Excellent Quality . …
My key safe arrived and it was much heavier than expected. But it is quality, not cheap but it will last forever so a good investment. It took a bit of getting my head round the set up but I read the instructions a few times then did it easily. My son installed it for me, but if you are not a really confident DIY person then I would suggest getting Key safe to install it for you. I had a cheap key safe and was horrified how easily it could be broken into. My keys feel very safe now.

Arrived lightening quick and fitting is straightforward. It looks and feels like a well made product and a lot stronger than the ones we have historically used. We will leave it a little while and then plan to replace the ones we have across our properties with these, assuming nothing negative occurs.

We’ve since investigated this directly with DPD, who’ve confirmed that the delivery status was logged incorrectly after the driver returned to the depot late that evening. While that explains what happened, it doesn’t excuse it, and we agree it’s not the level of service you should receive. DPD have passed this to their depot compliance manager and have asked us to share their sincere apologies with you.
We’re sorry this caused inconvenience and frustration, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention so it can be addressed properly.

The Ark Tamo Key Safe is Excellent
A previous purchase of another key safe from another supplier had to be returned because of poor quality. This unit is well designed, easy to code, easy to install, easy to open and well worth the extra cost compared to other key safes on the market. Purchase on the website was straightforward with a quick delivery. Key illumination works well but, with no reference to battery replacement in the instruction, I wonder how long the illumination will last.

In terms of the key illumination, with normal use (up to around four openings a day) the battery is designed to last up to five years. With more frequent use, it may be shorter, but the illumination module itself is covered by a two-year warranty — so if the lights stop working during that time, we’ll happily send out a replacement free of charge. Instructions on replacing the illumination module are included in the user guide too (section 9), should you ever need them. The key safe itself is excellent very secure and well made. However, if you plan to use it for more than one key, this is not the right product for you. It only fits up to 2 individual keys, and even then you have to remove the key ring because it won’t close otherwise. If you secure a car key in the lock there isnt any room for any other key For the price, I would have expected a larger capacity key safe.

You’re absolutely right that capacity can feel limited depending on what’s being stored. Standard house keys (such as Yale or Chubb) can usually fit more comfortably when placed directly onto the hooks without keyrings, whereas car keys do take up significantly more space due to their size and shape.
The pricing reflects the high security rating and durability of the product — it currently holds the highest security rating of any mechanical key safe on the market — but we do understand that capacity is an important consideration. We’ll be sharing your feedback with our engineering team, who are already exploring options for larger-capacity key safes in future ranges.
