Simply amazing staff and precise expertise when it came to my auction purchase. My solicitor Alexandra Jenkins managed to complete my purchase in 2 weeks! Can't recommend them enough. Will be using again and again!!

Is anyone dealing with this sale?
The memorandum of sale was sent on the 10th September 2025.
To date our solicitor has sent many, many emails yet she has not received any enquiries or agreed the contract with the buyers solicitor.
She has received emails from NFl from 5th November awaiting director sign off before enquiries can be raised. How long does this take…?
We are now 2nd December and still nothing has been received and this is completely ridiculous.
Is there anyone actually anyone from Hek Jones dealing with this sale?

Update; 16th December
Following this review my solicitor received the enquiries a couple of days later. My solicitor responded with the answers on 10th December. We followed it up today and received this:
Your replies are currently under review. We will revert when the earliest opportunity presents itself. I’m sure you can appreciate, this week is exceptionally busy with completions before the Christmas break.”
There’s no hurrying up this solicitor. They’re just too busy.

Hek jones have already stated that there is a trainee dealing with it, who needs all their work checking by a superior …..so this does not help with the response time.

I will keep posting updates, until this exchanges contracts to ensure clarity in timescales.

Update; 18 December
I completely refute your statement. I strongly recommend you check your instructions. Your client - my buyer, wanted to move into this property by November, latest December. Your company has persisted in delaying this process by incompetence.
If you continue to assert this deflective blame I will have no alternative to report your company to the Law Society, alongside your client who will be happy to join me by voicing their astonishment at your invented version that suits your sloppy unprofessionalism.
Can I respectfully suggest, instead of insinuating untruths, you just get on with progressing this sale.

Laura made my overall experience Great! Her one to one service was second to none. She worked extremely hard to ensure that my house was sold ASAP. She was full of COVID and the day of completion, could hardly speak over the phone and she still went through it all with me and got my sale sorted, when she should have been in bed. She was so ill, bless her. The service I received was truly excellent.

Avoid Hek Jones!! Horrible solicitors!!

This company worked for my buyer - the trainee Laura flock was slow , did not respond to pressure , asked lots of questions but not all together just dragged it on , whilst on holiday no holiday cover , the process took 9 months
A solicitor is a professional person not someone who works to rule with a 1 pace militant attitude
As a business man if this had been my solicitor they would have had the bullet never to return

Although our conveyancer was technically competent, the office does not seem to be well run. Often nobody answers the phone. The heads of conveyancing do not reply to emails. When a conveyancer is away, nobody backs them up. If the other side's conveyancer is not proactive, Hek Jones won't chase them up. These shortcomings led to some anxious moments.

The conveyancer initially assigned to our case led us to question our decision to choose Hek Jones to handle our property sale. Thankfully, once Natalie Flint took over, the process became significantly smoother. Natalie kept us well-informed at every stage and managed the sale with professionalism and expertise, greatly improving our experience.

A difficult sale, but handled brilliantly by Alex. She kept me informed at every step - which made the process less stressful.

Leon was defensive and confrontational. Refused to take instructions. Gave wrong legal advice. I almost lost my buyer due to his actions. Avoid this company at all costs.

We had a difficult move with the chain falling apart on day of completion. Everyone held their nerve and all got rebuilt and exchanged. Natalie has been amazing throughout. Always kept us informed and she was an absolute pleasure to deal with.

The whole experience has been great considering the issues arising. I will use Hek Jones again without hesitation.

Solcitors from hell, never never use them again. They are very slow and lack communication. Response times are 7 to 10 days which is unacceptable. They then have the audacity to say we are harassing them just because we ask for a update! Shocking
