything they can from the iconic magazine before killing it or are so devastatingly incompetent the publication will one way or the other, fail. Matt Medney leadership is incompetent and clearly, he needs to be replaced if the publication is to survive. Matt will need to be a writer or a CEO he cannot be both. It seems two things in life are absolute, nobody lives forever, and Matt Medney's Heavy Metal magazine will rip you off.

My wife took out a subscription for…

My wife took out a subscription for Suneater. Got one issue and heard nothing beyond that. They won't respond ot calls, emails or social media. They just took her £100 and waltzed off with it. Utter scum.
