Sue was absolutely fantastic and incredibly supportive throughout the session. She created such a positive and encouraging environment, which really helped me build my confidence ahead of an important interview.
Her advice was not only clear and practical, but also very accurate, we went through potential interview questions together, and I was genuinely surprised that I was asked almost exactly the same questions in my interview. Because of this, I felt calm, prepared, and able to give strong answers.
Sue has a very warm and professional approach, and you can tell she genuinely cares about helping people succeed. Her guidance made a real difference to me, and I’m very grateful for her support.
Thanks to her help, I’ve now been invited to a second interview, which I’m really excited about.

I've begun the programme with AKG and aleeady I've noticed the difference with tailored advice and support.

This includes the seminar in CV and cover letter writing, always worth having a refresher, especially keeping up to date in an ever changing world of job hunting.

I had Stephanie Cookson as my tutor for the past 11 months during my junior estate agency apprenticeship. She was always available outside of my learning days to answer any questions, and she explained everything so clearly. She genuinely cared about both me and my learning.

She made me excited for my lessons and is a truly wonderful person. Her encouragement and positivity gave me so much confidence, and she always pushed me to do my best while making me feel capable every step of the way. No question ever felt too small, and she took the time to make sure I fully understood everything.

Without her, I would never have passed my apprenticeship—I truly couldn’t have done it without her. She was patient, understanding of my situation, and always made me feel supported, valued, and cared for throughout the entire process. I’m incredibly grateful for everything she has done for me.

I have completed interview and a mock session on the 21/04/26 with Sue Leese. This as helped me to be more confident and I have learnt that i need more practice and the tutor was very helpful.

Interviews 21/04/26 Sue Leese I have gained the knowledge on how to prepare, answer and know questions to ask for a interview. I will be able to take this and practice daily and use the skills and knowledge i have required to get employememt. I feel this has boosted my confidence with interviews. My tutor supported me by working with me and providing feedback on How to answer interview questions.

Stephanie was an amazing tutor and I can’t thank her enough, she made sure I understood everything I learnt and helped me improve. She was there for me every step of the way and made my apprenticeship enjoyable!

I attended the mock interviews, preparing to start work session with Lisa at the Tamworth AKG office. I was a little bit nervous because I haven't done anything like this for a while, but felt as if Lisa put me at ease pretty much straight away. The course itself has helped a lot from both a learning point of view and also an interaction/confidence point of view. Highly recommend if you've been referred to AKG, as the courses I've attended so far have been very valuable.

I arrived in the United Kingdom without any knowledge of English, but thanks to AKG, I progressed from a beginner level to Entry 3 and can now communicate confidently with others.

I was fortunate to study in groups taught by Laura Suna throughout all three courses. Laura proved to be a highly attentive and supportive teacher who patiently and politely helped us master English grammar, while also ensuring we developed skills in writing letters, reviews, cover letters, and CVs.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to AKG, and personally to Laura Suna, for the knowledge I have gained, as well as for their professionalism and consistent support in addressing any questions that arose during the learning process.

At the start of my course, I had a rocky beginning and found myself falling quite far behind. However, everything changed when I started working with Gemma Hares. With her support and guidance, I was able to catch up and make real progress.

I’m incredibly grateful for all the help she gave me I’ve come so far and even achieved a distinction, which I’m really proud of. I would love to continue on to Level 3 with Gemma as my tutor. She’s truly amazing at what she does and has made such a positive difference in my learning experience.

I attended the course supporting parents with work today 23/03/26 with Sue Leese.
This was a good experience to be apart of to get an understanding of the soft and hard skills that employers look for when looking for new employees. Would happily attend another training course like this to get more knowledge and skills about different work sectors.

I attended the Get Started Employability Skills Course with Sue in March 2026 and thoroughly enjoyed it. There were some first day nerves, after all a group of strangers are put together in a room, but anyone who was anxious or nervous were put at ease very quickly. The course allowed you to work at your own pace, both individually and in groups. Every task was taught differently which meant everyone was engaged and participating. The tutor, Sue, was extremely helpful, she tailored the course to our abilities, she made us all feel comfortable and adapted the course to which jobs and careers we were seeking. The course was really helpful to me with ideas on how to set my personal goals, overcoming my awkwardness when working with others, how to improve my CV, the transferable skills that I now recognise I have, and a boost to my confidence and motivation in my work search journey.

First of all, I would like to mention that I used a translation tool to help me write this message, as I am still learning English. However, the thoughts and feelings expressed here are completely genuine and reflect my personal experience.
I would like to share my very positive experience with Teacher Kainaat. She was my first teacher in the UK, and before starting my classes I felt quite nervous and lacked confidence. However, her classes completely changed that experience for me.
Kainat teaches with great patience, clarity, and care. Whenever we struggled with a word or concept, she explained it carefully using examples and sometimes even images to make sure everyone understood. She always gave equal attention to every student and never moved on until she was confident that the whole class understood the lesson.
Thanks to her supportive teaching style, I gained much more confidence in learning English and felt encouraged to continue improving my language skills.
I would be very happy to attend another class with Teacher Kainat in the future, and I would greatly appreciate being informed if such classes become available. I would also like to thank your organization for having such dedicated and professional teachers, as it truly makes a positive difference in students’ learning experiences.
