I had to make a panic order for some oil on Friday at 16:45, as unbeknown to me my watchmen meter had packed it in, leaving me with no oil in the tank. We had snow on Friday (yes, I live in Scotland!) and I paid for earliest available delivery - thinking (and hoping) that meant Monday. I accepted it was going to be a VERY cold weekend, but… Chic to the rescue!!! Just got my delivery and the radiators are on full blast! Chic was so lovely and genuinely seemed to care that I’d ran out. He was able to give me some really usefully tips on how to monitor and manage my oil consumption, and was just an awesome dude. THANK YOU CHIC!!

Very unhelpful person on telephone who refused to answer simple questions

Bit of a scam. Previously happy but. Now unhelpful staff. Weird delivery prices. If you choose the longest delivery they will wait until the last day even though they could deliver before. Says 10 day but leaves out weekends even though previously delivered on weekends. Will try to charge you a higher unit price for oil to deliver sooner even if they’ve been in the area. won’t use again. Very unhelpful customer service.

After previously using Johnston oils on a few occasions I called them again to come deliver oil I paid and was told delivery would be 3/5 days fabulous, received a email the next day to day delivery would be next day i was out most of that day got home to no delivery note so rang the next morning to chase delivery was told road was to busy to deliver so would reschedule! Rang again a week later as still waiting oh yes sorry will be day after tomorrow! Again no oil so again ring to be told we can't deliver to you as you live on a busy road and its to dangerous!!! Well in that case how come you've delivered to us previously no problems and how come you delivered to previous couple in house no problems?? No apology for all the delays or anything terrible service so went else where and delivered next day absolutely no problems!

Second time have bought oil from johnston oils however, no date or time of delivery given. Went out shopping and when we came back found that johnston oils had been and had smashed new lid on oil cover. No note left saying that they had damaged my oil cover or apologies. Phoned office and driver denied damaging lid cover and again no apologies. Johnson oils were the only ones on the day who had accessed my garden to get to the oil tank yet in total denial. Sent them some photos of the damage but again no apologies or compo. Would never again used this company who come onto your property and cause damage.

These guys are a breath of fresh air. I used to buy my bulk LPG from Calor Gas and their customer service was dreadful and I was paying over the odds for my gas. I have been with JGas for over 4 years and their customer service is excellent. They are very transparent in how they operate and I'm always able to talk to someone about my account. They are friendly, informative and I genuinely get the sense that they truly care about their customers and retaining them, which in this day and age is hard to come across in an energy supplier. I can't fault them. I hope as they grow they are able to maintain their high levels of customer service and flexibility.
