The communal areas in the block of flats haven't been cleaned in over 1 year. I've sent numerous complaints and Just Ask sent so called photos of their cleaning of our block of flats. The photos they sent my housing association was of a completely different block of flats... surely this is some kind of fraud? They are a complete joke. When I complained they just implied I was lying to get money from them.

absolut useless company to clean and maintain.They just come in the building,sign the register and leave.They like to hang around outside in van,smoking,using their phones.No work done,building filthy and paying £70 for this shamble a month.Thinking to just stop paying service charge,ring camera records no work done at all.How can they get away with it???????

I was contacted by an agency last September who stated Just Ask were a fantastic employer and as I was between jobs I checked out their website. It states that their employees are their greatest asset and that was enough for me lol.
As a former employee working on the BPHA grounds maintenance contract in Bedford I can state categorically that their greatest assets are a total disregard for the health and safety of their employees and the public followed closely by a talent for contracted theft, a disregard for morals, honour and honesty.

When I started working for them no training or adequate PPE was supplied despite regular requests and complaints. PPE is supplied based on cost rather than suitability for the task ( I don't believe their HSQE has ever been to a grounds maintenance site with discarded syringes so wouldn't understand the need for puncture resistant boots), I ended up having to involuntarily contribute £516 for PPE to do the job safely, of which they have agreed to repay £61, although they keep delaying when I will actually get the money back.

During my second week one of their employees negligently cut through my trousers and my iPhone when starting a hedge cutter without warning. After 4 months of complaints they did finally "investigate" but stated that because I was employed via an agency it was nothing to do with them and if I was employed directly my personal property was my own responsibility whilst onsite and therefore it was still nothing to do with them, nothing was mentioned regarding the health and safety aspects of my complaint.

It's a shame they don't invest any money in the welfare of their staff.

Take the proverbial these guys. They are STEALING money off people for services they DONT provide. Employed by fellow cowboys Hyde Housing they come and sit in their vans for an hour. Then they get out and take a picture of the grounds they did nothing to and leave. Meanwhile residents are charged £150 a month. They are here now. It’s minus 4 degrees. The ground is frozen solid. The land they are supposed to maintain is a tiny patch of grass outside a block of flats. Cowboys and thieves.

Ex employee. Toxic working environment. Worked extremely hard which was not recognised. Workload was off the scale, whilst other team members sat on their phones or fell asleep! Management from all departments are very unprofessional. Horrific pay - avoid at all costs. Worst company I have worked for

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible.
Operatives are just driving in to sign the register in our Notting Hill Genesis estate to say they are in. They've done absolutely no cleaning whatsoever, no cleaning. That's a fraud, falsifying document to say you've done the job and you didn't. Shame on NottingHill Genesis and Just Ask, you are dishing out residence payment for job not done.

Have no respect for the people that live within the properties that have the communal areas which they are meant to clean!.
Leaving chemicals in communal areas whiles going for constant cigarette breaks and sitting in their van- lucky enough my children know right from wrong and wont touch it! , lets not leave out throwing their cigarette ends on the floor ! Very professional, NOT

They turn up and do nothing to clean the flats in Hinckley, the stairs haven't been hoovered or windows doors cleaned in a long time, they even stepped in dog mess and trampled it into the lobby. They sign the paper work with a signature of a one year old. Absolutely terrible service.

Cut grass yesterday (6th November) , 1st time since 26th September. Used ride on mower on 70 square feet areas. Carved up grass, edges left long, cut over litter and clumps of chewed up grass left on paved areas. Health & safety non existent. Cleaning team just as bad. They claim every visit on job sheet to have swept, dusted & mopped our lift, but we don't have a lift. Nobody will speak or respond when asked. Avoid their services.

Paying for a service we are not recieving. Complaint after complaint gone in. Do not hire this company under any circumstances. When they turn up to site they sit in the van take photos and drive away without doing any work

Lazy workers turned up at 10am Boston lodge 190 windmill road w5 4bt.The two cleaners Spent 40mins sitting in the van smoking and 10 mins cleaning that's the joke because in that time they claimed they cleaned the two blocks of flats ie hoovered cleaned the windows washed the binroom out cleaned the car park area ie leaf blower and the children's play area. One cleaner that wears a white hat spends most of the time smoking and texting on his phone and spitting in the car park also been caught before pissing in the bushes dirty been reported but still working for the company don't use them at all cost.

Just ask cleaning and maintenance services are great in Chelmsford area espacially burgess springs . All employees are lovely and hardworking always doing the upmost to provide the cleaning and planting and waste are all looked after. Steve is a lovely man who cleans the rubbish up and general waste and Paul who does maintenance on the plants and ground and gladis who cleans I'm the flats is such a lovely cleaner I can't think of all the names but there are so many more who work on this area burgess springs in Chelmsford who bring happiness and joy and cleanliness to there work andare all so kind and friendly .grateful beyond words and you have to praise them where praising is due. They do alot trust me

they are supposed to come 14 times a year for 2 hours a time, they came 5 times last year never longer than 10 minutes. housing association charge 12 houses £25 pm and refuse to make them do landscaping properly.
twice this year for 10 minutes.

Failed to turn up for over two months and very poor standards of work!

I worked for Just ask services from 12/2012 until leaving on 07/19, Excellent company to work for , early in my service I had a medical issue, was expecting to loose my position, but the company looked after me and kept my position for , when I returned to work I was given so much support from fellow workers and management, can thank them enough. Work wise was OK. Salary could always be better, I worked alone but had regular contact with my supervisor and office staff who where great , over all OK company.

This was the worst company work for. I was working on my own for a month doing up to 12 sites a day across the whole of Berkshire and Hampshire.

We were meant to stay at each job for 2 hours and get everything they asked for done, hedge cutting, grass cutting, weeding and beds.

It was near enough impossible to get all the jobs done in one day, I had to manual handle machines out of the box on the side of the van.

I had to keep all the tools in the van and keep it around where I lived overnight. And if anything to do with the tools or van got damaged, vandalised or stolen, the money would be taken straight out of my pay check.

The ginger haired, half bald manager was rude and very inconsiderate. I got fired for not keeping up with the copious amounts of jobs I was given each day that even 2 of us wouldn't be able to get done, on my own.

Do not ever work for this company, they say you'll be working in your area then half the jobs are a 2 hour drive away!

The pay is bad, the managers are horrible and the workload is overwhelming.

From 1st April, our service charge for grounds maintenance delivered by Just Ask will be:

Just Ask - 'Contracted Works':  28,188.65
Just Ask - 'Responsive Works':   6,224.44
TOTAL: £34,413.09

When they feel like it, they turn up for a couple of hours once a fortnight and faff around pretending to be gardeners. For this pleasure, we're charged £1,323.58 per visit. And if that's not bad enough, the real insult is that we still get charged this amount - EVEN WHEN THEY DON'T TURN UP - OR IF THEY TURN UP BUT DON'T DO ANYTHING!

Just Ask's profits for year ending 31/03/2022 AFTER TAX were £1,528,760 - an increase on the previous year's profits of £784,637

Everything everyone has said about Just Ask in these posts is 100% true and accurate. DO NOT use this cowboy company who knowledge about cleaning and gardening is highly dubious - but who clearly know an awful lot about ripping people off and profiteering. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!!!

ITS A SCAM.

I was in a medical emergency and I was taken advantage of.

I needed to ask a Dr one question and it was late at night, I saw this add where you pay £5.00 to ask a question which I did.
The Dr was dumb, didn’t really know what he was talking about, stressed me out even more so that £5.00 went to waste.

A few days later I see another charge of £38.00, when I spoke to customer service Jonathan he said I signed up to a membership which I did not.

I disputed the charge and they refused to refund me saying i definitely signed up and agreed to pay £38.00 when I swear to God I didn’t.

It’s a scam, don’t fall for it
They’ll take your money
And won’t even help you.

BE AWARE that they charge £30 a month if you do not cancel your membership within a week.
You might get the answer you are looking for. In my case, I got some very ambiguous information from 'an expert'. To add insult to injury, I was unclear as to the T&Cs so consequently got stung by the monthly subscription! With hindsight, I would not have used JustAnswer and certainly will never use them again!
