How can you make it better with me?

The connection I had with my provider was in and out, the quality of the wifi/Internet made me question the validity of the company.
The call was dropped several times.
I had to leave the call as well, the woman assisting me would speak over me during times of silence/my turn. I didn't feel helped.

The call was stressful and I took time off for work for this call. I cried after the phone call lol. All good now.

This was only one interaction but pretty impactful for me questioning the validity of the business.

Worked for me! Easy, hands off, convenient

The low dose ketamine treatment really helped me to think about things differently and get out of a rut. Communication was minimal, which I liked, but there when I needed it.

I didn't use any of the portal/supplementary resources because I have my own supports that I use, so I can't speak to those. But the actual medicine did exactly what I needed it to and was the whole process was very user friendly.

*Horrendous

The (+)s:

-Ketamine itself is a wonderful substance that helps most people who are feeling stuck.
-This service is cheap. Assuming you receive the product/service advertised.

The horror:

The service/care itself is so negligent that this can safely be called a scam.

TL;DR, I was approved for treatment, told I just needed to upload a medical clearance form, which I was told could be completed by a therapist, given that I was no longer seeing a psychiatrist.

I see that the form is asking for a psychiatrist's signature and license #, so I again ask for confirmation that a therapist can complete this. They confirm that that's fine. But my therapist feels uncomfortable completing the form, understandably, given he's not an MD.

I tell them about this, and they say a letter from the therapist can be substituted, given (very rightly so) that the medical clearance form's language is explicitly for a psychiatrist.

So my therapist writes a letter, I upload it, and I'm texted again saying that actually a letter is not an option, and that I need a psychiatrist to fill out the form after all.

Mind you, this is all over text, as there is no option to talk to a live human. So to get clarity on what's going on, I schedule a follow-up visit to talk to a nurse practitioner. Eventually, she tells me that I do indeed need a psychiatrist to fill out the form. I say, okay, let me contact my old psychiatrist to see if they are willing to fill it out. She agrees.

MOMENTS LATER, I get a TEXT saying "After careful consideration, your provider determined that our treatment isn't the right fit for you at this time" along with some AI pseudo-compassion slop text surrounding it ("You deserve care that meets your needs").

YOU'VE ALREADY APPROVED ME AND *I'VE PAID*. YET I NEVER RECEIVED ANY MEDICATION/TREATMENT.

I'm trying to get my money back, but no luck so far.

Absolutely no customer service, only bots

So after waiting weeks to get an appointment with the Joyous "Care Team", today was finally the day. At the meeting time I hit the link and immediately got an error message. Then I got a phone call from a bot named Ellie who told me she was a human being. She sent me another link that led to the same error message. the future is here and believe me it's no fun.

what a scam

I was feeling very hopeful. I hope someone gets to read this before they delete it. This company is about making money, not helping you. I've been on 15mg for 3 weeks. You can't get any help. Support teams just push you around. You can't get a refund or cancel the three months that they have you sign up for. If you read up on Ketamine, taking it orally, you only get a small percentage bioavailable. You'll never have that real reset with your brain. You have to do IV for that. If you can ever get to a therapeutic dose with this company. It feels like that's their ploy to not allow the correct dose, so you just keep paying and receive no health benefits. I've been to the BBC to report this company.

thieving scamming company

thieving scamming company. can’t see the irony in the amount of stress and agony they are causing me…. holy Christ!!!! ordered in December 2025, couldn't finish the prescription because it was making things worse. Cancelled. Nothing shipped again, email support cuts off and they stop responding after they say they will cancel you. No product rendered. No service rendered. 4 months later they're still charging my card every goddamn month. Can't get them to stop. Borderline harasement! STAY AWAY DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR BUSINESS!!!

The therapy was very helpful for me. The practitioners I spoke with were all very kind, thoughtful, and helpful. The treatment helped me to work through my anxiety andn depression and has alowed me to get to a much happier and calmer state of mind to where I know I can continue on my own.

Joyous Theft and AI Support Team.

Joyous is a great program that has significantly improved my mental health. However, Their customer service is so poor when something goes wrong it borders on theft. I'm pretty sure its entirely run by AI.

I recently had a shipment returned to sender (joyous) by USPS because they repeatedly failed to deliver it to my house. I have made about 15 attempts to reach out to the joyous customer service line (they have no phone, just a text and an online 'case' interface) and have only received incoherent AI responses telling me that my march delivery was made successfully no matter how many times I attempted to clarify that I was discussing February. On one singular occassion I was informed that once joyous received the medication that was returned to them they would redeliver it. Since that has happened it has been radio silence from Joyous.

My last resort is to leave this review because I feel that joyous has stolen my money. This is the second time I have paid for the medication and have not received it. Joyous is STEALING. Please someone if you have experience navigating this I would love to know what you did. And joyous, if you have a human reading this please send me my medication I paid you for!

At this point joyous has faile

NO client care or support if needed. Can’t get in touch with anyone.

Very unfortunate. Got through one month and actually felt a difference, or was beginning to. I didn’t go through it faster than the “monthly payment” and by the time I was ready I had to make another one without receiving the second prescription. I paid for it almost two weeks ago and have been trying to contact someone since Monday. They send me four texts a day reminding me the dosages and the check ins but won’t call me. How is that client care?????? For mental health?????? UNBELIEVABLE HONESTLY

Ketamine

I only tried this because my PCP knew I needed help, she said I wasn't coping at all, that I just had no way to cope. C-PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, pain attacks, chronic stress, chronic fatigue, chronic insomnia, Celiac disease. I tried to find inpatient mental health care that is Celiac safe, there aren't any. So I saw this and thought why not? Nothing else was working, my PCP didn't seem to care. I wish I had read the reviews and complaints. IT'S A SCAM!! They won't send my refill, it's been 6 days now, Over 111 complaints to BBB!
Scammers are horrible people, but messing with someone's mental health IS A NEW LOW!
You have no way to talk to a person, it's emails and texts.

I like the treatment however I may…

I like the treatment however I may switch to spravato because they supposedly keep track of how much medication you have the mail it out, well I have run out of medication. I’ve been texting for days, missing work, how can they just let you run out of medication? And they just keep saying we are working on it.

Joyous=awful. Ketamine therapy=wonderful

Ketamine therapy has been wonderful. Joyous as the prescriber is awful. They let me run out of meds every single month so far. Customer service is non existent. They have no urgency and truly do not care about you or your wellbeing. There are better options out there and I highly recommend using anyone else. Joyous cares only about their profits.

Efficient, effective, and low cost

The onboarding process was straightforward and fast. I felt confident that they had determined my health and the prescriptions I was taking would permit me to try low dose ketamine therapy. I enjoyed talking to both of the joyous medical professionals I spoke to at the outset, and I spoke to the same nurse practitioner during my first month's check-in. Additionally, I responded to all the text prompts and never had any problem with feedback from the company, from a human, or getting my refill processed. Additionally, when I got exceptionally slow delivery of my first prescription dose, and brought it to their attention via their normal email or text channels, joyous refunded part of the first month's fee. The ketamine itself was definitely effective at the doses prescribed, and even at 15 mg I felt my uptightness recede into the background in a way no other medication or drug has accomplished. And stopping the subscription was equally easy, if you follow the instructions on the joyous website. I am taking a break because I don't like taking any medication for too long and I want to be certain, by stopping taking it now and comparing as best I can, whether I should continue taking low dose ketamine. I found the company to be great and wonder what might cause people to leave negative reviews.

Life-changing medication; soul crushing customer service

The medication is truly life-changing, even life-saving. I took it daily for 2.5 years and it completely changed me for the better. But their customer service is truly horrendous, especially since they recently went "all in" with AI. Shipments go to wrong addresses and yet you can't reach anyone. All you get is AI-generated slop that does nothing. There is no real support community either. It's not a scam, they are just highly dysfunctional and they don't seem to care.

Joyous changed my life

Treatment with joyous brought me out of a dark place and thru some really hard times. The staff has been wonderful and attentive and always there for me. This has been a wonderful experience.

The Customer Service is SO bad ...

The Customer Service is SO bad it removes any benefit you gain from the product itself.
You will NEVER see a “therapist” more than once, the turnover is apparently pretty high.
You will never get an actual answer to a question or concern. They will continually respond with “we have escalated your request” without EVER addressing the problem.
It’s really sad because the product works but the Customer Service is SO bad that I just gave up.
No Company or people you are paying for to aid in mental health should be this frustrating or just down right dismissive and uncaring.
