Great product, bad service.

I bought a BeFree water filter (RRP £50). I love it, it's perfect for the Scottish hills as there is always water around and this makes it safe to drink. However the soft flask developed a tiny pinhole so I reached out to Katadyn who punted me to LYON (their UK distributer). It took 3 emails to get a (snippy) response which was that they don't do replacement bags and I should buy a different model of bag which was compatible. I asked about their:

If you experience any failures due to the product's manufacturing or materials, we'll repair or replace the item for free - for life. Whatever it takes for you to keep the adventure going."

However their customer service advised me that the pinhole in the bag could not directly be attributed to a manufacturing defect so they wouldn't replace it. A new bag along will be another £26 + £4.90 postage.

It appears that their guarantee doesn't stand for much and they don't value their loyal customers so I won't purchase anything else from Katadyn.

J'ai acheté chez un distributeur français un réchaud léger Optimus (marque de Katadyn, basée à Zurich). N'ayant peut-être pas suffisamment serré la valve à vis (la notice recommandait de ne pas forcer), lors de la première utilisation, une fuite s'est produite entre la cartouche et le brûleur, et la flamme a détruit celui-ci. Pour essayer de fermer le robinet, j'ai avancé ma main protégée d'un mouchoir, mais celui-ci s'est enflammé et j'ai été légèrement brûlé. Heureusement cela se passait sur le balcon, sinon j'aurais pu mettre le feu à l'appartement. Le SAV du distributeur s'est défaussé sur Katadyn. Katadyn m'a promis un réchaud de remplacement, mais, ne le recevant pas, j'ai appelé Katadyn une fois par semaine pendant deux mois, puis j'ai abandonné. A chaque fois, la commerciale, très aimable, prétendait que le réchaud avait été envoyé, mais elle n'a jamais voulu me donner de numéro de colis. Bref, on s'est moqué de moi. Pour mon réchaud, je retourne chez Camping-Gaz, dont le réchaud est certes plus lourd, mais le système de valve à clic (ouvert ou fermé, pas d'intermédiaire) plus sûr.

Descent products but seemingly nonexistent commercial support. So that's just a deal breaker for me.
