A truly, truly frustrating experience with Abena Boateng. Communication has been extremely poor throughout this transaction and my questions and concerns were routinely dismissed. My offer was accepted six months ago and I still have no certainty as to when this purchase will complete. Months of delays and practically begging for updates that should have been provided proactively. The lack of clarity and communication has made this an unnecessarily stressful experience. I have now lodged a formal complaint with the Legal Ombudsman. Avoid this firm for your own sanity.

Huge thanks to the team at Holden Smith Law Firm. Working against a very strict timeframe, they were professional, fast, and kept me fully informed at every stage. They knew exactly how to navigate the complexities with the mortgage side and other lawyers to get everything across the finish line on time. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Just want to say a massive thank you to Damaride. She has been absolutely amazing over the past few weeks. Buying a property has been incredibly stressful, especially as this was third time lucky for us, but she made the whole journey that little bit easier.

However, as first-time buyers, we felt that communication could have been more proactive. There were several occasions where we needed to contact the firm ourselves to request updates, and more regular communication would have made the process less stressful.

Despite this, we are pleased with the outcome and thankful that we are now in our new home.

Joe Furness has been absolutely amazing at every step of the way while helping up complete on our self build mortgage. It’s was so refreshing to be able to talk to him at any point during the process, he responded to emails extremely quickly, nothing felt like too much trouble and I felt very well looked after and informed throughout the whole process! He exceeded my initial expectation of a completion date by weeks if not months. Honestly could not recommend him or the firm more. I have already been in talks with my partner over using the firm for other legal matters that we need help with (wills, business matters etc).

Our estate agents recommended that we use Holden Smith Law and the experience was overall a positive one. We were looked after by Alex Jones (Horsforth branch) who was always polite and helpful. There were some minor delays where our estate agent/we had to chase for progress updates but our sale and purchase still completed well within expected timescales and, when contacted directly Alex was always quick to respond.

I had an excellent experience with my solicitor Alex, throughout both the sale of my old home and the purchase of my new one. Used Holden Smith to help repay my help to buy equity loan. Joe was helpful every step of the way and was prompt in dealing with any queries I had and ensured this was paid before the deadline.

We asked Joe Furness of Holden law to help my wife and me through the help to buy equity loan repayment. This was a complexed procedure working with the HTB and our bank. Joe guided us through the process with ease and professionalism all the way to completion. I would recommend Joe at Holden Smith.

Absolutely terrible and unprofessional company. Apparently mailed my paperwork to the other solicitor that never appeared. So had to send it myself. The lack of response to emails is absolutely shocking unless you paste in the company director and lo and behold it’s answered within minutes. It’s not that I was paying them 10 quid it was 549 to copy and send a letter to the other solicitor for transfer of equity. Absolutely shocking and unprofessional company but looking at their reviews I ain’t suprised.

My experience with Holden Smith was fantastic. . I have just purchased my house as a first time buyer and was nervous about the whole process . Alex Jones my solicitor was so helpful and fantastic. Alex made this process stress free and a smooth ride and Explained every detail to me. Any questions I had, he would answer straight away. The communication was brilliant.
