This review is the experience I had. After a long search of clinics I decided to do my laser eye surgery at Eyestar . I contacted them and they answered all my questions in a very timely manner. I booked my surgery in for the 28th of January 2024 . You see on the ads that people can go touring Istanbul the next day but, sadly not all cases are like this. All staff are friendly and I have no doubt in the surgeons ability . However, I do feel I was let down by eyestar. On the Monday morning I went to get examined and was told I was not suited for the normal lasik as my cornea was to thin . However, can have no touch surgery which I believe is commonly known as PRK . This surgery is similar to the lasik however , they put contact lenses in to help the cornea recover. I was told that I will be in pain for 2 days and my recovery will be slower. So no touring Istanbul for me ! I went a head and as everyone says the surgery is done with care and no pain was felt . As soon as I got up my vision was clear . Sadly, this didn’t last long . About 30 mins later my contact lenses fell out . I felt them slide of and told one of the staff . Their comment was ‘ it’s not possible and rushed me back of a minibus. Shortly after I lost my vision completely. I was scared that something went wrong and I have been blind . About 40 mins later the vision came back thank god . 2 days after my surgery I went back and the surgeon who performed my surgery was shocked that I didn’t have contact lenses in . They put in another one and was told to take them out 4 days later . I was seeing fine and sadly when I took these lenses out my vision went worse . I struggled to read anything . When contacting eyestar explaining this I was told I was coming up to a age that I need glasses this is what properly happened. They assured me with in a month I will get my vision that I had while wearing glasses. At present I can see large texts and do feel my vision will be great once healed. However, do feel angry that I was listen to when I raised a concern. The point of this review isn’t to discourage anyone from coming here but, please be mindful some cases will not be able to go of touring Istanbul like they say. I made the mistake of coming alone don’t do that as after the surgery there is no after care like you would have in your own country.

I couldn't believe how quickly I was in and out, and the results were instantaneous. I woke up the next morning with crystal-clear vision, and it felt like a dream come true. The surgery was 5 mins each eye, 10 mins total!

Thanks to Eyestar, I can now see the world with perfect vision, free from glasses or contacts. The freedom and convenience that this surgery has given me are truly priceless. I am beyond grateful for this life-changing experience.

I had my lasik surgery in here a month ago. All went smoothly and perfect. Highly recommended for Lasik surgery.

Treat with extreme caution.

I made the recommended inquiries (I urge you to read the NHS article on Laser eye surgery) about the consultation, procedure and after care.
It was not until the end of our conversation that the sales man brought my attention back to a lengthy text he had sent earlier about cash payments for the procedure only.
This gave me pause.
I commented that I was unsure how to withdraw Euro2000 in cash from a Turkish bank and he then made some quite extraordinary remarks, suggesting I must be in Turkey illegally.
As a legitimate British expat, I was quick to assure him I was not an illegal alien.
The tone, professionalism, and casual way in which this company slanders is why this review is not positive.
You should of course treat all major surgery with caution.
