Thank you for your review ATong. It was our pleasure to help with your professional headshots, and you can use those tips anytime you have a camera pointed in your direction!
I’ve been working with Sam and the Hero Shot Photography team for around 12 years, for everything from my own headshots to team photos and editorial shoots, and the results are consistently incredible.
What really sets Sam apart is the experience. He and his team are warm, professional and incredibly easy to work with. Sam somehow remembers everyone’s name, makes people feel completely comfortable in front of the camera, and takes the time to make sure every shot is just right. You never feel rushed, and it shows in the final photos.
They also make the whole process ridiculously easy. Hair and makeup can be organised if you need it, their studio is fantastic, and they can just as easily come to your office for team shoots. And a visit to the studio comes with the added bonus of Mitsi the adorable pup!
After 12 years and countless shoots, I keep coming back for a reason. If you want brilliant photos without the awkward photography experience, I couldn’t recommend Sam and Hero Shot more highly.

Twelve years, Lauren! Thank you so much for this. We still remember you when you were first starting out, so getting to watch you build the business into what it is now, and that team of yours, has honestly been one of the best parts of the job. From those first headshots all the way to your recent personal branding shoot, we just want to make you look great without any of the awkwardness. And yes, Sam really does remember everyone's name! It makes such a difference to how relaxed people feel, and you can see it in the photos. Whether you're in the Sydney studio or we come to your office, we'll always keep it easy for you. Mitsi says hi too. Here's to the next twelve!
I had a really positive experience with Hero Shot Photography. From the moment we arrived, the team made everyone feel welcome and comfortable, which makes such a difference when you're having professional photos taken.
The whole process was smooth, well organised and relaxed, and the final photos turned out better than I expected. It never felt rushed, and they really took the time to make everyone feel comfortable.
I'd happily recommend Hero Shot Photography to anyone looking for professional headshots with a friendly team that's great to work with.

Thanks Bek. Appreciate the review. Your team has grown so much over the last few years, and it's great being a part of it. From studio headshots to onsite with your engineers, it's great working with your whole crew at Goldfish & Bay.
Hero Shot has no rival! Sam and his team are consummate professionals and they possess a deep understanding of how to secure the best results. We have procured their services for our relatively new business twice now, as the team has grown, and the results are fantastic. There have been a number of clients and friends alike who have commented on how great the photography is on our website! Hero Shot will be our go-to for any photography requirements moving forward. They come highly recommended!

Thank you!! It has been a pleasure creating your new headshots and workplace branded photography for your new website. You have a great team there at Cinderella Wines and we can't wait for the next shoot.
The worst in NSW and be warned! First they don't ever pickup the phone; second they are non-existant at the address and once you get there and try to locate them you'd find no one at the location or to talk to. They only give you canned replies via email (they never say anything important), and they gave me a confirmed location and schedule and NOTHING! Whomever deals with this operation they are miserable

I am copying the response from 2025 to the same review on our Google business page.
Hi Ibrahim,
I’m really sorry to hear of the inconvenience described in you review.
As the owner of the business, this is something I take very seriously. I have investigated your account to the full extent of my abilities and have already sent a detailed account to your email, along with screenshots as evidence to support any claims.
I have personally gone through phone records, email threads, email conversations between colleagues discussing your enquiry, notes left on our CRM after each touch-point with you, and the outcome of each touch-point or conversation.
In summary, whilst you proposed an appointment time by email, an appointment was never confirmed by us. The date you chose to arrive at the studio was also not for the date that you requested from us so I'm further struggling to understand why you have left us this review.
The date you say you came to the studio was also Saturday and our admin team do not work on Saturdays, your numerous calls on this day (from our premises) were therefore not answered.
Our first recorded contact from you is on at the 27th June at 4:02pm via a web contact form on our website.
I appreciate that you said both on the phone to me and in your enquiry that you had called us twice before by phone and hadn’t received a response.
Looking at the incoming call log on our inbound phone, there were no such missed calls from your number that were received on our end.
We have a dedicated team in place to take these calls and so there really is no reason why they would not be answered or returned however if this did slip past us somehow, I really do apologise for this.
The first confirmed contact that we received from you was your web enquiry on 27th June at 4:02pm. Our dedicated customer support team member called you within 6 minutes, in response to your web enquiry to help answer your questions.
On this call, you advised us that you were about to run into a meeting, responding only with “I’ll tell you when I see you”.
We mentioned that we will need to understand more about your personal or branding needs before we can book in an appointment with a headshot specialist.
As you were busy in that moment, we advised that we’d call you again tomorrow before the call was ended however we did not confirm an appointment for a session with you on this call and we don’t know why you left this call feeling as though an appointment had been made.
The email I have sent to you privately goes into considerably more detail on this along with highlighting the spam signals that your email address is sending, causing it to be flagged by Gmail and landing in our Spam.
We were able to find these emails and we alerted you to the issue to and ways to reduce the spam signals currently being raised by our email provider (Google).
The addition of significant phone interference coming from your phone whenever we have spoken to you (perhaps a Bluetooth headset?) also made it very difficult to understand you. I don’t know how the line sounded from your side however I fear that this may have also contributed to any misunderstanding as we really did struggle to hear you. This interference happed on my follow up call to you too, indicating a divide issue on your end.
If you’d like to discuss this matter any further please don’t hesitate to contact me directly.
I have reached out to you since our last conversation and followed up however I haven’t managed to hear back from you as yet and would love to resolve this amicably.
