Ive been with host us since 10th Dec 2016, everything was great for the most part up until about Sept 2018 and odd things started happening and support tickets where taking around 2 weeks to answer. As it progressed more and more issues continued and tickets kept taking longer to resolve or answer. While their service is cheap, support has gone down the tubes in the past 6 months. Ive since moved all my vps's and in waiting for my final day, im still waiting to see if they will resolve my 2 open tickets
Solid hosting but watch your own uptime 'cause they won't
Solid hardware, good performance, but they won't tell you there's a problem when there's a problem.
I've used their VPS hosting for several years. A good value! For some reason, HostUS refuses to notify their customers when they have an outage. That has wasted hours of time as we scramble to troubleshoot something that isn't our fault, nor under our control. Sigh. If they could only get a bit proactive they would be a solid 5 star provider!
Very bad servers
Very bad servers, they throttle FTP connections, so even if you generate a backup via CPanel, good luck trying to download it and moving away from their crappy servers!
The server interrupts the download and then you have to start over and over and over... very very crappy idea. You get what you pay for!
As for Support
As for Support, I give them an -F I have switched from Inmotion hosting to Hostus due to their prices, I am disabled and I receive a fixed income and I thought they were good. I too run a reselling hosting program. I know how to deal with people. I know how fast one should be, within a few hours is good but not 2, not 3 not 4 days and nothing gets done. They take your money and you're screwed. when they do finally talk to you they act like they don't know how to fix something and therefore making up excuses as they move along. I purchased a VPS server for my reseller program. Every time I try to get through the Console. It tells me the Login password or username isn't right when I know for a fact it was. I didn't get a license number to my Cpanel that I have ordered, I haven't been able to get into the WMC services that I have purchased. However, I am giving them a chance to prove me wrong and work on the problems that need to be worked on. Once I get my reseller up and running I will post that here if you wish to purchase a website and you will see how one person business is done. I know they have real lives but if they can't handle running a business, perhaps they should just shut down.
PS, this is my website. "thesecretsocietychronicles.com" You can see it's not working but broken. I've been waiting on the pending crap to be done, going on the second day now. Now, my services that I will be running is for Role Players because we Role playing geeks don't have the money for the expensive stuff.
Unbeatable Offers
You get what you pay for and with offers such as theirs, you simply cannot complain about delayed support or occasional downtime. The bang for buck more than makes up for it. Overall, a decent service that means money well spent.

Don't use it, they suspend our server because they detect someone connects to our SSH port.
Great services at very affordable prices
I have been using a KVM VPS from HostUS for five months and the service had been really reliable! The support staff was very helpful when I needed an upgrade.

Dear Future Customers!
Like i have no doubt that the quality of the services they provide must be good since they have been in the market for quite a while and hence i choose them over some other options i had after moving from Krystal Solutions Hosting due to inferior support ticket response times 2+ days for a simple response. So i'm taking an CEH exam in which i've installed kali on both VMware & VirtualBox without any issues but came across a annoying bump via KVM due to some boot partition issues "discovered by andrew" This was discovered after 7 days so my service was left idle i did ask for a refund "which got declined, not a problem as long as i got my service up to running kali" when they couldn't sort it out after 4-5 days into the service but i think they have a policy of 24-72 hours not sure what it is. Respect their decision. Well anyways on the 8th day of my idle service which i paid we got a break through and managed to set it up, but it was the light version meaning didnt have most of the features I needed. Till this day having issues setting it up but will follow what they said anyways and see what happens.
As long as I get my thing up and running im a person who gets out of your hair. But this is by far the longest and most hair removing issue I've had and on top of it took 3-6 hours for most responses. The only person who seems to work there is Andrew but have seen one ticket answered by some other guy on the 8th day of having my service. But I'm not entirely sure what they mean by 24/7 since by the looks of their support runs from 6:30 am -> 6-8pm ruffly according to my experience.
So down to the end. If you're looking for quick support response times you won't get it from them. Service wise I'm not sure since I haven't gotten to use my VPS since it can't get the ISO uploaded without them doing it on their end since their breeze panel doesn't support it. So from now on i'll only pick solusvm / virtualizor based hosts.
Final Review - 3/10 for support response times
Solving the issue at hand - 2/10 since it took 8 days.
Just my opinion but thought i'd share my experience.
Good site
I shifted from go daddy to Hostus because of the downtime. It is working good. Good maintenance and the customer service is responsive
