I was very disappointed to learn two weeks after I started the program that this is NOT an at your own pace program! There's a maximum number of tests you can take per week, extending the program months longer than necessary. I was not told of this until after the 5 day withdrawal period had passed.

I have had 2 children graduated with James madison, now my husband has 4 classes left, i am very happy with this program and glad we found it! Thank you James madison!

My mother recently died in November and I called to cancel the program and now I am being harassed by them for something that I cannot pay. I explained this and they are calling me and harassing me after learning my mother died. Do not attend this school unless you want to be harrassed daily.

I'd give them zero stars if I could! I enrolled my son with them because we moved to a place that I did not like the public school district, we moved back to where the public school is good, so I wanted to put my son back in public school. I called them well before school started, the beginning of August, to get his transcripts. I was told to cancel his subscription and pay the remaining balance and then call back and order them. I did this. When I called back to order them they told me I had to do so through their student portal. When I tried it kept telling me academic hold. So I called back and they said I could no longer do it from there because his subscription was canceled. They told me to go on parchment.com I did this and parchment.com said I couldn only do this through the student portal. So I called back was told that's the only way they can do it because they don't order transcripts. She was very rude and hateful. So I hung up and called again talked to another person and she said she'd get them ordered it would take 5-10 business days. Those days came and went. I called again, it is now September, they kept giving me the run around. Finally on a Monday they said I'd have them within 2 business days Wednesday came and went I did not get them. So I called Thursday morning and she said she does not know why I was told 2 days it will be more like 5-10 business days, but that she talked to her leader or whatever and they were going to expedite it but she could not give me a time frame as to when I'd receive them, but to call back the beginning of next week to check on them. A load of crap! I have been going at this for almost 2 months and needless to say I STILL DON'T HAVE THEM!! WHAT A BIG FAT JOKE, BUT NOT A FUNNY ONE! My son is getting behind in school because of you incompetent morons!!! Never will I recommend this program to anybody! I used to but nope not anymore!

I'm having trouble getting into my school, is their a reason why it says runtime error, when I try to sign in? It won't let me even go to my dashboard. Please let me know, immediately, why this issue is taking place. Thank you in advance.

I graduated earlier this year and have been accepted to one community College(CCCC) and one 4 year college (Campbell University) I chose to attend Campbell University and will begin classes in September. Still waiting to hear from financial aid. But it's official.

I have been enrolled 4 years working at my own pace while juggling my family life I’m a back to school mother and wife and I love how I can work at my own pace! I can’t say I have had any of these terrible experiences these people are talking about. My work is always graded within 7 days and I have never had a problem opening courses. I am finally at the end and am so close to graduating with only two courses left, I will update to let you know my final experience with JMHS.

i was trying to redue my quiz they never answered what my next step should be neither did they give me a good advice and now that I read that the diploma is not worth it I can say that this is by far a waist of money and a big disappointed to me the worst service.

My son likes it and I like the dashboard to easily check on his grades and progress.

I’ve called the school directly, however they appear to be closed today or maybe all together due to COVID. So I’ve submitted a ticket through my account that reads as follows:

I logged back in to see if I could get caught up on my past due balance...and I was surprised as well as completely baffled to see a notice threatening to send me to collections for the full amount of the tuition from these services. I am looking into filing a complaint because I just can not see how an adult can come here to further or complete there education, get struck by a global financial hardship, and in the mist of wanting to better their future instead have an online school program threaten me with collections to damage my credit. This program is obviously a scam and I am going to do my best to make this public so that no one else encounters this situation before knowing the risk. This is so ridiculous and very wrong. How can this program damage a persons credit to collect money that it is not even owed. My account has been suspended. I can see wanting to collect the amount leading up to my account suspension, but a FULL TUITION BALANCE???? This is completely unacceptable. I am going to seek legal counsel and find out any rights that I have to dispute this corrupt program.

For those reading this: the school charges you monthly....low as $35.00 a month....you can only work on two lessons at a time(yet the claim it’s self paced). There’s no reason they should be after me for a full tuition of a round $2000.00.

As far as having "trouble" getting accepted into a college. I'm enrolled fine, they had no questions or suspicion about my diploma. I can honestly say, I really miss James Madison. I loved their layout and course fluidity. I can honestly say I hate the course layout that my current college is using. I'm so used to James Madison's layout and how easy it was. James Madison helped me so much with my high school years. I wouldn't have gotten where I am today without the program. The best program I could have ever been a part of.

First off, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYONE. SUCH HORRIBLE SERVICE ! I am beyond upset with their service. Recently I withdrew my daughter out of this school because I didn't like how they don't offer advanced classes ANNND because this scam school doesn't go by grades ! I was going to enroll my daughter in WAYYY better school so I requested my daughters transcripts, I told them to send her transcripts by email, that way I would receive them faster. They told me and I quote "The estimated time it'll take to send them is 2-3 days." 2-3 DAYS, JUST TO SEND AN EMAIL ? Unfortunately I had to wait and I still NEVER received my daughter's transcripts. I called once again and they told me the EXACT SAME THING . I then again waited and I still NEVER GOT THEM ! What a shame. I called again for the very last time and they said they supposedly "sent them". I still have NOT received my daughters transcripts. They just wasted my time, how hard is it just to send a transcript ? ALSO, their waiting time is ridiculous, this school had me waiting so many times, every time I spoke to someone for help they seemed as if they didn't know CRAP. This school is a total scam. They only care about YOUR MONEY, nothing else. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYONE !!

If I could give a zero I would. This school does not inform you that your child credits does not transfer over. My son was doing assignments that he didn’t even need o finish school. Then they force you to pay the remaining balance to get a transcript. They are scammers and I advise you not to use them if you have already attended a school prior to attending them bc they do not use your child’s previous transcript to determine what your child needs to graduate. I will never use them ever again. They withheld this information when signing him up for this program only for there financial gain. I am totally dissatisfied and will not recommend them to a fly.

To the comment that read: the diploma is not accepted by colleges or the military...NOT TRUE. I was accepted into the Navy, The Army, and The Air Force with my diploma and served 10 years. I was also accepted into major Universities both state, private, and community college.

I signed up to take a class and paid, never heard from them again. None of my login info works. Try resetting password? Doesn't work. I tried sending a reset link to my email. They never send it. I called their 'help line'. There were no humans to talk to. This is without a doubt a scam. It's not just money that I lost. I was planning my whole high school math path around taking pre calculus this summer. Now I'll have to take it at school and I'll never be able to take calc BC. I'm super upset.

I Took my final exam in math and showed my work in the doc I was sent, to my suprise I made a 10, and it’s because I didn’t show my HAND WRITTEN PROOF. This is a poor excuse for a school and garbage like this has been happening to me since I was enrolled.

Terrible. I joined in June, the courses take forever to close, it s hard to get in touch with teachers and when you do they are often rude or unhelpful. I have had a terrible experience with this school. I was supposed to graduate This June a year from when i started but i didn't, they held me back by never getting back to me of closing my courses when i needed them to. Seems like they just want another annual pay check out of my folks. If you are looking for a good online high school for your kids i would not recommend this one. It may be cheap but you get what you pay for. Invest in a real education for your kids.

The Online High School is a SCAM! Do NOT register with them! I called them to ask some questions and they quickly asked for my card number and registered my son. Then they asked me to send my son's transcripts and we sent them. My son has completed his high school up to grade 11 at a physical high school and he wanted to do his 12th grade online. So they registered him in grade 12. Then, when his profile was activated, we noticed that he is required to do his 9th, 10th, and 11th grades again, although my son has been a high achiever and got A all throughout his school!

We asked them to remove 9, 10, 11 grades courses and they said sorry we cannot! Then I cancelled his registration because they look to have a really ridiculous system of education. Then, I asked for cancellation and refund, but they are asking for cancellation fee although my son has done nothing yet with this school and we have already paid so much money to them! SCAM! They probably know that no one in his right mind would stay with their stupid system and they are making money out of registration and cancellation fees!
