First, I want to start with our tour coordinator, Nuala Sheedy of Irish Tourism. Nuala listened to what we thought we would want to see and made sure that many of our wishes and hopes were incorporated within the tour we chose. She did not disappoint us! In Addition, Irish Tourism provides a no fuss no worries travel itinerary. Everything is clearly mapped out with clear and concise directions. We opted for a 12-day rail tour which included Cork, Killarney, Galway, Dublin, and Belfast. We arrived in Dublin the first day and got right on a train to Cork. We were met at Dublin airport by John Lamm and driven to Heuston railroad station. Irish Tourism truly knows and understands the importance of first impressions and John Lamm is the perfect choice to meet you and introduce you to Dublin and Ireland. My only regret is that we did not have more time to spend with and learn from him. Irish Rail is amazing. The reserved comfortable seating & the ability to purchase snacks onboard was great. The Trainmen ensured our comfort and enjoyinment of our trip. Upon arriving in Cork, a quick taxi ride to the historic Imperial Hotel. Check in was easy and although our room was not quite ready, they sat us in the beautiful Fredrick Douglas lounge where we ordered our first pot of tea and scones. Once we settled into our spectacular room, we walked all around pedestrian friendly downtown Cork. We Had our first taste of Irish Fish and Chips at the Clancy Pub which is the oldest Pub in Cork. The next morning, we took a prearranged tour to Blarney, Blarney Castle, Fort Charlesworth, Kinsale and Cobh. Simply amazing countryside and cityscapes. The following morning, we traveled by rail to Killarney to the International Hotel. Another historic hotel with spectacular accommodations. We were right across the street from Killarney National Park with opportunity to ride in horse drawn buggy's or just walk around and smell the wonderful fragrance of wild Irish garlic. While in Killarney we took two tours, one to the Ring of Kerry and one to the Dingle peninsula. One of our favorites in the Ring of Kerry was to watch how Border Collies herd sheep. An amazing demonstration and a must-see for all. On Dingle peninsula, we met a local dog who is famous for sitting on a burro and posing for pictures, saw amazing cliffs and coastlines and had a delicious lunch in the Dingle Bay Hotel with a dessert of ice cream at Murphy's, a tradition for all who visit. The next morning there was a private car chauffeured by Michael to Galway with stops in Adare and Bunratty/Bunratty Castle, both of which were amazing and well worth the time spent. Once in Galway we stayed at the Hyde Hotel, another Historic hotel in the middle of downtown Galway. The restaurant in the "Hyde", Jekyll, is a seriously spectacular restaurant. Reasonably priced with incredible decor, service and amazing food. Their pizza is a must try and that's coming from a Brooklyn NY born pizza snob. Galway is also very pedestrian friendly and lots of fun to walk around and explore the shops and dining. We took a tour to the Aran Islands Inis Mor. This was our favorite place to visit on the trip. Inis Mor has a population of approximately 800 and our tour guide, Bertie Mullen Kilronan was so much fun. He took us to see so much and truly experience the lifestyle of the Inis Mor residents. While in Galway we did our own pub crawl and enjoyed dining which was very convenient and delicious. From Galway we traveled back to Dublin for a quick overnight in the Spectacular Camden Court hotel. We treated ourselves to another pub crawl, browsed "The Last Bookshop" and totally enjoyed the pedestrian friendliness of Dublin. We ate in the Bleeding Horse Pub and off the next morning to Belfast and the Titanic Hotel which is in the Titanic Quarter. We did hop on hop off bus touring throughout all of Belfast visiting the murals and the peace wall which I did get to sign; a bucketlist item. We toured the Titanic Museum and the SS Nomadic. Truly a sobering historical accounting of the events surrounding the Titanic. After two amazing days in Belfast, we went back to Dublin for the last two days of our tour. Again, hop on hop off bus tours, tour of the Guinness Warehouse, upper and lower Camden Court, amazing dining experiences and just lots of fun at our own pace. We toured numerous castles, The Royal Botanic Gardens and many churches throughout our 12-day rail tour. Irish Tourism Structured our trip so that we had many choices and opportunities to pick and choose what we wanted to participate in and what we wanted to opt out of. We were so busy by our own choice and could not wait to get to the next event on our itinerary. Again, Many thanks to Nuala Sheedy and all of the folks at Irish Tourism that made our trip one that we will never forget.
Irish Tourism made the logistics of our trip easy and gave us great suggestions for site seeing. We had the comfort of knowing there was someone we could reach out to if we had any complications.
Irish tourism was the perfect help in planning our Ireland vacation. Our trip was smooth and wonderful. Look forward to our next adventure
the plan for the trip at B & B's and the places we saw.
The ease of setting up the trip and helpful advice we recieved
Nuala was helpful every step of the way. She responded to my emails in a timely manner, and somehow managed to be friendly - even over email.
Maria did a fabulous job helping me plan my 10 days in Ireland. I ended up doing a self driving tour and it could not have been more perfect. The hotels were great but Ballyseede castle was spectacular. Maria put together an itinerary that was so helpful with suggestions of different sites to see. But I have to say driving around and getting “lost” on the country roads was my favorite part of the trip. Thank you so much Maria for making this a dream vacation. I highly recommend Irish tourism if you’re planning a trip to Ireland.
Very friendly representative, and an excellent trip! The hotels were high quality, and all of the trains and other tickets were simple to use. The tours were all high quality as well. A very good package all around!
Maria at the Irish Tourism was great to work with and helped me plan all of the logistics. The hotels were great too! I would highly recommend this service to anyone visiting Ireland.
Linda from Irish Tourism is an absolute treasure! From the moment we started planning, she went above and beyond to ensure our dream trip to Ireland was nothing short of magical. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged—luxurious 5-star hotels, unique stays, and even an unforgettable night in a castle! Visiting Ireland has always been a lifelong dream, and thanks to Linda and Irish Tourism, it became a beautiful reality. I can’t recommend Linda highly enough—give her a call and let her create the Irish adventure of a lifetime for you!
Niamh did an awesome job of booking our car and some lovely hotels in strategic spots on the Wild Atlantic Way. Great service. Even contacted us to let us know of some road works.
I wanted to take my wife to Ireland for her birthday! They were so helpful in planning and putting together a wonderful tour of the south west. Everything was so smooth from rental car to lodging. Linda was outstanding! All of the hotels and meals were outstanding! They gave us the perfect taste of Ireland! We highly recommend this for anyone who wants to be on their own timetable each day!
In 2022 we used Irish Tourism agency to help us with our trip. Stephanie was so kind that we knew that we would want to choose them again.
This year Niamh was our agent. She was so wonderful, too. She made sure that our family vacation was everything we expected and more. She was very understanding and flexible. We were able to change our plans from having 5 people to 6, and she made us feel that it was no bother at all.
All of the accommodations were perfect.
We were able to make many wonderful memories.
The hotel was very convenient to shopping and places of interest and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The food on the tour was abundant and delicious. Our guide, Anne Marie, was very helpful and knowledgeable. The planned events were varied and interesting.
Niamh and IrishTourism.com made our trip very easy to plan and gave us an outstanding itinerary. It was thoughtful, appropriate and tailored to our interests in addition to being very cost effective. They were always available for questions and gave accurate and prompt responses. Niamh went above and beyond. I have used two other high-end travel agencies in the last year and this trip was the best planning experience.
Me and my husband used Irish Tourism to plane our honeymoon to Ireland. Linda was absolutely amazing during the entire process. She answered any questions we had and provided an itinerary that made us being able to see things we may have never known about going on our own. She made the booking process so easy.
We had such a great time! We did the train trip, starting in Dublin, then Killarney, Galway and back to Dublin. The itineraries were great, perfect amount of things to do as we didn't want more than the package we chose. While limiting, there are always other trips! I am very much a detail person and all the etickets, information and itinerary print outs were super helpful. Everything was smooth and we just happen to have a week of incredible weather - mostly blue skies throughout! The hotels were great too. While we love taking the train, it was really special to have a private driver from Killarney to Galway, thank you for suggesting it.
My husband and I had the ease, comfort and good fortune to meet Linda Larkin of Irish Tourism and work with her to plan our memorable trip on the Wild Atlantic Way. She was informed, consistently responsible and very professional throughout the time (May to Dec of 2024) we worked with her. Her communication was clear, immediate, warm and welcoming and her problem solving ability was most impressive and appreciated. She made our travel rewarding and reassuring and went above and beyond to let us know about local eateries in all of the counties that we visited. We would heartily recommend Linda Larkin for folks doing a self-drive tour in Ireland. We would also most definitely encourage a trip on the Wild Atlantic Way with Linda as a reassuring presence in the background on an adventure such as this. Thank you for your attentiveness and fine work, Linda. Maureen and Wayne Godfrey
My wife and I were taking a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Ireland. Never having been there, we needed help putting together the ideal vacation. IrishTourism, and especially Stephanie, were amazing! Stephanie asked lots of questions to find out how she could make our trip amazing, and then put together the perfect package. She took care of every detail of the trip, even making adjustments to the dates because I forgot about pre-existing plans! All of the places in which we stayed were really nice and the itinerary gave a lot of great information and suggestions. Would most definitely recommend IrishTourism for your next trip to Ireland!
Great Trip!!! Nuala Sheedy did an excellent job coordinating with us to adjust the trip to meet our needs. We had flights previously booked and she adjusted everything to make it work with them. She was also very helpful in suggesting places to visit along the trip. It was great working with her on a trip we will always remember!
Our tour contact, Stephanie, was just fabulous. Ready to meet our every need, including booking us in great hotels as well as in the one place I requested. I have used Irish Tourism before, and I was very happy with them, thus booking again through them. If I go to Ireland again, I will again book with Stephanie and Irish Tourism.
Having traveled to Ireland previously doing a self drive, this tour was greatly improved with driver Kenny O'Neill. He was very knowledgeable and was able to take us to out of the way spots, we wouldn't have known about. If there were more than 5 stars, I would used more.
