Fraudulent Request for Balance Payment
Requested a quote for a house move (and did the same from a number of other companies). Was not happy with the emailed quote, so did not engage when I received a further email from a local mover through their service. 7 days prior to my move I received an email stating it was 7 days from my move date and I needed to pay the outstanding balance to them for the move (£1485). Since I never booked any move with them, this request is legally a fraudulent request, and I communicated this fact to them via email. The following day I received another email telling me they were deleting all my personal data from their systems. Had I not been aware of what I was doing and who I had booked, and with all the stress of coordinating our house move, or been a vulnerable person, I may have blindly paid this request for a balance payment. Illegal activity from this business!

You’re absolutely right to call out how concerning that email would have been - especially so close to a move date, which is already a stressful time. While this was the result of a technical error following the rollout of a new sales process, we fully recognise that from your perspective it appeared as an unexpected and unwarranted payment request, and that’s not acceptable.
To be clear, no booking had been made on your behalf, and no payment was ever due. As soon as the issue was identified, the process was halted and your data was removed from our systems in line with your wishes.
We take this seriously, particularly given the risk you’ve highlighted around vulnerable customers, and we’ve already implemented safeguards to ensure this cannot happen again.
We completely respect your right to leave feedback, but we hope you might consider updating your review to reflect that this was a genuine mistake rather than intentional wrongdoing. As a small business, feedback like this has a significant impact, and we’re doing everything we can to learn from and improve on this situation.
I hope your move went smoothly in the end, and I’m very sorry again for the disruption caused.

Excellent Service Delivery
The initial booking process was simple and everything went like clockwork. I received a couple of emails reminding me of the appointment to keep me on track. Zak arrived on time and was extremely professional and courteous. He asked me at the very start if I had any specific concerns and addressed them at the end. As he only came yesterday I am yet to receive the Report, but I have no concerns on that front. As stated at the booking stage I know it will be a few days before that comes through.
Very impressed so far.

Great. They were able to put my survey on hold until I was ready. Megan was super helpful even when we thought we might need to extend. I also got a good price and was able to negotiate due to booking more than one thing. Very easy and all my surveys done on time and with no fuss to me!

House buying and remortgaging made easy
I was struggling to make sense of how to pay my Help to Buy off. I wasn't getting much help from anywhere until I stumbled upon Homemove.com
Sarahjane in particular was a massive help. She gave me a step by step guide and put me onto surveyors and solicitors and here I am 6 weeks later and all completed.
Without homemove I think I would still be going around in circles.
Highly recommended.

I found Homemove when I was looking for a valuation service on Google and I've got the best service ever. The customer service (Philip) has been done with excellence as well the service partner advised. I'm also in contact with a mortgage advisor service which has been very good so far. I didn’t get my surveyors name however I felt I had to leave a review as the man who did my valuation was amazing he made me feel at ease straight away as I’ve never sold a house before and he helped explain things and was so friendly it really made my experience great as I was a bit nervous but he was really kind.
