We cannot thank J Edwards Funeral Directors enough for the care and compassion they showed us when arranging my mum’s funeral.

From the very beginning, Cara looked after my brother and me with such kindness, sincerity and understanding at an incredibly difficult time. She was calm, caring and compassionate throughout, keeping us informed every step of the way while giving us the space and time we needed to make decisions.

Cara always made sure we knew where Mum was and what would happen next, which gave us great reassurance at a very emotional time.

The whole team provided a truly caring and professional service, and we would have no hesitation in recommending J Edwards Funeral Directors. We are extremely grateful for everything they did for us and for Mum.

Cara, within the office, seems to go out of her way to make sure everything is exactly as you want it to be. John on the day of the funeral was lovely, friendly and again made the day, just as it was required.
All in all a great help when you need it most.

I would like to publicly share my appreciation and respect for Alan, a true gentleman who possesses exceptional integrity and empathy. My father found you years before his departure from this world and that was good enough for me. The positive and mutual regard he exhibited for my father was second to none, he is a gentleman who is true to himself and strives to maintain the wishes of those deceased amongst the emotional torment of the living.
He is a man who I could quite happily sit down with and put the world to right.
In a world that is often not all as it seems, Alan is the epitome of genuineness.
Furthermore, he does not suffer fools gladly.
His adoration for his own family was clear as he spoke of his father in law John’s DIY legacies . Additionally, the praise he expressed for his staff can be commended,. Lest We Forget.

Cara and her team were caring, sensitive and helpful. We were able to include some personal artifacts in the coffin. We requested a celebrant who could pull something out of very little and Janice did just that. The overall experience on the day came together brilliantly and the family felt that the send off was as good as it could be. Thank you.

Cara was always understanding, helpful, considerate, attentive and gave full guidance. She was a great relief to me, as I had never had to deal with a funeral before. Nothing was too much trouble. The appointed vicar Janice produced a very skilful use of words for the eulogy. Everything went smoothly and professionally on the day. Would highly recommend this company to anybody.

In a very upsetting time everyone i spoke to were excellent. Cara couldnt have done any more, what a lovely caring person. Everyone down to the car driver were excellent.my family have used edwards since 1975 abd will continue to do so.

When my step father died suddenly we came upon J Edwards purely by chance. And I can say with all honesty when you asked how our experience was. Is that is was just what we needed. CARA is worth her weight in gold and then some.
So friendly understanding and willing to do what felt above and beyond. Helping us with advice as we had never done this before she gave us all the information that we could ever need. She’s an absolute credit to the branch.

J Edwards (Waterlooville) and especially Cara provided excellent service to me and my family throughout. I had to arrange the funeral from a long way away but communication was smooth both in person and over the phone. Every detail was explained and we were dealt with with care and compassion as was my dad who had passed. Paula and Jonty (?) on the day were amazing and patient and everything went as planned. Flowers were beautiful and every detail was catered for. Would recommend.
