A Year Later, no Sale, no Car.
I was desperate. I started looking for solutions for how to get out of my car lease. I started looking online and found this website called LeaseTrader.com. I started doing some research and it seemed pretty legit. I started filling out the information and boom, there was a price to put an ad up for your car. I was hesitant at first, the whole point was I didn't have money and I am trying to get out of a terrible financial decision that is causing me panic and anxiety every day. I stopped filling out the application.
I got a phone call. The rep was friendly and explained the whole process to me. He made me realize how deep in the hole I was and how little options I had left. I said screw it. I need to get out of this lease and this seems legit. He made it super simple, he helped me list my car and assured me most vehicles get sold within a few months up to 6 months.
A year later and my car never sold. $450 that are non-refundable, ONE person who messaged me about the car, but sketchily enough found another vehicle almost immediately...And my car has been repossessed and I'm now both out of a car AND $450 to list a car on a website that is supposed to take all the financial hassle out of a lease transfer. I don't know how there are no more reviews on this. This was sketchy from the beginning and I should've listened to my gut. These people prey on people who are at their last resort and just don't know what else to do to get out of these crazy leases that have us in a chokehold.
If you want my opinion. Don't do it. Run, fast. Save your money, find another option. Don't let them call you and smooth talk you into thinking *this* is the way.
