The shelves are not the same size
The shelves are not the same size. One of the brackets for hanging is off center. Don’t know if that will be a problem when hanging. After discussing the issue with them, they are sending us new ones. Thank you

Just what I was hoping for!
I ordered custom open shelves for my kitchen, and they are exactly what I was looking for. Aiden was very responsive to my email about the custom route locations, and the shelves arrived quickly and well packaged. Would definitely order again!

Perfect Showcase for Artworks
I purchased a 50 floating shelves for my gallery displays. The installation was easy. People, mostly men, want to see how they are installed. The shelves highlight my artwork perfectly—showcasing them individually yet all together—and the weightlessness makes for an airy space.

Color all wrong
The shelves arrives super quickly. I only gave 3 stars because they advertised the color I purchased as “natural, no stain” and the minute I opened the box I knew it would be returned! It looked like it had a dark stain on it. I contacted the company and they said it’s just the aging of the wood.. if that’s the case, they should indicate that on the website. It cost me $35 to return them so make very certain before you buy!

Though we have had many conversations via email, I did want to reply publicly to your review. The shelves simply are not stained. Our listing provides detailed information regarding the reason the shelves are darker on the outside, along with pictures showing the variations in color. The wood has been in working barns for decades. When they are cut to be made into shelves, you will see the inside of the wood that has not been exposed to the elements, thus the difference in color. We do also provide a clear and full Return Policy on our site that is available prior to purchase. While I certainly understand that this is your opinion, I want to be sure to point out that the information provided in your review is not factual.

1) I purchased your shelves and enjoyed them. After I purchased the SAME shelves one month later, I was surprised you changed the final cut, and the shelves are different
2) One of the newly purchased shelves was defective, and the return procedure is not as simple as should be - I needed reauthorization and had to pay for a FedEx shipment

I'm wondering if you could provide any more information regarding what you mean by the changing "final cut"? While each piece of wood is unique and it's likely that you may have gotten shelves made of wood from a different barn than the ones you previously had, we haven't made any changes to the way any of our shelves are made.
I do understand that you didn't prefer the look of the distressing on your shelf. We do our best to provide many pictures so that customers can understand the variety of markings/distressing that the shelves may have, but we understand that the distressed look is not for everyone! We are always happy to accept a return if it's not the look you prefer. It looks like your return was authorized quickly and the return instructions were provided for you. Unfortunately, as a small company we are only able to offer free shipping to the customer, but we are not able to cover the return shipping when an item is not defective. The products were shipped very guickly…
The products were shipped very guickly and the quality of the shelves we purchased were perfect. The barn shelves we picked were perfect for our new counter in our family room that has a shiplap wall above the cabinets. They are exactly as stated with some nail and screw holes, knots, etc. we like the natural look and feel they provide. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for heavy duty shelving.
