False advertising an fraud

They claim to have parts in stock on their parts website. I place an order for the parts I need and they take my money. A few days later they tell me that they no longer stock those parts. Instead of issuing a refund they just voided the order. So now I have to wait 10-30 days for the payment to expire for me to receive my money back. How hard would it have been to give me a proper refund? This is also false advertising and fraud if you claim you have something and then take money for it when you know you don’t have it.

One Advise - Dont buy their cars under any condition
I recently contacted Hyundai Canada about an issue with my Santa Fe and had a very disappointing experience with customer service. I was kept on hold for a long time while agents tried to figure out what my case was about, and it was clear they were not prepared to handle detailed questions or challenges. When I asked for written confirmation of their position, I was told I would not receive anything, then later found an email had been sent anyway. The worst part was that the customer service specialist ended the call while I was still speaking. This experience has left me with very little confidence in Hyundai Canada’s customer support, especially when dealing with complex warranty concerns.

Six days ago

Six days ago, they took my car for a tire change, and I still haven't received approval to change even one tire. I'm unable to work and can't get a job without my car. This is terrible service, especially since I bought a new car. I regret it.and My friends changed their cars at Toyota in just an hour and a half

I purchase a brand new vehicle from…

I purchase a brand new vehicle from Streetsville Hyundai in April 2025, car currently has under 15,000 KM and is its first winter. I open the hood to add washer fuel and was horrified to see state of the engine, photo provided. Every single part of the engine was covered in road dirt and winter salt. The battery which should be kept clean was saturated in winter salt, the metal and electrical components are covered. I sent this photo to Streetsville Hyundai and then took the car in. They looked at this and told me that everything was fine. I asked them how can this be fine when people are constantly at the car wash in the winter trying to wash the salt off the body of their cars. They then recommended that I can clean/wash under the hood. I have never heard of regularly needing to wash my engine nor have I ever had to incur that cost. Now I am stuck with a car loan for a new car that will no doubt erode faster under the hood, increase repair cost, likely right after the warranty runs out and shorten the life of the car. I guess Hyundai conveniently benefits all of this. If you are considering buying Hyundai please be aware.

Deceptive and Shady Company

Bought a 2017 Tucson brand new, meticulously maintained, then started consuming oil around 135k Km (had extended warranty to 146k). Dealership and HC said it was normal to use 1L of oil per 1000km!!! Well, at 150K my engine needed to be replaced thanks to scored cylinders...as tested by the dealership for $500 (how convenient, right after the warranty expired!!). HC said they won't cover anything, and won't respond to any more of my enquiries. Dealership also washed their hands of it. A simple Google search will reveal how many of their vehicles have failed engines, they are fully aware they are selling lemons. Hyundai Canada are criminal, avoid them like the plague and buy a reliable vehicle...I bought a Toyota.

Also avoid Precision Hyundai in Calgary, These people are completely unethical and irresponsible!!

My daughter really relies on her…

My daughter really relies on her vehicle for her job. It is going to g through so much oil , she can’t keep enough oil in it. As it’s no longer under warranty anymore, the dealership wants to charge her $1000 just to test it and then she would probably need a new engine which is bloody ridiculous since she still owes for that vehicle. These dealerships are terrible. they gouge people constantly. Some of the vehicles in Hyundai have been recalled, unfortunately, hers is not one of them.… They should be responsible for vehicles that are lemons

Attrell Hyundai in Brampton should literally just close its doors .

They "explain" documents to their clients, which is totally inaccurate to what exactly the documents entail!

And then they take no accountability for that. They downgrade people's positions that work there and take no ownership on an accurate information those people tell clients !

Hyundai is a whole should be disgusted in themselves to even blame that Hyundai dealerships are independently owned! And that's their excuse for not helping clients.
Save yourself the trouble and don't buy yourself a Hyundai vehicle!!! they are probably one of the most dishonest companies in the car industry

PT Barnum said there is a sucker born every minute In my view Hyundai shares that sentiment

About 2 weeks ago I received a call that my cell phone displayed as LIKELY SPAM. I answered and the woman on the other end said she was calling from Gyro Hyundai where we bought a used car some moths back. I asked about the SPAM message and if he was calling from a dealership wouldn't the name of the dealership be displayed. She said it was because the dealership wouldn't let them use dealership phones. I said I didn't believe her and I would not be answering questions. She said I could just listen and she seemed to know when we bought the car and what we paid. Furthermore she said that there was a shortage of the car we bought and the dealership was prepared to offer us more than we paid if we sold it back. I said get someone to call from a legit phone number and we will talk.
It didn't take long to search and discover that this is scam and certainly not reputable. Maybe they think if they can lure you to the dealership they can have their way with you. So I wrote a note to the Hyundai CEO.....no reply. The dealership didn't reply either. Is it possible that the Hyundai policy and climate now is to rape the customer?

Hyundai Doesn’t Care About Families.

If I could give zero stars, I would. My boyfriend was made executor of his late father’s estate, which included a Hyundai vehicle financed through the bank. Despite funds being available, the bank inexplicably stopped making payments, and Hyundai repossessed the vehicle.

That’s unfortunate enough — but what’s truly unacceptable is what came next. We were instructed to email Hyundai proof of the will to retrieve our personal belongings from the repossessed car. We sent everything and followed up multiple times, but never received a single response.

It’s now been almost a year, and our personal and sentimental belongings are gone — not because we failed to act, but because Hyundai failed to respond. No acknowledgment, no compassion, no accountability.

If this is how Hyundai treats grieving families and legal executors acting in good faith, it says everything about their values. We are demanding proper communication, accountability, and compensation for the loss of our personal property.

Hyundai — it’s time to do the right thing.
We will continue sharing this experience publicly until someone finally takes responsibility.

Very Disappointed

Very Disappointed – Unethical and Unhelpful Experience. Stay away from Kingcross Hyundai 1957 Eglinton Ave. East | Scarborough, ON | M1L 2M3. These people are completely unethical and irresponsible. I bought a car from them, and they installed a license plate cover with their dealership name without informing me. Because of that cover, I received a fine from the police for having an obstructed plate.
When I contacted Farid and the team at Kingcross Hyundai, they showed zero interest, offered no apology, and took no responsibility for their mistake. This shows the kind of dishonest and careless business they run.
It’s deeply disappointing to see such unethical and careless practices from a dealership representing a major brand. Dealers should act responsibly and ensure customers do not face legal trouble because of their actions.
They only care about making a sale, not their customers. Be warned — avoid this dealership at all costs unless you want to deal with fines and rude, unprofessional behaviour afterwards.

I bought a Hyundai from Hyundai Windsor and I encountered very bad treatment. The person in charge of financing was a young man with no experience and the manager did not know how to solve any problem. When my son wanted to buy a Hyundai, my advice was to buy from Hyundai Chatham and he really did and he deal with them in a very professional and kind manager . So my advice to anyone who wants to buy a Hyundai is to go to Chatham

Trying to deal with hyundai canada…

Trying to deal with hyundai canada specifically the manager that I was talking to. She should definitely be replaced or hyndais slogan should be changed from Wah to "Unfortunately" absolutely useless. This useless corporate way of thinking has went way to far. Do not buy a hyundai.
Every solution I put forth was stone walled and met with the same generic answer over and over. Every time I would offer a resolution and she would say well if you let me finish what I was saying. I say okay go ahead and she would repeat the same generic response once again starting with "unfortunately". It was like talking to a parrot. If this is hyundais vision then there not going to last long. If it's just the managers own ethics then she should be replaced to re positioned. Talking to her is like Talking to a wall,only Talking to a wall would be less annoying. I don't think hyundai will be around much longer.

Hyundai Canada

My mother purchased her new car in 2013. It is a Hyundai Elantra. The car was purchased in Sault Ste Marie, her engine started making a noise a few months ago. She always did the required maintenance at the dealer where she bought the car. She brought the car in for the noise and was told she would need a new engine. There are only 65 000 km on the car. My mom is 87 yrs old and not in a position to purchase a new car or replace the engine. On behalf of my mom, I contacted Hyundai Canada and was told that all warranties are expired and there is nothing they can do. We were advised to contact the dealer to see what are options are. There were no options for us except to drive the car until the engine fails. I am concerned about the safety of my mom when this will happen. Hyundai should compensate the customer and guarantee their cars. An engine should not fail after 65 000 km. I would not buy another Hyundai again.

I’m extremely disappointed with Winner…

I’m extremely disappointed with Winner Ford/Hyundai and Hyundai as a company. I purchased a Hyundai Ioniq 5 expecting reliability and support—but this has turned into a complete nightmare.

My car has been at the dealership since May 15, and as of today, it’s been over 40 days with no resolution. I’m making payments of nearly $800/month for a car I can’t even drive. I’ve worked with a case manager, but nothing is getting done. I keep getting vague updates and excuses, but no real progress.

Even worse—my car broke down while I was driving across a bridge with my children. It wouldn’t go over 25 mph. It was one of the scariest experiences of my life, and still, Hyundai and Winner Ford/Hyundai continue to drag their feet.

This level of service is unacceptable. Hyundai does not stand behind its vehicles, and Winner Ford/Hyundai does not advocate for their customers. I truly regret ever trusting this brand and this dealership. Avoid both at all costs.

J'adore ma voiture ioniq 5

J'adore ma voiture ioniq 5, mais est-ce qu'Hyundai est une bonne compagnie? Pas vraiment. J'ai racheté une Hyundai grâce au service du concessionnaire de ma nouvelle ville. Sinon, avant j'avais un citron. Les personnes de Hyundai Canada ne voulaient rien faire pour arranger tous les problèmes que j'ai avec ma voiture. J'avais une Accent 2012 tout équipée. Elle a passé plus de temps au garage que sur la route. Jusqu'à temps que la garantie finisse et ne voulait plus régler les problèmes même si c'étaient des problèmes déjà présents avant la fin de la garantie. Mon volant a été changé 7 reprise. Des composants de mon volant ont été changés à 14 reprises. La qualité de la voiture en général était médiocre. Que même un mécano m’a dit que tout est strippé sous la voiture et la voiture a qu'une semaine. Bref, avec toutes ses mésaventures. Je déménage à St-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Le dealer a tout fait pour me satisfaire suite à un rappel sur la voiture. Assez pour que je revienne régulièrement. Hyundai Canada a 3 étoiles que parce que ce conseiller m'a redonné confiance. par chance, ma nouvelle voiture allait comme un charme jusqu'à maintenant... Je vais voir maintenant si eux aussi sont pareils que les autres

Worst cars on market

The engine on my 2013 tucson blew with only 144000 kms on it. All they say is it is past the warranty period if they really cared about their customers there wouldnt be a warranty period at all. Their cars are garbage and they dont care at all about the customer. Save yourself and look elsewhere for a car.

Daniel, the best salesman in Hyundai

The experience I had was absolutely fantastic and it was so friendly so helpful so easy made everything. Just feel so good you know there was no worries so I doubt just absolutely perfect and it was all down to Daniel from Hull Hall depot Hyundai at Hull in Hessle Daniel, thank you very much. That’s twice you’ve helped my family out wonderful wonderful salesman absolutely brilliant thank you for so much.

Piece of crap

We bought a 2022 Ioniq5 all electric brand new in 2022. Absolutely the worst piece of junk I have ever owned. First trip from Abbotsford to 100 mile house the air conditioner failed in the heat of summer took until december 2024 and we still aren't believing it's repaired . Then we have the issue with the car randomly having no charge , you go out to go somewhere and nothing. Still they feel there is nothing wrong.
Do yourselves a favor and never buy a hyundai
