rubbish customer service
complained on the 5/10 about a freezer (1yr old) that was creating too much ice and as a consequence the space in the freezer was greatly reduced. they sent an engineer around who told me to defrost the freezer every month. complained directly to lec and they got back to me saying that they would speak to the engineer and get back to me with a solution, they should have said "they will speak to the engineer AND NOT GET BACK TO ME!" Rubbish how you get treated after you have bought products! APPROX 10 DAYS LATER AND NO REAL ATTEMPT HAS BEEN MADE TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE!!

LEC fridge
This new fridge is a perfect mix of quality and price. It has all the shelves needed and a good size freezer compartment. Very good price from a dealer in Ruislip and free delivery. Would recommend this product.

Black LEC Fridge/freezer
My black LEC Fridge/freezer arrived as scheduled. 1 of the delivery drivers was swearing out in the street quite loudly about dropping something on his toe (I think) & they were very 'gung ho'. The appliance was as expected although the finish on the sides & top is not smooth as on the doors so a bit disappointing. The top drawer in the freezer is extremely shallow & the 2 handles of the bigger drawers would be better placed at the top not at the bottom of the drawers as the bottom handle is almost on the floor & no good if you can't bend down. Otherwise it's OK for the price.

New LEC Fridge/Freezer as good as ever
I needed a fridge/freezer of a very exact size to fit in a very restricted space. LEC had the exact product l needed. I bought with confidence because l have purchased LEC products for many, many years. I have not been disappointed with new product. The quality is as good as ever & it looks very stylish too.

Misleading temperature indication.
I recently bought a CF200L Mk2 chest freezer and found the temperature indication to very misleading. The temperature indicated on display (-18C) is not an accurate indication of the temperature inside. The temperature displayed was -18C from the moment it was first switched on, obviously impossible. So I bought a thermometer to see how it actually performed. In amongst the now frozen food at the bottom of the freezer it struggled to reach -14C and in the basket at the top was no more than -10C. To achieve the required -18C inside I’ve had to raise the temperature to -22C on the display.

High specification
This freezer has a high specification. I like the led light in the lid as it’s useful when getting a quick item in the garage. Good control system, but why is it low down near the floor as it’s difficult to operate if you’re disabled. The hinge guards are also quite thin and could break easily. But overall the freezer is very quiet and very good value for the money. I would definitely recommend.
