I needed to arrange for my wife to get a PPS visa, to join me in the UK. I did compare prices with several solicitors and chose Melanie Wong because she charged several hundred pounds less, and her service was also highly professional, always reliable, and very well organized and worth every penny.
Although we never met in person, due to the current Covid-19 circumstances, she always replied within days and gave us detailed explanations about the next steps which needed to be completed.
Later we also spoke on the phone where she was always calm and professional, even in situations that were vague and uncertain due to Covid-19. When I needed to book a biometric appointment between lockdowns, we were not confident when we could obtain an appointment. She called the Home office (very difficult to get through to them) and spoke to a Supervisor and did her best in these difficult times.
In the end, we got our biometric appointment, and also our application was successful! If you considering if it is worth taking a solicitor, I would advise you to do it, because it increases your chances of success and with Melanie, you also have peace of mind, because she is very experienced and client orientated. It even included helpful templates such as friend & family letter of support and included instructions on exactly the format evidence should be presented. Once the application and evidence was completed I then purchased the Document Checking service which again was such a valuable purchase for as Melanie carefully reviewed all the documents and the form. One particular attention to detail that I liked was I had added an extra digit on the form for a passport number, Melanie spotted this and asked me to change it. This attention to detail and extra suggestions of sentences to put in really made our application stronger and we got accepted first time. Another thing to mention is that Melanie always responded to my queries within a few hours of me sending the email.
