Quite pleased with Imperfects. There was a small mix up on my order, but I reached out to them and they responded soon and corrected it. Kindness and thoughtfulness goes a long way with me and I experienced that in all the communication exchanges. In honor of this stellar review, I am wearing my Shepherd Shirt (Primo Denim) as I write the review. It fits, feels, and looks great.

Loves the clothes as the first time customer.

One of the items did not fit, and the entire customer service experience was seamless and they were helpful in finding another alternative as the size I needed was not in stock.

Zero accountability or communication. Reached out for a simple size exchange for Order #IMP12026 (an anniversary gift).I ordered a pair of Canvas Buckle Sliders two weeks in advance (mid July 2026) as an anniversary gift for my wife. The support team promised they would process the exchange and then completely stopped responding. I was not even looking for a return.

I cant comment on the product as it is still unused.

I have been wearing the brand for some time. But in the last 2 years I have notice a dramatic change in quality. After recommending the brand for years I have since stoped the last 3 things I got over this year were all garbage, might as well been from ROSS. I am bummed how hard they have fallen off from where they started. Now I would recommend picking there stuff from Grailed or Poshmark for any of there US made stuff.

I’ve been an Imperfects supporter for a while. Their Shepherd’s Shirt was one of the first handcrafted pieces of clothing I ever ventured to purchase. The fabric from that piece was so unique and evolved as I wore it that it really opened my eyes to thoughtful textiles, textures, and fabric weights.

I’ve bought several pieces from them in great cuts and wonderfully unique fabrics, and I could feel the “human” element in every stitch. I’m actually writing this review not for the garments themselves, which I would recommend without hesitation, but for that human component.

I reached out to customer service to see if they could recommend a similar fabric to a piece that had been stolen on a road trip. It was that same piece that started my journey with them, a piece that had been on a journey with me, and one they no longer make. The Imperfects team went far above and beyond anything I could have expected. They located one in their archives for me.

That human element is felt in their clothes, and it was certainly felt by this customer.

Imperfect refers to their return policy. It’s one of the worst of any online retailer I’ve dealt with except for the one that ships directly from India and has no refunds. You’ll pay upfront for the privilege of being able to make a return within a 30 day limit. I missed the date by 2 days. I’m out $195.00 for pants I never wore.

I’ve followed imperfects online for quite some time now but getting to stop in at their brick and mortar was such a treat, the entire staff was so hospitable and it was really great to be able to see everything they are working on! Imperfects is crushing it, finally got a few pieces and can’t wait to wear them. The quality is insane. I couldn’t recommend supporting a brand and the people running it more. You won’t be disappointed!

I’ve been a long time customer of Imperfects and can honestly say that my experience with Customer service has always been a positive one. Their response time has gotten better but they’re always great to deal with. I can’t say enough about the quality of the clothes. The fabrics are beautiful and if you’re lucky enough to snag a Mr. Lynch piece you won’t regret it. I get compliments all the time especially if I’m in NYC wearing their clothes. I just got the spring corduroy in driftwood and camper shirt and love it. If you like comfort and style you need to get some. BTW I have their Shepherds Shirt in Quilted Nylon in green and loved it so much I got a second one in Navy. I’m a big fan of theirs as you can tell😍

Just received the shepherds quilt shirt that i ordered for my husband. it is beautifully made with unique details that make it extra special. Well done. He loves it, and he quite frankly doesn't like anything new.

Imperfects has some of the best clothes. Every time I think I have enough of their clothes, I get another piece that I fall in love with. I always get compliments.

In addition, their customer service is top notch. When I lost a button, they helped me out and now I have a wonderful and usable shirt again.

I cannot recommend this brand and their team (eg. customer service) any higher. Love them and look forward to getting more of their gear.

I'm a Christian - and a while ago I was convicted of the poor working conditions of most of the workers who produce a majority of the clothing worn in the West. I don't want to contribute to that economy. So, I started dressing "liturgically" - meaning I wear one outfit for the duration of a liturgical season that is colored the same as the liturgical color. That's right. The same jacket, t-shirt, and pants every single day (don't worry, I wash em often enough!).

I'm not into fast fashion or cheap clothes. It's just not worth the human suffering that it costs. There's a great book called "Worn" by Sofi Thanhauser if you're interested in learning more.

The outfit I wear everyday of the year is a shepherds shirt and courier pants OG fit. I have four color ways of the same outfit. Currently I'm in the craft canvas color for Easter. Lent is black. Ordinary time is green. Advent is blue. Christmas is white, again.

Imperfects does great work and offers a quality product. Like I said, I literally wear your clothes every single day of the year.

I had a fantastic experience with this brand. I purchased a Shepherds Shirt and love it. I had some initial questions about size and coloring that I wanted to ask prior to purchase, and I heard back from them within hours. I'll definitely be a returning customer!

Easy to swap size. Very happy with pants.

Pants are decent. Overpriced at $180 for canvas. Then charged $12.99 for shipping, and a $20.00 transaction fee. I wouldn't buy again.

Echoing prior reviews, processing and shipment was slow, sizing was at least 1/2 size off (medium jacket), and return policy was a total joke. Would not even do an exchange after 30 days (xmas present). Their marketing vibe is all Cali-cool-artisanal, while their customer service is BS big-box fine print. Buyer beware.

This independent San Diego apparel brand has a lot of appeal: utilitarian design, quality materials, a distinctive logo and identity. Unfortunately, the brand name proves prophetic — Imperfects.

Sizing is wildly inconsistent. Although I am usually true-to-size, the pants in my order were oversized in the waist, leg, and length, while a T-shirt from the same order ran extremely small. The discrepancies made it impossible to determine whether sizing down or switching styles would fix the issue.

When I reached out to customer support for help, nobody was home. Multiple emails went unanswered, with no guidance available on fit, sizing, or next steps. Additionally, Imperfects charges a $40 fee to process refunds, even when items do not fit as expected. Rather than supporting the customer, Imperfects places responsibility for their sizing issues on the customer, with its “some of your money back” guarantee and refund policy.

Delivery was also slower than expected, taking nine days from order placement to in-state delivery. Combined with the inconsistent sizing and nonexistent support, the overall experience was disappointing and, well, imperfect.
Most similar brands cover return shipping when an item doesn’t fit but Imperfects imposes a substantial refund fee, the most onerous I’ve encountered with any online retailer. Exchanging items in hopes of a better fit, when they get around to sending you your order, feels risky. I won’t be returning to Imperfects. The name says it all.
