Identity was stolen from yet another company, this time Navia. The company that manages FSA. Its a benefit from work, not like I had a choice.
They offered 1 yr credit monitoring through Kroll. Not much information about what exactly they will do. Was not interested in spending my time putting my information yet with another company, that will just monitor. I can do that. I have credit freeze on my accounts already.
This is crazy world we now live in. Wasting my time yet again due to possible negligence of yet another company. Hope my credit does not get stolen and cause me or my wife a nightmare. Kroll seems to be a reputable company, but could be better and monitor all three credit bureaus, but they monitor only one. Also some credit fraud insurance would be nice.
Sign up was fine and here is some more info they gave me about what they offer. Hoping for the best.

BEWARE Kroll IS USELESS
I called Kroll to help me with the derogatory statement on my credit report and the representative on the phone responded as if he was doing me a favor and I had to speak to him in a certain way otherwise he wasn't going to help me. I told him what I had done so far in the steps that I had taken, he told me to do steps over again. NO HELP FROM THIS KROLL COMPANY, BEWARE-ABSOLUTELY USELESS FIRM!!
I received a Notice of Data Incident…
I received a Notice of Data Incident letter in the mail from Conduent on behalf of Kroll. The letter stated that data held at a particular medical insurance provider had been breached and that I am entitled to one year of Kroll's credit monitoring due to the breach. An activation code, verification ID, and website for me to enroll in the program was provided as well as a notice that I must enroll soon (since the offer will expire within a few months). When I went to enroll, I was asked to provide my social security number, date of birth, and other information. Uncomfortable with providing this information to a company I don't know, I tried to research Kroll so that I could verify the legitimacy of the letter however I found that to be impossible. Their website does not list a central phone number to call in the event that a "Notice of Data Incident" letter is received and, instead, instructs me to call whatever phone number is listed on the letter. When I called the number on the letter, I spoke with a nice gentleman who explained that Kroll uses a different phone number for each company that they serve and that's why they don't have a central phone number listed on their website. This is a stupid practice that exposes people to a data breach rather than protect them. If I was a scammer, I could duplicate the letter and send it out to people, inserting my own phone number and enrollment website. Afraid that this was actually a phishing attempt to obtain my personal info (ssn, dob, etc), I decided to NOT enroll in Kroll's monitoring services. A week later, my boyfriend received a similar letter from Conduent/Kroll, claiming that data was breached at a university he was not associated with, at an address he hadn't lived in for almost 20 years. I'm glad I did NOT enroll in Kroll's monitoring services and am disappointed that Kroll would have a system in place that opens people up to scammers rather than protects them.

It's taken almost a week to set up an account and as of date, it's still not set up. Unacceptable.

Incompetent company. We received a cheque from Kroll as settlement of a claim and their cheque bounced at the bank. Now chasing them for payment. Should not be allowed to trade.

Worst company EVER for credit monitoring. Code and scan offered via letter doesn’t work. Emails to web support result in zero help. Finally call into customer support and they tell me they found my code but can’t sign me up for the monitoring by phone unless I agree to receive all communication about fraud alerts | attempts via snail mail. They purposely make it impossible for you to use the free monitoring that they are paid by companies to offer. Better Business Bureau!!!
Complete joke
Complete joke! Was offered Kroll Monitoring after a breach at Allianz. 6 days, 7 calls, 15 log-ins, and in excess of 5 hours on the phone and they still cannot complete my enrollment. If possible, find another resource, this outfit provides zero comfort or benefit.
Worse than useless credit monitoring service
I received an offer for the Kroll Monitoring service because I was involved in a data breach (I believe by a rental car company). I was suspicious because the Kroll Monitoring website is very basic, but after some research I signed up. It appears legit, although I was careful to use unique credentials that could not be usefully stolen.
The service is worse than useless. It was difficult to sign up for, and is now sending alerts that I am not able to access (at the moment the site is entirely inaccessible). I am now again wondering whether the whole thing is some kind of a scam.
Kroll is a shady company
They are supposed to handle the FTX funds; however, their communication is worse than zero, and their general emails are cryptic and faulty. After months of trying, I wasn't able to claim my funds. They provide zero support on the claims platform. Kroll is a shady company, trying to get as much gain as possible from the FTX victims.

They are working with Vauld and are doing everything to slow down the process , hide facts from us, lack of transparency and help Vauld to not getting our fund back !
Useless and Unprofessional in Liquidation
Appointed as a "friendly liquidator" by the Director's of the company who went into voluntary liquidation. They subsequently ignored creditors questions and did the bare minimum to follow up with queries. Stacey Lau and Cosimo Borelli were aggressive and unprofessional on creditor calls.
How do they keep getting appointed in Bankruptcies??
It's astounding that they are selected to administer so many large bankruptcy cases. On BlockFi, they have consistently failed to provide any meaningful response to my inquiries. They sent incorrect information about case deadlines. They send me the same boilerplate response each time I ask a question, which does not address what I've asked. They are subjected to little or no oversight by the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts, which shows, as they have no urgency or interest in responding to claimants.
