Rakesh and the team were amazing. Technically brilliant, ie they delivered on what they promised and super friendly, helpful, flexible and caring. Their facility in Portsmouth is modern, clean and very comfortable.

I am very happy with the treatment I received and am more than pleased the success of the cataract operations . I am very grateful to Mr Tappin for his care and attention.

The day of the procedure, my first observation was that the treatment and attention from Dr. Mike Tappin's nurses were first-rate, putting me at ease from the get-go, and keeping me abreast throughout. Irrespective of the assurances from Dr. Tappin, I was somewhat concerned about how uncomfortable (squeamish) the procedure was but honestly, I should have heeded his assurances, the procedure took 20 minutes for both eyes and it was a breeze, I was kept informed throughout. It's been just over a week since the procedure and I can confirm Dr Tappin 'delivered' exactly what I wanted, perfect vision!!!

I had my cateract's done on the NHS & wanted to have laser surgery to correct my reading & distance. Mike recommended piggy back lenses as my eyes are very dry. Had my surgery 10 weeks ago & they have settled in very well. I can now read & do everyday things without glasses. Would highly recommend Mike Tappin & LaserVision.

Laser Vision at Prema Clinic in Portsmouth is very professional, from the office staff to the ophthalmic consultants. The office staff are very caring and respond to all questions. They are a happy crew and always spare a couple of minutes for cheery exchanges. Vicky, the ophthalmist, is very professional and friendly, and always takes time to explain procedures. Rakesh, the consultant ophthalmic surgeon, is also very professional, caring, cheery with a personable manner and gave me great confidence in his skills. He always took a moment before and after the procedures to ensure that I was comfortable with what was happening. He also on each visit explained to my husband what was being done which eased his mind. Overall I feel very happy with how I was treated at the Laser Clinic.

I was nervous to have cataract surgery, but after my consultation with Geeta and Mr Tappin I felt reassured and am now so pleased to have undergone this procedure

First time at the clinic in Portsmouth today, and to say it is stunning is an understatement. Beautifully calm, super clean and just a gorgeous environment to be treated in. The staff are courteous and helpful and free coffee(always a plus).
I was impressed from the first phone conversation through to surgery and aftercare. Refractive Lens Replacement was slightly scary to be honest, but I felt in safe hands with Rakesh. Professional, knowledgeable, friendly, informative and importantly, very experienced. To be honest, it was and is continuing to be, a hugely positive experience and I would wholeheartedly recommend him and his team to anyone considering this operation. I am absolutely thrilled with the results as have now ditched the glasses and contacts..and I have 20/20 distance vision. Exactly what I wanted. Very good saff friendly and helpful, doctor who treated me was good. Whent for treatment for eye floater one quite big ring type floater. Would say after treatment that vast majority of it has been removed with a painless quick laser treatment only a couple of small dark specks remain, but hopefully will settle down over time.

I recently underwent cataract surgery with Rakesh & Mike at Laser Vision (Prema) in Portsmouth, and I cannot find a greater way to express how life-changing this procedure has been. My sight has deteriorated rapidly over the last year due to various steroid based medications, and the improvement has been nothing short of miraculous. I can now drive again, participate in bowls, watch television and all without wearing glasses. Having been a wearer of glasses for 60 + years, I am now largely glasses free - If I could see any further, I'd be able to see the future! Not to mention I now remember just how colourful the world is! The team at Laser Vision have delivered an end to end exemplary service and I will be forever grateful. Thank you to you all, sincerely. I've recently had cataract surgery with Rakesh Jayaswal complicated by dry eyes caused by an auto immune disease. The service that I have received from Rakesh, Vicky and the team have been exceptional. Information regarding any procedure before and during the aftercare has always been important to me. Rakesh was both kind and took time to explain and answer all of my questions. Also being available for any additional questions via messaging. I was apprehensive about the surgery due to my dry eyes but should not have worried. I am now without glasses but will continue to see Rakesh for dry eyes. Thank you Rakesh and the team so much.

I have recently had Laser Eye Surgery with Rakesh at Laservision Prema Portsmouth, I was a little nervous before the treatment but I really had no need to be, the service and treatment I received from start to finish was just outstanding, they made me feel so relaxed and knew I was in safe hands, I have been back for a few check ups of which have been also just totally amazing, it has totally changed my life and I now have 20/20 vision which is something I haven't had since I was a young child, I honestly cant thank Rakesh, Kelly, Vicky and the rest of the team for such an excellent experience. I was very apprehensive about under going surgery to have my vision corrected but from the very first day Dr Tappin made me feel at ease.

I had to go for checks prior to the surgery and have had another 3 visits post surgery to ensure that everything was healing and I had no reoccurring issues.

I was advised clearly of how the procedure was going to take place, the risks, the duration and the potential recovery time.

I have a very high reflex to anything near my eyes but once I had the numbing drops I didn’t feel a thing during the whole procedure.

The op didn’t last long, there was no pain at all in any way and I now have better than perfect vision!

I am so happy and so impressed.

I was thinking of having LASIK for around a year before having the courage to book the consultation. I had done lots of research and watched tons of you tube videos!! My initial consolation with Mr Tappin was perfect. I had previously gone to a chain eye surgery company and was left feeling unsure as they had changed the location of the surgery and I wouldn’t actually meet the surgeon till the day of surgery! I couldn’t recommend Mr Tappin and Laservision enough, the day of the surgery came along and I was reassured and felt listed to. Mr Tappin even made special arrangements for my mum to sit in the waiting room with me to calm my nerves. The procedure was quick and painless and I could see immediately after! My left eye felt scratchy after a few days but that went within a week. The best decision I’ve ever made and honestly feel like I have a new lease of life! Thank you Mr Tappin and the Laservision team.

The experience was great because of the care I received from both Rakesh and all the other staff. Everything was fully explained to me and the follow up care from Rakesh on the phone the day after was very re-assuring also I was impressed be the level of follow up care at the hospital.
