Absolutely suck! I would not recommend. It looks like they sent Ray Charles to do my yard and because there wasn’t a “shading” on their satellite diagram not showing a 3ft strip, they didn’t do it, literally right at the gate they enter the backyard through. Common sense isn’t so common and laziness these days is a cancer. NEVER hire these clowns and combine that w the FACT they don’t talk and choose to ONLY use text messaging as a means to communicate. The clown who did the work took a small pic of the area to make it look completed to the YARD GURU company and my pictures obviously showed the whole pathetic job. Im in friendswood, TX and I mowed yards from 16-22 years of age and NO WAY would I leave a yard looking like they did. OH AND ONE MORE VERY IMPORTANT THING: these goons literally said they don’t edge the sidewalks or driveways the first time and only do it the second week/visit. MAKES ZERO SENSE…… they spent about a total of 10min on the yard if that.

Hired them while I was out of town for 3 months. First provider showed up once then didn't and then quit. Next provider showed up but only cut half the yard. Posted a picture of the yard half done. Tried contacting customer service but you can't talk to anyone. Everything is done by text or email. Kept telling me to sent pictures even though they knew I was out-of-town. No field supervisor to go out and look at the property.

If I could give zero stars that’s what it would have been this place is the worse and very unprofessional had 2 guys to come out stated that I pay them through cashapp and not the lawn guru because that’s how lawn guru pay their pros well paid them and the job never got done they guys stated they would be back out due to the rain they had to wait till the next day well next day came and the job still never got done up till today the job is still incomplete but they took my money and never refunded me or came back reached out to customer service and they told me wasn’t anything they could do…BEWARE of these kind of people working for lawn guru also had a bad experience before then they charged my card and stated the pro would be out the same day well he never came out stated because I had a fence and he would have to come back never seen him till 2days later I should have took note the first time when they charged my car for service that I didn’t get till 2 days later but I thought it was just a little hiccup turns out to be that this company is who they’re seem to hire just anybody these people are scams you better beware before using these scammers!

The best thing I can say is the company responds to texts. Other than that, I’m going on 3 weeks and no one has come out to cut the lawn. They charge my card like clockwork and tell me someone is on their way. Then no one comes. Again.

The first group they sent out did actually show up. They cut down the flowers in my front garden and it’s been downhill since then. My grass is at least 6 inches, they’re taking money out which they DON’T refund, and no one shows up. Do not recommend this company at all! Taking money for work you don’t do is theft.

They ask here for dates of experience but only let you choose one. These people have been no-shows the past 3 weeks. They suck.

I noticed the "crew" didn't edge on a visit, but figured they would catch up (they'd been doing the place bi-weekly for about 3 months...decent job). Then I went away for a week, came back and they'd never shown up for next cut. Contacted Lawn Guru and despite pictures was told "you only have 48 hours to complain". Like grass will grow up to foot high tassles in a week. AVOID them I've noticed all the bad places turn off google reviews.

Guy never showed up. Paid for choose my day. Crickets after messaging him. Would not recommend!

Unspeakably bad experience

They came three days late for the first mow. Mowed 3/4 of the lawn and left. Refused to answer phone calls, texts and emails to send someone out or refund. THEN, emailed me saying my next mow was tomorrow (just four days after the first one).

Still have not refunded me or cancelled my weekly service

Started April 25 th. Cancelled June 14th. Extremely unreliable. Then cut my grass 2 days late of my scheduled day and cancelled my next week cutting because that’s their policy if it’s late. This happened twice. 11 days in between cutting. Every week they claimed weather delayed them. I wouldn’t ever use this service.

Would not recommend this company. I gave them 2 stars since I did get one cut although the provider arrived 10 hrs late. The next week he was a no show. No call, message nothing. I messaged him the next day no response. I should have read reviews first. I’m working now to cancel all services they require a two cut minimum commitment which is ridiculous with such unreliable service.

This company is borderline fraudulent. Providers will schedule lawn mowing. Ignore messages. Never show for a week. Then arrive at your home, lie. Leave without mowing and then mark your job as done and you will be charged. This happened to me over the past two weeks. Provider was scheduled for Thursday mow. Didn’t show. Ignored messages until Saturday. Then told me his phone was destroyed. Ok. Gave him the benefit of the doubt. Said he’d be there next day (Saturday). Never showed. Didn’t show Sunday. Sunday evening I messaged asking if there was another issue. No response. So I messaged telling him to cancel. I’ll find someone else. Monday afternoon he shows up at my house. Claims he never spoke to me. “Just got the job now”. He then just leaves and marks the job as completed in the app. So I am charged. Then on the receipt, provides a picture of another home that isn’t mine. So I contact support on the app. Zero help. They tell me I won’t get a full refund because the provider traveled to my home and they incurred expenses. HE SHOWED UP 5 DAYS LATE AND DID NOTHING AND FILED A FRAUDULENT RECEIPT. Do not use this company. The providers can just take pics of random homes, claiming they did the work and no matter obvious it is that they’re lying, the company will charge you anyway.

The absolute worst. Firstly, my provider immediately complained about LawnGuru when I introduced myself.
I paid a surcharge for longer grass and he raised his deck and just cut once, leaving some of the grass untouched.
He blasted a piece of napkin all over my front yard. He didn’t weedeat at all.
When I complained to support, she said they had pictures and my grass was not the 6” I claimed it was when finished. I took photos back to her showing blades of grass that are 8 and 10 inches just 3 days later.
The grass along my driveway has gone to seed. She said they don’t edge except hard surfaces. I just want the weedeating I paid for.
When I cancelled him and got a new provider, I explained my situation and he said maybe I should just cancel now and find someone else. So I did.
The truth is that LawnGuru pays so low, they use local upstart companies instead of reputable contractors. These people are mad before they even get to your lawn so don’t expect any level of pride in work.

Non existent customer service, unsure there is anyone employed for this other than automated bots. Garbage company, any self respecting person would never use.

Sloppy lawn mowing. Dumped all of the clippings in one section of my back yard.

This company is a scam. Didn't complete the work and didn't clean up. Customer service useless.

If you have a good provider through lawn guru cancel lawn guru and keep your provider. The main reason why people don’t actually do the jobs and drop them is because lawn guru is usually screwing the provider. The providers know what the job is worth yet Lawn Guru still wants to pay the service provider less than $30 dollars. They need to get more realistic with the prices or the company will go down hill. Gas is expensive now, cost of living has gone up yet they expect service providers to do a yard that’s trashed for a low price because other yards go for that much. Gtfo

I really wish that I checked the reviews before ordering lawn service. Services were supposed to be rendered within 48 hours and payment processed after services were complete...and yet here we are with no service 48 hours later and my cc has been charged...Customer service is non existent. They dont respond to calls (just a message machine), text, or "live chats." will have to go through the dispute process with CC company. Buyer beware.

The job of cutting my grass was accepted then "released" by 3 different providers. Around 15 days after I had contracted for service, a provider actually cut my lawn. They charged me an "overgrown" fee. They missed lines of grass between mower passes, didn't cut the dogyard grass AT ALL, didn't trim along the fence line, and cut AROUND a temporary tag (from TrueGreen).
Nope, not a fan.

Terrible company! I booked a scheduled appointment with lawn guru to cut my grass. They did not show up. In addition, they didn’t bother to give me a call to let me know they couldn’t make the schedule appointment. They texted me the next day and told me they were on their way to cut my grass. I had already cut my grass and told them do not to come. Most of all, they had the audacity to charge my credit card. I texted them back and told them to refund my money for a service they didn’t deliver they did not respond. I had to file a fraud claim with my credit card company to get my money back. Stay away from Lawn Guru they are a scam!

This business is a scam. Horrible customer support and people frequently no show. We even had a person scheduled to come after multiple no shows and Lawn “not a guru” cancelled the appointment after calling to ensure someone was coming. Complete runarounds. Avoid at all costs.
