Disrespectful Cold Calls - Pushes Boundaries
We recently received a call from a representative at JoinBeagle regarding their renters insurance compliance service, and the experience was unprofessional from start to finish.
The caller asked to speak with our Property Manager and would not provide any information about the purpose of the call, despite being asked multiple times. He insisted that she needed to call him back, rather than allowing anyone else to assist or explaining the reason for the call.
He repeatedly stated that it was “not a sales call” and that their services are free, but ultimately confirmed it was related to their business. The approach felt misleading and unnecessarily evasive.
After I explained that we work through a property management company and cannot engage with vendors or services that have not been vetted through their process, he continued to push for information and attempted to work around that policy.
Additionally, once he learned I was an Assistant Manager, he stated multiple times that I should have led with that, implying that speaking with someone in another role was not worth his time.
Overall, the interaction was overly aggressive, dismissive, and not respectful of standard business practices or boundaries. Based on this experience, I would not recommend engaging with this company.
