Nightmare at the beginning!
The heatwave was making it impossible to sleep and, like everyone else, we wanted air conditioning fitted yesterday.
Unfortunately there was a national shortage of AC systems, which Iwan explained from the start. He was upfront about the delay and said demand was pushing prices up. Rather than pass those increases on to us, he asked if we could hang on while he sourced the right system and came back with a fixed quote.
We didn’t really want to wait, so we asked another company to quote. They were more expensive, wanted to install a lower-spec unit and, thanks to Iwan, we also learned how important it is to use a REFCOM-accredited installer. That was something we hadn’t even considered before, so thank you for pointing it out.
We now have our AC installed and couldn’t be happier. We’re looking forward to the next hot spell knowing we’ll finally get a good night’s sleep.
