The speedy response and the excellent engineer

Have few indesit devices like dryer, washing machine and last week had the first issue with one where it would not turn on.

I contacted the retailer as was told it was still under warranty and they got an indesit tech to come and look at it about 5 working days later.

Gerard was his name and he was absolutely excellent he had the problem diagnosed and resolved very quickly. He even cleaned up around the washing machine and gave me some great advise to get as long out of the machine as possible.

Overall very impressed with there machine and now there service too.

The service was absolutely excellent. From phone call to engineer fixing issue was a turn around time of 2.5hrs. Very pleasant people to deal with.

Paul, indesit engineer, was most helpful explaining the whole process along with some great tips/suggestions for keeping appliances in best condition.

Very well trained engineer and kept me informed constantly about what he was doing.

Product has given no trouble until now and has done alot if work. Issue was easily resolved by engineer and Product is working fine again..

Technician was professional and listened then checked the fridge and also ordered a bulb that was blown.

Staff on initial call friendly and helpful. Engineer on the job very professional and courteous. Only down side was had to wait a week for a part.

I recently had an issue with my washer/dryer which I've had for 6 years. I called the helpline on the machine and the man on the phone was friendly and clear about the options available to me. He arranged for an engineer to come out in a couple of days.

The engineer was on time, also friendly, fixed the issue (a broken part) and offered advice on dealing with an unpleasant odour - which was outside the scope of the call out. He was able to sell me a cleaner that will hopefully help with the odour as he had it in the van. I have already tried various methods so hopefully this one will help.

Overall I was happy with the level of care and ease of arranging this repair.

Purchased Indesit EIB15050A1D.UK1 Integrated 50/50 Fridge Freezer, SKU: 700030871, from a retailer in Ireland on 9th September 2021. Delivered to us 16th September 2021.
On 30th March 2023, just after filling both fridge and freezer with over €100 worth of consumables, it stopped cooling/ freezing. Light was coming on so no problem with power.
Everything in the fridge was ruined and had to be destroyed.
Worst part was the Indesit helpline and trying to get assistance. My husband was transferred 3 times, all saying, they would transfer him again, to be eventually cut off.
I understand a warranty being 12 months, but to not be able to receive any advice or assistance without paying an extortionate fee after having the fridge freezer just over 18 months is just not acceptable.
We've always taken care of our appliances, (we had our previous fridge freezer for just over 20 years).
The outcome was that we had to purchase a new fridge freezer, pay for delivery and restock ruined items, all costing over €750.
Avoid Indesit at all costs. Poor products and even worse customer service.
