A shitfest and the last time I will waste time on "Angi". Every time, I repeat every time I was dumb enough to take the bait, I was treated to attempted scamming and upselling. The FTC should have shut this outfit down a decade ago. Remind me what is it that our government actually does.

ANGIs deserves ZERO stars. They sold me on a subscription. On the phone the rep said it was month to month but bait and switched me into a year long contract. I did not read the fine print and assumed what the rep told me over the phone was the stipulations. They are scammers and I am more disappointed with myself for falling into this trap. They also charge a hefty cancellation fee and if the leads you get are not leads they STILL charge you for it.

They front load all your leads at the start of every month then flood you with "opportunities" which they charge hundreds for. They changed our contract to a completely different service while telling us it would remain the same. Then when they provide leads that are outside of our service area because the customer entered the correct address and town (outside of our service area) but mistyped one number to a zip code in our area they won't credit us because "our contract has a discount applied already." Nobody over there treats you like a real person. They seem to not care that these opportunities and leads are the lifeblood of how we feed our families and our employees families. They care about how many dollars they can milk from us until we get sick of them, sue them, they close up shop and rebrand as someone else (again). DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY

Angi stole my credit card information and marked it for automatic payments then fraudulently charged my credit card. It’s basically a scam, their “leads” are garbage. Then you have to jump through hoops to delete your information. I had to get a new credit card number.

This business will sign you up and ask for your card info...DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM! They will say its for future leads but they charge you $50 and then make it next to impossible to get it back. If you need a job they will take your money first!!!!

They leave slanderous reviews from crooked people on your account. You can have all the evidence in the world to prove the review is slanderous and they dont do anything about it.

I'm a customer who's information they sold as a lead. Now, I have to battle (or not answer the phone) for hundreds of contractors per year, asking me about the same job and if they can be selected for it. If they could DELETE my information, that'd be great.

If you work with them just know that they are scammer, always send fake leads and fake customer. Do not spend time and money on this service it doesn’t work because this company is a scammer. Thank you very much.

Genuinely one of the worst experiences me and my business partner have had in business. Whatever you do, do not sign up with these guys. They continued to bill us even after we canceled our account, and sent us to collections for leads we never received. If we had a business credit card, our credit would’ve been destroyed. I cannot stress enough how much of a scam and waste of money Angi is. STAY. AWAY.

Do not use this service if you are a contractor! They will lie about service and how it works. Out of 20 plus so called leads and thousands of dollars nothing! Nothing but junk leads!

Leads if they even are legitimate are quite poor and never go through/convert. These people are bombarded by calls because Angie just sends out their information to a bunch of different professionals. They take absolutely no accountability, and when I reached out to cancel the service, they had recently charged me (within a week) for their $300 membership and would not even give me a partial refund. Was tossed around to several representatives and even hung up on. Do NOT use them for finding good pros. Just search Google and look at good reviews.

Angi Leads are a bunch of crooks. They just took $517 from my account today that they said was for leads from last week. I never spoke to a potential customer. They just take money from contractors. If you are a contractor out there considering them as a form of generating new business run the other way.

This is a scam company.
We had a very bad experience with Angie.
We wanted to have a one-month trial, but the representative sent a 1-year agreement to my boss to sign. I know it is our mistake for not reading the agreement first. But the representative was very pushy with the plan and didn't notify us about this whole thing. When we tried to get off their hook - turned out we need to pay an early cancellation fee for almost $3000.
The quality of the leads is garbage. They literally giving you dead souls with no record. No answers whatsoever.
And they tell you, that the customer chooses you directly and specifically - that's also not true. I've talked with a few customers, and I've been told that they just put a request, they don't choose anything.
Also, I don't know how it works, but when I receive a notification (the fastest one is in the mobile app), I immediately give a call to the potential customer. But every single time it turns out, that I'm third or fourth one who calls!
If you are a technician, or a small company - never go with this scam. There's no way around their con art.

Angi/Handy partners with Lowe's to provide 3rd party installers for projects. The process for actual connecting with an installer is needlessly complicated and downright impossible if your project is even slightly complicated. My wife and I have been trying to replace a kitchen sink, faucet, and garbage disposal. We went to Lowe's to purchase all the items on 3/7/2026. Due to some incompetence at Lowe's, the project became split between the faucet and garbage disposal on one order and the sink on another. Up to this point, Angi has repeatedly incorrectly scheduled the faucet and disposal without the sink. Once I managed to get a hold of the Lowe's install team to fix their errors I was told by Lowe's AND Angi that a professional would be out today (4/23/2026)at 4pm. I just got an email at 3pm telling me that the appointment was being canceled and rescheduled to 4/28/2026 with no further explanation or attempt to compensate me for all my wasted time up to this point. After complaining over email, representative Bruce said they didn't have a professional available. When asked about refunding my install costs, Bruce invited me to cancel my project through Lowe's. This is such a scam.

Complained about them taking my money and providing me nothing, they charged me $750 which I’m disputing, now they are trying to charge me $233 dollars more and threatening to send me to collections, pros please stay away from the money grab!

When this service started it was great, as they have grown and the owner has gotten further and further out of touch. The system is complete garbage, When health issues caused me to suspend my services that when next to impossible. When I tried to restore services now I can’t even access my account to restore. These folks are so far out of touch with the real world it’s not even remotely funny.

The company is in bad. They have called me about 6 times in the last couple months about why I dont use them as a contractor. Oh this last guy that called was trying to tell me how to run a construction company when he sells memberships to them...

They say they have changed, in my opinion, a little too late. Stop harassing contractors to come back to the service.

By the way they start the call off with why did ypu stop using us and I tell them the same thing everytime. Each time they just respond with we have changed that, no explanation to how they changed it but good for them. Keep on chugging along.

I would leave negative stars if possible. Their salesmen promise a bunch of leads. For a low affordable price. When the leads start coming in you find yourself harassing potential customers by phone. Text and email. Just to not connect with them. They make you sign a year contract with an unreasonable service area. When you try to cancel early they add a ridiculous fee. Angi is the worst scam for small entrepreneurs trying to drum up business. Stay far away.
