Practically No Customer Support

I ordered some limited items and after my order processed I noticed I forgot to add one more thing. I sent an email 10 minutes after my order was made and the customer support responded saying the package was already shipped and they couldn’t do anything about it. There’s no way they shipped it that fast. In addition, the fedex tracking showed it hasn’t shipped along with not getting the package yet either. Scum company trying to get every dollar they can.

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service. Kind and courteous, and kept me up to date about my order. Tons of great products to buy. Will absolutely be purchasing from them again. Thank you for being the way a good shop should be!

Great Customer Service!

Some of the best customer service I have ever experienced! They also have great stock at reasonable prices (english and japanese pokemon TCG). Ordered from the many times and will continue to do so!

Ordered With “Order Protection” – Missing Items and Still No Resolution After Nearly 2 Months

I placed an order with Hobbiesville in December 2025 that included a preorder item along with several other in-stock items. The order was not shipped until early February 2026.

When the package arrived, the shipping box was visibly damaged, which concerned me because the order contained multiple booster boxes. As a precaution, I recorded a full unboxing video, showing every side of the package and all of the tape seals before opening it. The video clearly shows that all tape was intact and there were no visible signs of tampering.

However, after opening the package, I discovered that only the preorder item was inside the box. The other four items from the order were missing.

I immediately contacted Hobbiesville support the same day, asking whether my order had been split into multiple shipments or if the other items were sent separately. I also provided the unboxing video I recorded.

To my surprise, I was told that I needed to file a police report, even though there was no clear indication that the package had been tampered with. Despite that, I followed their instructions and filed the police report the same day, then sent the report back to them.

That was almost two months ago, and the issue is still unresolved.

Since then, I have followed up with their support weekly, but the responses have been inconsistent. One week I’m told they are waiting for a conclusion from FedEx, the next week they say they are waiting for a manager, and then the following week they say they are still waiting on FedEx again. The explanation seems to change, but the result is the same: no resolution.

Another concerning point is that this website appears to automatically add their “Order Protection” to the cart when making a purchase. However, when an issue actually occurs, getting them to act on that protection has been extremely difficult.

I am simply stating the facts of my experience so other buyers can make an informed decision. Based on my experience so far, I would strongly advise being cautious when ordering from this website, especially if you are relying on their “Order Protection” to resolve issues.

Shady Business Practices.

UPDATE: I was reached out by the team and was offered an amicable solution. I appreciate having been reached out and am satisfied with the conclusion.

I accepted the offer because I needed money but this review is more about the process then the final results. I had traded in 3 near mint copies of Solemn Judgment MRD 1st as part of a large buylist to hobbiesville. Upon their finalization of the buylist they informed me that a few cards, including the solemns were not near mint and instead LP(Lightly Played) this did not make sense since at least two of the solemns were cracked professionally from PSA 9s. The third one could have been argued whether is was nm or vlp. I called to find out what went wrong and after some back and forth, the lead grader tells me that yes they are LP because of "Factory Defects" but he confesses that they could "Technically be considered NM" but that he wouldnt change the grade and that I could take the cards back. I explained that two of the 3 were graded a 9 and his excuse was that PSA(a well known and established grading company) was a different company to hobbiesville so they had different standards, implying he was better at grading. I needed the money so I accepted since he wouldnt budge. But this has really left a bad taste in my mouth and I will not be doing any business with hobbiesville anymore. After thousands of dollars spent I can not in good conscious do business with a company with such shady practices. It's really the whole "They can technically be considered NM" that just rubbed me the wrong way. You admit they are NM but give me LP prices. I would have loved to spend thousands more at Hobbiesville. I have a giant collection and would have bought and sold more but unfortunately it will come to an end.

Watch the additional fees

They always have great products, but 'auto' adding in a 'protection' fee is super frustrating, that if you checkout with Shop, you don't even see it. Won't be ordering again from them.

I had an issue with one of my orders…

I had an issue with one of my orders (it was showing that it was delivered to a different address from my shipping address) the Hobbiesville team responded quickly and handled the situation effectively. I greatly appreciate all your help!

If you are a collector don’t buy there

If you are a collector, don’t buy there if you buy one item to keep it sealed because it can arrive damaged with broken plastic wrap.
My box arrived damage + the plastic opened and I can’t have a replacement.
So if they poorly packed it and sent to you and it arrive broken, it’s your fault not theirs!

Poor Terms and Conditions

They do not let you know upfront that using a discount code will affect your order and refunds.

Using the code prevents you from getting a refund.
Customer service is sharp and snippy, not friendly.
Overall not somewhere I want to shop again.

I had a very frustrating experience…

I had a very frustrating experience with Hobbiesville’s final sale policy. I accidentally placed an order and tried to cancel it immediately, but there are no options to cancel an order, even right after it’s submitted.

I contacted customer service right away hoping they could help reverse the mistake, but they told me there were no options available for cancellation or refund due to their final sale policy. Unfortunately, customer service was not helpful in offering any alternatives or solutions.

I understand that stores have policies, but a complete lack of flexibility for instant mistakes and no self-service cancellation option makes for a poor customer experience. I would strongly recommend double- and triple-checking your order before submitting, as there is no recourse if something goes wrong.

Update:
Rick from Hobbiesville reached out to me directly to help resolve the issue, which I do appreciate. That said, I still believe their customer service process needs improvement. There should be better options in place to fix simple mistakes, especially when a customer reaches out immediately after placing an order. This situation shouldn’t have been a problem in the first place, and clearer or more flexible support options would go a long way in preventing frustration for future customers.

They automatically added that 7$…

They automatically added that 7$ shipping protection at checkout like snakes. Emailed them immediatly with no way to hold or cancel order before they responded 24hrs later saying they cant refund... never again

Basically Told to Kick Rocks

I placed an order that included several items, but when the package arrived, one of the products was missing. I contacted customer service with a clear explanation, but the response was disappointing. They refused to take responsibility and blamed the issue on the fact that I hadn’t purchased their “order protection.”

For clarity, order protection is meant to cover issues during shipping — not mistakes made during packing. Despite this, they declined to verify their inventory, provide proof that the item was actually packed, or offer any kind of resolution.

I ultimately had to go through my credit card company to get a refund, which should never be necessary for a simple missing item.

Very disappointing customer service. I do not recommend this seller.
