Disappointing Communication and Support for Speakers
I recently had the opportunity to speak at the Generative AI Summit in London, organized by IQPC, and unfortunately, my experience was far from straightforward. While the event itself had potential, the lack of communication from the IQPC team made the overall experience quite frustrating.
From the outset, the onboarding process was marked by poor responsiveness. Emails went unanswered, and it became difficult to get any clarity or updates on my involvement, even via LinkedIn messages. Despite being offered a speaker slot, there was minimal engagement and no support leading up to the event. After the summit, I reached out several times requesting pictures of the event and any follow-up, but I was completely ghosted by the team — no replies or acknowledgment at all.
IQPC certainly puts on large-scale events, but their speaker management and communication processes need significant improvement. As a non-paid speaker, and for what they charge the audience, the least I expected was timely responses and basic professionalism. I hope they address these issues, as such unresponsiveness detracts from the overall value they aim to deliver.
